PDF print is slightly larger

I put a picture on a piece of paper 8.5 x 11 and saved as a PDF file. Once it has been printed directly from Acrobat image was printed slightly larger than when I print directly from Photoshop. Why is this and is it possible that I can fix it?

Either by the way, I already checked to see if 'scale adjusted to the page' has been verified and it was not.

Thank you!

I was wondering this b/c I send a PDF to someone and I'm worried it will print larger than actual size, I want it to.

Check each document to see if the two documents have the same pixel dimensions (have so many pixels wide by pixels) and that they are at the same resolution of ppi in the file.  Also check the printing parameters for each application.

You have not indicated what platform you're (Macintosh or Windows), what exact version of the operating system and applications (Photoshop and Acrobat) you are using, what type of printer and what version of the printer driver.  Also mention the exact physical size of the document printed in order to get an idea of what "slightly larger" means to you.

You offer us not nearly enough information.

Acrobat 7 is not compatible with anything whatsoever beyond Windows XP. Beginning with Windows Vista and forward, there was changes in the way the drivers work such as the instance of the Adobe PDF, PostScript printer driver had to be changed. The first version of Acrobat that was fully compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.x is Acrobat 8.1. If a user has installed Acrobat 8 on such a system and then applied the 8.1 update, the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance appears and works.

Unfortunately, Acrobat 8's is more granted by Adobe. Your upgrade path is now in Acrobat Pro DC.

Use the application menu item Pages v5: provide Feedback Pages to communicate directly with the product Pages v5 team. Apple executives and engineering teams do not participate in this community of public support, users, and we are not Apple employees. And, like you, Apple don't share information, nor ask our opinion about the products.

I suggest you double check the parameters width and height in the middle of custom paper in the Pages to ensure that the values are not knocked over accidentally. In addition, make sure you have the latest drivers of the sellers of the printer installed that are compatible with the version of Mac OS X on your customers computers.

I used Pages v5 since it was initially published in 2013. I've never met a scenario where I submit content in portrait layout, and selection of the print/PDF offers orientation reversed, or bad PDF/PS output. I don't remember anyone in this community complaining about this before either.

I have a document of v5.6.2 of two pages which is letter portrait mode. I change the format of paper in a format customized which lies in a portrait, but much narrower layout. When I PDF/print/export to PDF, the content is in the new provision, and resembles that in v5.6.2 Pages.

  • PDF PRINTER

HP Office Jet printer, model 4620. My questions: what is a printer? Is the 4620 a PDF printer? How to print to a PDF file? I am running the XP operating system.

    Hello

Your printer can print PDF files that it prints a normal document of the computer.

Click on 'File' and then 'print'. This will open a print dialog box, view the different options. Some web browsers and readers to print a button available at the top or bottom of the document without having to open the file menu.

  • Missing lines in print Outlook calendar, but not with the PDF printer

    Hello

I bought a HP Officejet 6700 Premium [H711n], but from the beginning, when I print my weekly calendar in Outlook there are missing lines in each nomination.

    My system:

The system is HP Officejet 6700 Premium (all updates, driver ver: 9.0.0, usbscan.sys worm: 6.1.7600.16385, HPScanTRDrv_OJ6700.dll worm: 25.0.614.0, HPWia2_OJ6700.dll ver: 24.5.276.0), and Windows 7 SP1 32 bit (all updates), as well as Microsoft Outlook 2007 SP3 (all updates). The system is connected to the printer via USB, no WiFi or so.

    My problem:

When I print my weekly Outlook calendar with my new Officejet, the upper and the bottom lines in all appointments is missing. I did a few small arrows in the photo, to show that appointments block timelines. (see scan & Outlook screenshot).

    (a) when I use my printer with Outlook to create a PDF file of my calendar, the exported PDF file is perfect. If I CAN open the PDF file with my Viewer and print calendar with my Officejet page, printing looks like it should look like. (see screenshot)

    (b) my old man, but broke a LEXMARK C530DN printer, print the pages of the calendar always correctly.

    My settings:

Given that I bought and installed the printer a few weeks ago, I changes nothing on the HP driver settings. It is plain vanilla. The problem was there from the beginning. I tried once to solve it by changing the quality of "normal" to "optimal", but it did not help, so I put it back.

    Other printing problems:

No, everything worked except the Outlook calendar printing.

According to me, these are enough detail to reproduce the issue easily.

Any idea outside workaround with my pdf printer? Maybe there something wrong with the driver HP itself? (Just an idea...)

    Best regards

  • print size too large after changing the print cartridge

Sounds like an easy fix should be up there, but I'm not super computer savvy... after that we changed the print cartridge for the first time with this printer (and who knows what may happen after when my husband tried to fix it), the font of printing is too large AND prints a blank page of paper before the actual page prints with a font that is too large to fit properly on paper 8.5 x 11 inches. Hi rkusa1,

Thank you for using Microsoft Windows forum

QuickBooks worked very well under Vista? It should also work reliably on Windows 7.

However, you may want to follow these steps.

    1. right click on your quickbooks start exe file and open properties.

    2. on the Compatibility tab, select the compatibility mode and run this program in compatibility mode for Windows using the following link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows (only if she worked very well with former Windows operating system)

    3. the control privilege level "Run this program as Administrator". Press apply/OK to close properties.

    4. start - devices and printers - add a printer - add a local printer - create a new port - local port and name it QBD_PDF.

    5. Choose install AMYUNI Technologies - Amyuni Document Converter 300 (click the button update windows if it is not on your list).

    6. If windows detects you already have a driver and then choose to replace the current driver. The printer name Quickbooks PDF Converter - do not share the printer - NOT set as the default printer. Finishing

    7. start right click - devices and printers - printer QB, choose printer - properties and go to the Advanced tab.

    8. remove the checkmarks in the 4 elements with square next to them (lower part of the screen) boxes, and then select "Print directly to the printer" press OK to close the window.

9 restart you computer and open Quickbooks. Open the file - printer installation and make sure of Quickbooks PDF Converter is selected for any operation PDF printer that you use frequently. (on rare occasions, you will see not of Quickbooks PDF Converter on the list, reboot again and you'll get it).

You can now perform operations of PDF in Quickbooks (works for 32 and 64-bit Windows 7)

  • Make the wallpaper slightly larger than the screen

    Hello

I work with the simulator of the storm. I know that the screen size is fixed (obviously; "I think it's 320 x 480), but I want to make a slightly larger background image and allow scrolling horizontally and vertically.

In other words, I want to be able to make a pan larger than the image of the screen; An image that has limits.

I say, "which has limits," because I tried this, but the image is tiled, instead of being a single. A TI seems constantly to the left and down. Any help please.

USE_ALL_HEIGHT and USE_ALL_WIDTH are a problem, as I predicted. Since you give your MyScreen VERTICAL_SCROLL and HORIZONTAL_SCROLL, it gives her children a height and a width of Integer.MAX_VALUE > 1. USE_ALL_HEIGHT and USE_ALL_WIDTH do all that great width and height.

In order to make the screen exactly the size you want to substitute sublayout and take a look at net.rim.device.api.ui.Manager setVirtualExtent and setExtent methods. Some of the best examples of the override of this method are found in the code of

Implement advanced buttons, fields and managers

I have opted for a new computer bullzip and uses PDF printer on a daily basis, but seem to fight for download the ghostscript lite to work under Windows 7.  It shows a timeout error after a few seconds.

    Hello

Ghostscript is an interpreter for the language PostScript (TM). A PostScript interpreter usually takes as input a set of graphics commands. The output is usually a page bitmap which is then sent to an output such as a printer or display device. PostScript is embedded in many printers.
