PDF vs PDF publication print

What is the difference between printing a PDF file and edit a PDF file. I know that if a printed and published one is combined the links become screwed up in the document. Is there a difference between the two?

My 'take' on this subject

'Print' - digital content ends like a fingerprint on a sort of paper.

'Release' - digital content is reassigned to a different file format.

"Released" files PDF can be provided through the use of the printer Adobe to get a simple PDF (no ' extras', any content of the page) or via an interface between an application and distill (as PDFMaker or FrameMaker interface or InDesign) which translates into robust PDF.

Be well...

    Hi people,
When you try to print a document in pdf format, the 'pdf converter' printer disappeared form the print options. Does anyone know how to restore or where to download them from? Is it a tool included in Windows 7 or in any other free Adobe product? The fact is that I was used to print office in pdf documents and suddenly he disappeared from my computer and I don't know how to get it back.

    Hello

I see that you have not found the pdf print option while you try to print a document.

You are able to locate Adobe in Control Panel, in Add / Remove programs?

    Method 1:

If so, try to uninstall and reinstall to check if it works very well.

    Uninstall or change a program

    Method 2:

If not, try the same download from the Adobe Web site:

    any help appreciated

On behalf of Adobe, no version of Acrobat before 8.1 is completely installable or useable on any version of Windows beyond Windows XP. There are fundamental differences in the way that the Adobe PDF printer is installed and accessible on later (1) Windows Vista and/or (2) 64 - bit versions of Windows. In addition, Acrobat 7 coordinates with all recent versions of all Microsoft Office applications. You need Acrobat DC licenses at this stage.

  • PDF is printed only in legal paper and not of letter size when they are

PDF is printed in legal format.

For example if I create a pdf file from a doc word and open in the drive and try to print it, it automatically assigns for legal paper size.  When I try to resize or choose paper handling letter then I miss the first paragraph of the sentence.

Everyone knows what happens or do you know how to fix this?  I spilled and downloaded version 11.  I'm on a mac (10.6.8).

    Hey sullyfilms,

Could you please let me know which version of reader you use.

This question appears with all the PDF files you want to print or someone specific?

Choose PDF of the letter and then choose an option 'Fit' under Page scaling in the print properties dialog box.

Please check the same and let me know.

    Kind regards

  • How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

After reading dozens of forum, I not yet found the answer.

I made a photo album with full-colur and b & w photos for Offset print. I want to be for the b & w grayscale avoid the hues of colors possible. It seems that InDesign does not support the shades of gray, how images become dark. Even with export without any conversion of color or the destination and/or including profiles of original colors, the images are exported to obscurity as a PDF to grayscale.

How can I export to PDF for printing Offset, including colors and grayscale of the photo?

Yes, Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same

This can become difficult because 3 programs manage proofing differently.

Work spaces don't matter, document profiles that handle the preview. So here's the same image in grayscale, placed in the ID on the top and PS on the bottom. I put my info in Photoshop to display the profile of doc in the lower left corner. I can see the profile of my InDesign CMYK Document in my test format (CMYK work is different and is not used). The two profiles are actually the same coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of the PS).

But the previews do not match because I disabled, so the preview InDesign is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview overprinting.

If I turn on overprint preview, I get a match because I'm soft proofing for printing:

  • Who/why recent updates include by default all PDFs to print double-sided

Until the recent updates, I had no difficulty to save and print the PDFs Online / recorded. Today, my printer (set up for printing single page) has been comandered by

Adobe PDF and entered the duplex printing when when pdf documents recent and past were printed and verified.

It IS a without NOTICE 'UNACCEPTABLE' IMPROVEMENT (?).    I was not provided with any list of "options" include/add/choose regarding behavior of default printer integrated into saved/read/new documents in PDF format. This exhausted time printer and ink with loading, notice to reverse or note to add more paper. I now have to check and clear the check box to checked for double-sided and erase the default PDF.  When the so-called same defect free document is closed and then reopened, the default status is returned to "double face".

It should be this respectful environment politically correct option must be a printing option that should check for when open and wanted to.  I wouldn't be this unannounced stupid assumption, badly thought, aspberger-teckie forced to conduct good consumer and needs.

You would probably better this ad in the appropriate forum for Acrobat, but it has certainly not been any feature added by Acrobat, Adobe Reader, Adobe or PDF file format to save some default printing type in a document.

When it is called, the Acrobat / print drive dialog box will usually use the most recently used settings. So, if I print a.pdf duplex, unless I have change the setting, it will print the next print job, whether as a.pdf or b.pdf duplex. If after printing a.pdf duplex, I print b.pdf as simplex and then try to print again a.pdf , the print dialog box shows simplex, not the duplex setting on I already used to a.pdf.

Not environmentally friendly, politically correct option is forced on you or someone else.

You can check your printer driver settings. They can be the source of the symptoms that you observe.

  • AcroPDF in VB6 - text to search in the PDF and print this page.

Okay, so I'm sure this question has been asked and answered 100 times, but for some reason that my Googling skills are seriously miss you today...

I have a legacy application built in Visual Basic 6 that generates a special form letter PDF documents.  Each PDF contains all letters that were printed so far.  I really it work all rather decently, but something came earlier that put me on programming new obsession.  I want to activate the following features of my application:

    1. The user provides a text string that must be unique among all pages of all PDF (customer ID).
    2. The application then finds the PDF containing this text string that identifies which number of the page containing this text string.
    3. Finally, send only this page to the printer.

I can now easily create, view, and print the PDF of my application.  While the creation of the document is made in a third of the reports system, display and printing functions are essentially managed using AcroPDF.dll.  Through the properties and methods available for AcroPDF object, I see that I can tell it to print only the specified pages, which gives me the last part of my needs, and I have the part of the user input down pat.  I'm just totally puzzled to find a solution to the 'step 2 '.

Suggestions, ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated.  I'm a little tired of banging my head against a wall.  Thank you for your time.

If you are only using Adobe Reader, then this feature is available.

If you have Adobe Acrobat, then you have a few options.

  • HP Envy 4524: Printer PDF files print does not correctly

I have two files: a jpeg and a single pdf, card, size A4.  They look identical when displayed on the screen, but when I print, the jpeg format is perfect and the pdf smear through it. This is a new printer and I had no such problem on my previous HP Photosmart 6510. Any ideas?

    Hello @pamhans, greetings!

Welcome to the HP Forum! It is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get help and advice.

I understand that you are having problems when printing an image in PDF format. I would like to help with that.

First of all, I would like to know the app that you use to open / print PDF files. You use "Adobe reader" or another application?

If you do not use the Adobe reader software, please install Adobe reader, and then try to print the pdf image.

If you already use Adobe reader software, follow the steps below:

    1. try the option "Print as image":

    • Choose file > print and then click Advanced.
    • Select print as Image.
    • Click OK to close the Advanced Print Setup dialog box, and then click OK to print.

    2. install the last update:

    • Open Acrobat or Reader.
    • Choose Help > check for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
    • Once installed, restart your computer.
    • Print the PDF again.

In addition, please go through the steps here: http://hp.care/2dSDxCD

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance

  • automatic backup in pdf and print

I run a test on several devices,

I created a program and it print the first page of automaticlly labview using a PDF printer. CutePDF

I have a copy of the report I did in form EXCEL or .csv.

It doesn't look like the same page pdf print outs, the layout that is.

is there a way for me to print automatically, but also save it as a pdf? (so that if in the future, I've mislaid the paper printed, I can always reprint)

In addition, for the moment, I want to save the file in

    SN_343432.PDF

    SN_234343.PDF

or any name I wanted rather than give a predefined file name PDFCreator for me?

the reason because if we create a database, it is easier to sort by SN_XXXXXXX.pdf rather than a predefined PDFCreator file name?

If anyone has a solution to this, please let me know

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Krispies,

It seems that it is more a problem with the PDF Creator software with LabVIEW.  I see a possible solution.  You can monitor the directory where PDF files are saved and then using LabVIEW to change the names that they are created by the PDF Creator software.  Otherwise, you will need to ask a VI interface for PDF Creator software.  Please let me know if I misunderstood.  Thank you!

  • JO 4632: oj4632 hp does not desire to internet only to save it in pdf format print

Impossible to find PH # to ask for help or even an HP e-mail link (another paid repair then there is people... what a piece of shit)

    Hello
Google chrome, once you open the print dialog, click change and select the printer instead of the default save as PDF from Chrome option and you should be able to print.

  • I want to download a software for my Window XP convert Word & Excel files to PDF for printing.

I don't where it can be downloaded from your Web site and pls show me the way how step by step.

    Thank you.

All you have to do is to download and install the freeware "CutePDF Writer".
    CutePDF Writer: <> http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp >

You will need to install the program to the writer and the program GhostScript which is posted on the Web site.
After installing the program, just open your Word or Excel file (or any other file that prints) and select 'File--> Print.  When you do so, you will find that you have a new printer installed called "CutePDF Writer".   Print this "printer" and it will ask you what file name to save your .pdf file in.
