Perfect Photo Suite 6 launch error
I get the following error message when you try to launch onOne perfect Photo Suite 6 of Lightroom 3.5 Software:
An internal error has occurred: the system cannot locate the resource specified. Error during processing of the resources 'http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd'.
I found a mention of this error on the web, but no solution has been offered. I did some experiments on my own and seem to have isolated the source of the problem. My development machine is deliberately and permanently isolated from the internet, but when I plugged temporarily on the web, perfect Photo was able to launch from Lightroom without any problem.
It seems an internet connection is necessary for integration to work - which by the way, doesn't make any sense to me, given that both applications are installed on my local system.
It's too bad, because nowhere in the system for perfect Photo specifications or Lightroom internet connectivity appears as a requirement, and I would have thought twice before committing to these applications.
Is there a way to get the integration to work without an internet connection?
Thank you
-Ed
I suggest that you only contact the perfect people. I don't see as a problem of Lightroom.

To develop, I used LR for over a year now and never had a problem until today. I'm downloading my card directly on my Macbook Pro. I'm not using a card reader, I use the Macbook card slot.
I made the repair permissions in disk utility and tired again and would not always import the test shots. Received the same error message. I created a new catalog for the wedding I have to shoot this weekend and it was the only thing I did differently. I tried to import an existing catalog test firing, and she brought them. I deleted the new catalog and created a new and it allowed me to import my test shots. I have no answers as to why it worked, but I thank you for your response.

Could something intercept Internet to iCloud photo library and cause delays? A firewall or Antivirus filter? Have you recently installed software?

Photo Suite land 7 is compatible with Windows Vista?
I am running vista but need my photo suit programe land 7 and I get a pop up that say how I have more to come this compatibility problems
Hello
always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below
http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx
If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator
It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode
This does not work for all programs
read the information below
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-compatibility-mode/
If a program is particularly important to you, there is this way of trying
but it's expensive, because you must have a previous operating system license to install
This method also works in vista Home premium, BUT is not supported by microsoft

Windows Live Photo Gallery causes the error Code: 0 x 80010108
I have a desktop XPS 8500 running Windows 7. Love it except for one thing: Windows Live Photo Gallery causes the error Code: 0 x 80010108. Yes, I x it down and go ahead and use my computer but like it to stop. I have google code and there are a number of fixes called there for him - even though they claim. But I was reluctant to download anything on sites I don't necessarily trust OR conform to change my registry to fix it. Can someone recommend a cure to my problem? I have confidence in this forum for more than 12 years and feel that you will not recommend something that might get me in trouble.
Thank you
Bessie
Hi Bessie,
Thanks for the reply. I suggest you to uninstall Windows Live Essentials from the computer and update to the latest version. You can download it from the link http://bit.ly/GQ9tPI . Please disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer (printers, external hard drives, flash drives) and do not have any CD/DVD in the drive while following the steps.
Answer please if you have any questions.

Original title: error starting in WL photo library
Hello guys,.
I use the photo gallery of WL (latest version) for some time, but one day it stopped working without remembering any important changes that might break a.
When I try to run it, it gives this error:
---------------------------
Windows Live Photo Gallery
---------------------------
Windows Live Photo Gallery encountered an error and cannot start.Error code: 0 x 80070035
---------------------------
Ok
---------------------------I tried to reinstall it but without success. I've also renamed the files Pictures.pdX C:\Users\
\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery, but with the same result. Not to mention that the event log does not contain messages recorded on this subject and also the follow-up of the process with Process Monitor did not show anything that would tell me the cause of this problem...
If someone from the Live team or an MVP watch that I can send you the output monitor process or any other information that you might find useful.
Any other suggestions on what I can try next?
Thank you!
Chris
I'm waiting for the confirmation of the guys from the Live team on this, but I've corrected this problem.
The error came from the fact that Windows registry stalled Chronogram of some access roads network I had on my computer from a former WHS (Windows Home Server) box so basically, Windows Explorer - WL photo library was still trying reach these network paths, even if in Explorer / settings there is no references to WHS, so registry entries in neutral paths and wrong...
Replace the data of those key in the Windows registry under the HKEY CURRENT USER corrected this problem and I was able to start WL photo library.

When you try to import photos I get an error that says: Preview is not available for this file. Then when I try to download these files, a gray box returns for each photo with the name of the file, and this error message -Preview is not available for this file but no picture. The files are JPEG files. I use Lightroom CC help?
Some additional information. I received these photos of my granddaughter of my son with Dropbox. I checked the files under properties and found that they were listed as "some blocked properties" so I checked the box to 'unlock' and click on apply. The blocked message went away. Then, I took the original photos out of the folder of file they were in. I went back to LR and made sure those grey boxes with the Preview is not available for this file was missing. Then I went to the new files with the status of unlock in a new folder and tried to import into LR... same thing happens again! UGH
Hi rsobieski,
Could you please copy the images of Dropbox in a new folder on the computer/pictures folder.
Also, then try again to import images into Lightroom and also please check if you have read and write permissions on the images.
Kind regards
Tanuj

Hi, my camera is a nikon d 5300. Lightroom is 5.7.1. Lightroom cann not read or develop the photographs that are taken in raw. If I try to import raw photos - there is the error report that lightroom does not know this kind of raw format. My computer is 1 year (Win 7 HP). Who could help me?
Eugen
DJ, the version number is in the subject line: 5.7.1. It's weird because this version should support the D5300 very well. My main guess would be a bad player or a bad USB cable.
Eugen, you can try plug the camera directly and download the images like this?
