• How can I install Dreamweaver CS5.5 using my serial number? I don't see the trial for CS6 download.

  My company bought the Creative Suite CS5.5, and one of my colleagues used our permit for Dreamweaver on his computer. Now, he has left the company, and I would like to install the license on my computer so I can use from my station.

  When we installed the software on his computer, we just downloaded the trial version and then entered in our serial number. However, now I can only find the download for CS6 and put my serial number in there for CS5.5 does not magically downloads this version for me, unfortunately.

  Anyone know how I can install the license on my computer? I thought he could have on both computers, just one computer would be able to access the software at a time. I just need to figure out how to install it...

  When adding "BOLD" in Design view (fort) to two words at the beginning of my last line of the paragraph paragraph disappears. It's a bit worrying because it means that any change I make in dreamweaver could do massive amounts of damage to the content.

  We're pasting the original content in the mode code to strip the formatting that Dreamweaver then decided to take the last point source code line break and then remove it see example below:

  What strong application with the "BOLD" button in design discovers first words "Lorem ipsum" the last part of the paragraph "lobortis vehicula lacinia interdum odio" is deleted. Weird and very dangerous, especially for the content of the annual report.

  I think I've solved with the help of apple. I usually use dreamweaver on my imac, but I keep a backup of the program and my files on my macbook. It worked fine on my macbook. the apple fellow I talked today (and it was the first of five or six to understand this), suggested I remove all my fonts on my imac user, copy and paste all my my book mac user fonts into my imac. It worked.

  If you can't do that, it seems obvious that a user font is the culprit. deactivation of fonts in the font book wasn't enough, that you actually had to remove them from the system, he said.

• Dreamweaver permissions for local site?

  After a long while I need to update a site I built using Dreamweaver CS3. I've never bothered update DW to CS5 because he worked well with DW3. But now he says that licensing for DW 3 requires a reinstall so I finally installed DW 5. Now he says, he can't find the index.html file. This is in the site of my public folder folder, but I guess after several OS updates (Yosemite Mountain Lion) somehow the permissions changed.

  And you have the latest version of Adobe for Dreamweaver CS5 and installed in the summer 2015 Apple Java update to Yosemite?

  Of course, you know that Adobe has probably zero commitment for the Dreamweaver upgrade for current versions of Mac OS X. The latest Dreamweaver CS5 update was in 2011, and the last CS5.5 update was in 2012. The latest Dreamweaver CS6 update was in December 2012. You try to make a software that has been published to OS X Lion work schedule in four new versions of OS X. Adobe has evolved.

  Time to look for a replacement of Dreamweaver CS5. Preferably something that doesn't depend on Java.

• Dreamweaver gives privileges to group write to download files

  I use Dreamweaver under Windows (10), but my site is hosted under Apache on a * nix system. The host throws a server error, if a browser trying to access a PHP script that allows anyone except the owner writing, likely for understandable security reasons. It seems that any file that is published 'de novo' of my local site is given privileges of writing group on the remote server, although once privileges are set correctly they do not change if the file is modified in the future. Is it possible to specify the default privileges for DW to use when it downloads the files? I just moved two great sites to my host and discovered on the problem of the hard way!

  Some FTP clients provide this capability, but the FTP of Dreamweaver client does not work. When you are in the extended view of the local server and remote you can right-click a file or a directory to change permissions.

  In my view, there is a file called proftpd.conf - nix servers where you can set FTP default values. I never had to set this up, so I can't help you there.

  I connect via FTP to my server two different Mac computers, a Dreamweaver CS3 running and the other - CS5.

  One day the computer running CS3 stopped connection using the credentials. Same credentials work very well to the other computer.

  An expert from Adobe told me in the trash a bunch of preferences files and "pure software", but after I reinstalled it and restarted, Dreamweaver still not forget my serial number and the address of the FTP server to which it still does not connect. So it wasn't really a 'clean' reinstallation, was it?

  Does anyone know how to make a true 'clean install' or maybe just trash the file that contains the serial number and the connection (probably corrupt) information?

  Thing to consider.  It is possible that your Mac user account is corrupted.  Try to create a new full super user with read/write permissions.

  You can certainly use Dreamweaver to create such a site. However, Dreamweaver will not generate the code to connect to the database, perform authentication, and update records. For many years, Dreamweaver had server behaviors that created the code for you, but they have been removed from Dreamweaver CC a couple of years because they use the deprecated code that no longer works on the latest version of PHP.

  You can purchase third-party extensions for Dreamweaver generate the necessary code by using up-to-date methods, but the cost will be in addition to the price of Dreamweaver.

  If someone tells you that you can get free server behaviors as an add-on to Dreamweaver, ignore them. The code does not work on 7 of PHP.

• Dreamweaver CC 2015 will not be installed

  I recently bought Dreamweaver CC 2015 and was trying to install it via an already active creative cloud app.  Lightroom and Photoshop CC have been installed more than 2 years ago and have worked without problem through creative cloud.  Each attempt installation of Dreamweaver has resulted in an error code 7 by a reference to the folder permissions.  I checked the permissions of all the other records of Adobe and assured that they match Dreamweaver files.

  • The first installation attempt left a KEYGEN.html file that has no listed owner. The location of the file is "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver 2015\configuration\Content\Reference\HTML\KEYGEN.html CC".
  • A landlord cannot be added to the file can the file be removed by all means. Tried it: standard right-click and delete in Widnows, a direct delete (with administrator permissions) command at the cmd prompt. File assassin and erasure.  Trying to add an owner was reunited with a permission denied error message.  This figure includes attemtps at the network level through Support to my office at home corp.
  • The folder that contains the file can be moved but not deleted.  I moved the folder with the file on my desktop that attemtps of retrofitting is possible.
  • Loads of installation at 42%, extracted the files in the adobetemp folder, and the installation will fail systematically to 84% of the installation to the _1829_2c927db7e02c5d479f8308baa5a8cbc5 file.
  • 42% install rest in the list "Uninstall or change a program" for the HARD drive.  After each attempt, this file has been removed through this program.
  • I studied the options in line of the error and the code and tried the fixes listed on the Adobe site (repair of the redistributable files; start and install in safe/modified mode, etc.).  No change resulting to install attemtps.
  • Error codes 7 is "Exit Code: 7 please see specific errors below for troubleshooting." For example, ERROR: DF024... Summary - 0 fatal Error (s), 1 Error (s) - payload: Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015 16.0.0.0 {C6331184-0386-11E5-8603-8572FA53140D}---ERREUR: DF024: cannot move the file in 'C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\adobeTemp\ {C6331184-0386-11E5-8603-8572FA53140D} \_1829_2c927db7e02 c5d479f8308baa5a8cbc5' to 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2015\configuration\Content\Reference\HTML\KEYGEN.html' error 5 access is denied... Try setting the correct permissions for the specified file/folder or parent, so that the admin has the right to modify. (Seq 6027)

  After several attempts to install, I uninstalled Lightroom, Photoshop and creative cloud app.  The registry has been cleaned and restarted the machine.  I then logged into my account Adobe, picked up an executable of creative cloud clean and installed, followed by a reboot.  I then tried to install 'only' Dreamweaver through the creative cloud app.  I got the same result.  I followed the installation of Dreamweaver with a facility failure own (through the creative cloud) of Lightroom and Photoshop.  Both facilities were spotless and the two programs work correctly.

  I am at a loss. It seems to me that if Lightroom and Photoshop will install, load, and the function it is no reason not to expect Dreamweaver to do the same thing.

  If direct download Ben's suggestion does not resolve the problem, there is a download, installation, commissioning dedicated forum that is monitored by staff from Adobe who are experts regarding this kind of question.
