  I'm currently using Vista 64 home premium. I got this error when updating and uninstalling software sometimes in recent months. First, I noticed the problem by updating to Adobe Acrobat. By checking the registry in question key, I received the error message that I don't have permission to view the permissions on the key. When you click again, it lets look a bit.   I found several subkeys that have lost the original users and groups. Some deal with software only, some treat the software/hardware parameters. I have found no consistency for corrupt permissions except that they are always a subkey and more often 'properties', "InprocServer32" or "ProgID" and associated subkeys of the people.

  Is there a way to reset the users and groups through the registry without having to track each instance registry in which they are absent?

  I had known this same permissions problem corrupted or missing of users/groups with Windows NT4 several years ago when working on several computers and servers. My last attempt at solution involved activating the administrator user (command prompt "net user administrator /active: Yes", logging in as that user, exporting the new record, and then logging in both of myself and import this new registry.) It was quite successful, but there was an alert that certain subkeys elements could not be imported. A number of subkeys that have been corrupted have been resolved, I'm not sure that were not the case of the other keys.

  I have a FreeAgent GoFlex 2 TB drive and inside I have most of my files. When I upgraded to Windows 7 to Windows 8 I noticed that I get the error message "you do not have permission to access this folder." When I try to open one of the folders more large size. I noticed that the drive is set to read-only, and when I try to disable the check box and click on apply it is always switched on again when I check properties again. I also tried to see who has permissions for the reader and for each folder. It is said that everyone should have full read/write permission.   For me, the problem was intermittent (same registry key would sometimes cause the issue and sometimes not - must be corrupted sometimes) so it was impossible to tell what program it was.  Fortunately, there is a newspaper, you can watch that will tell you exactly what registry key is slightest mistake out.  Here are the steps to get the newspaper, you must see:

  When you see the error message, follow these steps:

  1.) press SHIFT + F10 to get to a command prompt

  2.) stand C:\windows\Panther

  3.) find the Setup.etl file and find a way to copy this file out of the system (I copied it to the partition D:\ and Ghost used to collect this partition and down the file)

  4.) copy the file to another computer that has Windows 7 setup.etl corrupt system.  Place it at the root of C:\ for easier access.

  5.) open a prompt on the Windows 7 computer.

  6.) navigate to the root of C:\ (or anywhere where you saved the file)

  7.) type "tracerpt setup.etl o logfile.csv.

  8.) close command prompt and open logfile.csv in your text editor of choice.

  9.), look in the log file (near the end, probably) for messages that say "Failed to key"reg"process or one of its descendants" to me, the exact eror looked like this: "failed to process the"reg"key or one of its descendants: [profile \REGISTRY\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Plugins\01000200\Profiles\@My] ' If you search for"«key reg"' or «failed in the process»»» You should find the failure.

  10.) remove this software from your image, or how to get the registry key that does not work properly.

  After that, you should be able to correctly identify any key problem and the elimination/workaround on your image.

  You are behind any corporate network? If not, can you please try to download the same in a new administrator account on your machine and then share the update?

  The reason for the error you get can be either permissions been corrupted on the computer due to which CC Deskop app is not able to extract the files, or it is possible that the download part is never be completed because of a firewall/proxy problem.

  Try to start your system in safe mode and disable/uninstall the game for now. If the uninstallation of this game is everything to normal, you will need to install it again. If this is not the case, try another solution.

  Hello I have problems with some filter drivers corrupted in the software cd rom - when I tried to do a restor factory image of my partition recovery-there have been a few files corrupt or missing - and then I tried to re - install windows via the OS disk-for without success due to the dfact that my CD-ROM/DVD-rom will read ALL 5 disks that came with my computer to reinstall EVERYTHING and or any software-it system will read music CD - barely - and when I rip music music CDs-they play with static - I'm puzzled - I believe that I caught a virus - or worm or something who attacked via Itunes or Windows Media Player-it got in the registry - and applications and services-one stop systematically here is that one (better) where to go to download an updated driver or a patch or re - install a pilot-it gives the messeg "you don't have permission to save to this." location"when I go on record in the records program - AND I ALSO LOST DELL MEDIA DIRECT 3.5 on my computer when I tried to do the restore - AND now I'm stuck in the water because I can't get my DVD-ROM to play discs... (help -!)

From what I can understand your optical drive cannot read the recovery disks. I also think that you say that you did a factory restore and it has failed.   I have a corrupt administrator user account that is only available in safe mode, at the command prompt.  I created another user account that gives me the Windows interface and I'm now trying to "own the administrator account to copy my files to my new user account."

  Since you were using the command prompt window when you created the new user, I just assumed you have made using the command:

  NET user newuser * / add

  where 'newuser' is the name of the new user?

  Did you also give this privilege to administrator newuser entering control:

  net localgroup administrators newuser / add

  While logged as administrator?

  It would be necessary to perform the actions that you are trying to do.

  If you mean by 'plugin list' listed in all plugins: plugins or in the addons window, you would not send images here. You should be able to download any site of your choice as long as it accepts the download of files.

  Have you tried to see the previews generation?  You can have an image corrupted in your Aperture library, which cannot be treated.

  To test this, start opening everything and now the SHIFT key. This will stop the treatment to generate previews in the background.

  Opening again, crash, when you start this way? If this is not the case, try to find the image that cannot be treated.

• Permissions problems after manual migration of the deleted user

  I am the admin of my iMac, although there are a couple of other users. After rising problems with accidents, which does not reinstall OS X, my user account has become so corrupted that Finder would launch is no longer and I was forced to do something drastic. Not wanting to reproduce the problem, I decided to give up Time Machine restore and I have just created a new user for myself and deleted my previous user account, preserving its content.

  It turns out that the copy of my user deleted to my new files was not something Apple intention we can do.

  I changed the permissions on all the files in the old (deleted) user folder to read and write to my new user and applies this setting to the contents of all folders. However, I was still unable to move the folders in my new user folder - it copied instead. Okay, well, it makes everything more difficult, but I worked through it. Now that the files have been copied to my new user folder and permissions are certainly on my current user (admin), OS X still think that I don't "own" them, i.e., I can't move things and I type my admin password to be able to copy things.

  Have you changed the file property?
  If this isn't the case, then you can change the ownership of the file using the chown command in terminal.

  Using one of the administrator account on the machine, you can run:

  sudo chown - Rv User1/Users/user3/dir1 /.
  (where "user1" will be the user that you want to change the property of and "/ Users/user/dir1 / ' will be the path of the file/directory or file you want to make this change to) [you might be promoted a password if you just enter the password there is no feedback that the password entered]

  Once the user has files that you should have no problem moving them to the users directory.
