Permissions registry VISTA IE Flash Plugin error

I had trouble installing the Flash for Internet Explorer plug-in, the error "registry permissions.

It seems like a good solution in the SUBINACL utility with the command reset_fp10 file, but I was wondering on the coding of the installation program.

The specific question (with permissions) seems to be related to the inability to create folders in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

Are programmers aware now HKCR is a merged "' database:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes

- and -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes

?

It has been like this since Windows 2000. You can learn more about this at:

http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms724475 (v = VS. 85) .aspx

For example, if you create the directory:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {D4304BCF-B8E9-4B35-BEA0-DC5B522670C2}

.. .it appears in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\ {...}

So, according to the documentation above, you could create this key HKLM and probably avoid

because of the registry error, instead of (maybe) do backward as the Setup program.

I guess the idea is you don't create in HKCR, you create in the other two, and it will appear

in HKCR (which makes it easier to see or read or something).

Just a thought...

It is a standard orientation that addresses the most common reasons for problems of Flash in Firefox. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:

    (1) make sure that all recorders/downloaders who interact with the Flash media are as up-to-date as possible, or turn them off. It could be modules or they could be external software.

    (2) disable graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox and Flash

    (A) in Firefox, uncheck the box here and restart:

Let me know how I can fix this? AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

    Hi Janetc69,

I had the same problem, after having informed me with a few mags of PC online, I simply uninstalled Adobe flash player in my laptop.
Since then, I got no problem with playback of videos with firefox browser. What more, it seems to work better than before.
Anyway most of the browsers are slowly remove Adobe flash player on their systems.
If this does not work you can always reinstall Adobe, try it.

  • ADOBE FLASH - update error.

I am running Win7Pro, Firefox 38.0.5 and Adobe Flash 18 NPAPI.

Firefox will not run content Adobe Flash. Please tell us how to fix. I tried to update adobe several times without success.

In case the problem is that the plugin is not activated, you can check the addons page? Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search for 'Shockwave Flash' down on a gray background and if you find it, change the 'never activate' to 'ask to activate '.

(With this setting, when you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.) If you do not need Flash to run on the site, ignore the notification ;)

If Shockwave Flash is not listed on the page Add - ons:

Verify the physical presence of the Plugin DLL

    On Windows 7 64 bit, it's here:

    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash

and the file would be named NPSWF32_18_0_0_160.dll (unless there is a newer version with something different instead of 160).

If the file is there... and coming out and starting Firefox save do not discover it...

One of the possible reasons for a plugin not installed on the addons page are if Firefox has been set NOT to scan the registry for plugins. Another is that the settings of Firefox, plugin data storage file is corrupt. Here are the steps to check these possibilities:

Confirm that Firefox scans the registry for plugins

Firefox detects the plugin Flash to a registry entry. Some users have scanning disabled for some reason any. Here's how check and fix this:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste the scan and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) If plugin.scan.plid.all is not set to its default value true, double-click it to activate it by default.

If you have changed this setting, close and restart Firefox to start another analysis.

If you see the Add-ons, Plugins section page again, you will find 'Shockwave Flash' it?

If Firefox is set to scan, but still do not find the Flash and the list on the page Add - ons...

Remove the registry file for the plugin for Firefox

Sometimes the pluginreg.dat file is damaged. You can remove it and Firefox plugins re-scan.

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • Menu help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste Subject: support in the address bar and press enter

In the first table of the page, click on the "view file" button to launch a new window of Windows Explorer showing your settings files.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • File menu > exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename pluginreg.dat to something like pluginreg.old

Launch Firefox back up again. (If you want to restore your previous session non-private use history > restore previous Session.)

When you return to the page modules, 'Shockwave Flash' is finally here?

  • Don't forget turn flash plugin later

There is a site I often discover that a lot of unwanted video who download and play with Flash. Sometimes, I don't want to see a video (it's a news site) and I hit 'Now allow' and playback of the video. Once, I hit 'Allow and Remember' by accident. Now, whenever I go on this site, look at one is slow and it take longer to load upwards due to the Flash junk. I can't understand how to reverse the selection of 'Allow and Remember' of this site. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash, but that has not worked. Apparently, Firefox continues to remember my choice. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi krm307, you can right click on an empty spot on the page in question and go to "show information page" from the context menu. Then go to the permissions tab, where you can revert to the behavior of click-to-play and/or change other options for that particular area.

  • Adobe Flash Plugin crashing!

Hi all! My adobe flash plugin keeps default! And never send the crash error report. Your tutorial did not work ethier. Please can anyone help solve this problem. I am running on Windows 7 and am unable update whatever it is (I don't have administrator privileges). Thanks - brandon

    Hi brandon_g,
My apologies for the reply later and happy holidays! When Flash crashes in Firefox, there are some troubleshooting steps that may be recommended to avoid that it doesn't happen.

However, in order to disable flash please click the Firefox Menu (three horizontal bar button):

    1. In the menu, click on Add ons
    2. Click on plugins on the page that opens
    3. Next to Shockwave Flash player, you can click on 'Always enable' and change to 'ask to activate '.
  • If I have the Flash Plugin on my computer, Firefox pages constantly lock

If I have the Flash plugin on my pages of computer lock and I have to close it using cont/alt/delete. When I delete Flash plugin stops problems. BUT then I get a popup saying: I need the Flash plugin and the window is still in the way of typing a web address. He is a recent problem. I tried to remove Firefox and download again, but nothing helped.
I tried clicking on install on the window, but then my pages lock constantly. It seems to be an incompatibility with Flash and Firefox.

You can check for problems with the current versions of the plugin Shockwave Flash and try this:

    • Disable protected mode in the plugin Flash (Flash 11.3 + on Windows Vista and later versions)
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Hello, I deleted the Flash plugin, and now I can't install it again. I reinstalled Firefox (deleted all the folder Program files and Application data folder), but it did not help.

Flash is not in the folder files Firefox or Firefox Applications programs. This and many other Plugins (not Extensions) are "installed" / pointed to by the Windows registry and the real files are in other locations on your hard drive.

Have you tried to uninstall all THE Adobe Flash from your system and start over?

    1. This will remove all THE Flash of your system - Firefox, IE, all other browsers

    2. Once the removal has completed, follow the previous instructions (see installation or update Adobe Flash above) to download and SAVE programs install on your drive hard for both IE and other browsers (including Firefox)

  • Adobe flash plugin "invalid" after reconstruction pluginreg.dat - why?

Just loaded Fedora 16 and it comes with FireFox7. Followed all the instructions to download Adobe Flash, loaded the .so in the plugin directory, but the plugin does not appear.

Follow the instructions in troubleshooting and has deleted the pluginreg.dat and then restarted FF.

Watched the pluginreg.dat newly created and found this:

       [INVALID]
       /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so:$
       1321705544000:$

Obviously, the flash plugin is still not recognized.

Note that all .so libraries in the plugin directory was mode 755, changed the libflashplayer.so the same permissions. No effect.

    Where now?

Please ignore. This was due to an old version of the Flash Player. When I downloaded the current stuff, everything seems to work now.

  • Adobe Flash plugin does not work with Firefox 7.0.1.in Windows XP Pro

Using Firefox 7.0.1 plugin Flash 11.0.1.152 installs OK in Windows XP Home Edition, but not Windows XP Professional.

I don't know if this is related, but the page http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer OK appears in Win XP Home but comes in the form of text in Win XP Pro.

By clicking on the download link does nothing, so I need to use Windows IE to download the Flash Installer and start it manually. When I do, Flash installs OK in Internet Explorer, but not in FF.

Windows XP and home are quite similar, the main difference is in the way security and permissions are managed.

You have probably not install or update the Flash Player plugin on the XP Pro computer. Note IE & Firefox use different plugins for FlashPlayer.

See Flash Plugin - maintain and troubleshoot issues that includes information on tests and download of flash Player.

I found a discussion more similar to my problem and they gave instructions to disable hardware acceleration by right click on a flash image in the Web site: video of Flash Player playback issues, but the image flash itself could not load.

My system restore is not available because there is no restore point has been created. one of the site I have the problem of the video is http://www.gogoanime.com/dragon-ball-super-episode-24

kindly need help from you guys that I don't know what to do to solve this problem. I tried to uninstall/install flash player and update my firefox, but the error persists.

    Thank you.

Protected mode Flash Player on Firefox 32 bit is an important defense against malware.  You greatly increase your risk of infection by disabling.

You'd be much, much better of is either Firefox 64-bit for Windows, which includes a native NPAPI plugin sandbox (we use the Firefox sandbox instead of the one that we had to renovate Firefox 32 bit), or another browser.

You can find the beta of Firefox 64-bit here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/all/

I was part of a focus group in which Lenovo many users had problems with the Flash plugin on their web browser (Re: does not have a plugin (Shockwave Flash). ) forums.adobe.com/message/7992871#7992871). Problems consisted largely of messages does not work on Chrome, Edge and IEon websites such as Facebook, Youtube, Gmail and others who use chat or to play html5 videos. Chrome, the message indicates that a plugin (Flash) became unresponsive, and then the page can no longer be reacts with. On the edge, it just stops responding.
