• Integration of UCS with vSphere - invalid URI error

  I fight to integrate the Manager UCS with vSphere vCenter.

  The extension of vCenter is exported from the UCSM without error, but when you try to install the plugin via vCenter plug-in Manager I get this error:

  "Invalid URI: the URI is empty.

  Hi Radek,

  So as long as the file is saved in the folder plugins in vCenter, and they appear in the list of plugins, then that's all you need to do. You don't need to click on the 'Download and install' button as this will not work, because you have met. This is because it is a document XML allows to activate and validate your vCenter server and communication between UCS/Nexus 1000v. There is no practical application which is executed and must be installed.

• Problems with vSphere replication

  Ive been with vSphere for about a week now and I'm faced with the logic of the replication tool V.

  I've been creeping (don't not trolling) forums and web trying to find a good source that can explain this plugin which is visible in my Web client installation method. I also license MORE.

  2. I went and made a schoolboy error, I think, I gave the vSphere replicaiton appliance the same IP address as my ESXi host. (This is how I am wrong) and now I can not access the host because of this machine. Can someone tell me how I can reconnect to this machine without a comprehensive resettlement and reconstruction of 50 guests or more.

  It is difficult to explain the internel operation of the SRM, vsphere replication etc... in this little time...

  the basics are simple... How it works... ?

  There are 2 types of replication replication 1-vsphere 2-array based replication

  vpshere replication is a basic agent - it's a VR agent will be there inside the esxi hosts this monitor of the agent running the virtual machine inside this host and replicates data binding if WAN remote site.

  the main PR\648606FR here is - once the replication of the entire virtual machine that's happened, after that only the blocks changed the VMFS will be launched on the... which is the only the modified virtual machine data will be replicated. It's called CBT, VR agent follows the blocks inside the VMFS, if any block of virtual machine data is changed it will get replicated.

  dosent it replication vsphere require no support from the underlying storage Bay...

  the second is the table of a function... where the entire replication is managed by the matrix of storage... and it works with the MRS.

  If the esx host is clustered, using the ILO and esxi shell put the host in maintenance... mode and reset the esxi

  To switch to maintenance mode, run the following command

  VMware-vim-cmd/hostsvc/maintenance_mode_enter

  and

  To exit the maintenance mode, run the following command

  VMware-vim-cmd/hostsvc/maintenance_mode_exit

  then restart the esxi host and give IP, or power off of the VR device and give IP

• Orchestrator compatible with vSphere 4.1 4.2

  Hi, I installed Orchestrator 4.2. I'm trying to set it up with vsphere 4.1. But I do not see this option/plugin for confiure it.

  I saved my orchestratir of 4.1 config file and imported into orchestrator 4.2.

  SSH (1.0.5)

  Mail (1.1.1)

  vCenter Server (5.0.0)

  All the plugins mentioned above are disabled.

  Go to "plugins" - article in the configuration on the Web and check if the plugins are enabled / activated.

  Maybe they are installed at the next restart of the service vCO.

  Also check if the username/password of the plugin configuration name are correct (on the same page in the Configurator)

  It is only a problem for the SiteAdvisor users who are still on 3.4. This problem is resolved in the latest version of SiteAdvisor, which is 3.4.1.195. Go to http://siteadvisor.com and click on download. This will fix the problem.

  Meanwhile, SiteAdvisor team will push down a JS update in the coming days 1-2 to automatically resolve this problem in version 3.4.

• Help with webworks plugin/extension.

  Hi guys, for a few weeks, I decided to love make an app for BB10. I did some research and found that this webworks was the way to go because of my prior knowledge of HTML and JS. I started to design the GUI and a few days back, I was. Then he came to the coding part, and I hit a wall, a huge wall.

  My application is a manager a little bluetooth and I need to give him the possibility to activate bluetooth in-app, but is not possible via webworks (to the best of my knowledge and apparently, my research has not sufficiently thorough). I did research more far and I found that it was possible, but only through the natives(core/cascades). I almost burst into tears because I speak of hours invested in webworks thrown through the windows. I did research more far and found that its possible for access to native code via webworks but will need a plugin/extension. Happy goes me to the site of BB and they have sort tutorial on the subject, but I spent the last 2 days on the site and is not quite explanatory.

  TL; DR... Someone at - it have a plugin/extension for webworks bluetooth or know where I can download one or know where I can find an indept tutorials on how I can make one for me? the model on github no use was more (no comments/explanation)

• Simple asax articles with oriented plugins

  Here is my scenario, I have a workflow for creating and deleting DNS records with powershell plugin. I want it to be requested through asax, and create an item that a user can then manage. And to manage, I mean delete. I tried several different ways to apply this, return of different types to be my custom resource. I'll spare you the details of each attempt, but I couldn't make it work like I wanted.

  I want to be able to make a request with asax which then becomes an item with the properties of this element. These properties can then be passed to the Actions of the resource to go off and do other things. This could apply to SSH, SQL, Powershell, and probably a few other plugins standard that don't actually create and object that sees the vRO plugin. In my case, it's a DNS record, but it could be a number of other kinds of tasks, switchport, fileshare, LUNS, set of areas, something else with ssh, etc. I should have a way to have an item with the properties. Unfortunately, I think that I can be stuck with the dynamic Types here, but which is not limit myself to REST or SOAP?

  The last thing I tried was to create elements of resource with properties that I needed. I was hoping that I could use the object to perform actions to get the data that I need to fill out the details. I don't think it's a great solution, but I was out of ideas. When I ask this workflow, it fails to vRA eventhough the workflow is managed by vRO. No logs found.

  Anyone have any ideas?

  with regard to the dynamic Types - no, you're not limited to rest/SOAP I illustrated here: plugin SQL + DynamicTypes = Simple CMDB for vCAC - part 2

  You will just need your workflow created to manipulate your files and provide unique identifiers, etc., as I did for SQL in this series of articles. A similar approach can be taken with anything you are able to write the workflow for

  I am trying to add a license to a free vSphere installation 5.1 and I see this error message. My Dell R710 server has 72G RAM, 2 x 1 TB and 2 x 6-Core 5660 2.80 Hz CPU.

  With vSphere 5.0, VMware is launching a policy which limited the maximum physical memory on a host or a cluster, according to licenses "vRAM". For the free hypervisor maximum was 32GB. This political vRam has been deleted again with vSphere 5.5 (see for example KB VMware: VMware vSphere 5.5 license and/or Update vRAM political). I'm not sure if policy has also been removed from the earlier 5.x version with the latest patches!

  Im trying to create a failover and balancing cluster with Vsphere, the goal is try to install an MSSQL DB server where the customer can access more quickly and do not have downtime when a node is down.

  I read a lot but still I can't have a full understand abt, so if anyone tries to explain something, please be patient and explain with precision.

  All doing wrong if you really work at home as a LABORATORY, and I can do it, hurt trying to use it to get a job because I don't have and I really need one soon!

  Well ill to explain it, I have clients that will send a work for my DB load process, which will affect on MSSQL Server installed on the 12 TB logical drive created from the union of all methods virtual storage. Each virtual storage is just a virtual disk created on a virtual machine that is hosted on the physical server (node).

  So I have 4 physical server which have 1 VM each with 3 TB of virtual disk, the goal is the customer can send the process of workload on 4 nodes to have a quicker response, and if a single node fails for any reason, the other node can operate withow problem.

  physical server Medley: don't know yet if I have to use one or install VMWARE directly.

  Sagna VM: Windows Server 2008 (don't know if necessary or if I can just install SQL Server directly)

  MSSQL Server VM: 2008 Enterprise (still don't know if I have to use this one)

  Well I can't think right now on the other details, but if you tell me ill be happy to write it.

  Josh, please correct me if I'm wrong, you have 4 knots of MS - SQL, and you need to read/write at the same time in a shared database of 12 to.

  If something has changed with vSphere 6 that breaks the health Analyzer?  I use the last 5.0.4.1.  After starting a new project and adding the appropriate in vCenter Server Discovery credentials, he asks for resources to scan.  I have all the boxes and

  Officially HA5.0.4.x or earlier is not supported with vSphere 6.0. Workaround: Do not enter the information from the SSO server when connecting.

  What will be missing by running HAV without SSO information?

  If VSAN in your vCenter then you will miss the following information:
  Data table for a best practice VSAN-014, table data and the analysis of best practices VSAN-004, 007 VSAN and VSAN-009
  If you have vFRC in your vCenter then data table will be missing for VM - 028.
  As a solution it is manually by using the Web Client vSphere.

  We will address these issues in the 5.0.5 release.

  It seems that the solution to this question is very simple. Just search with the right criteria.

  Sorry for that.

  The solution is to delete the cache of the browser you are using to connect to the host.

  But now the following problem occurs.

  Once connected using a windows session. I do not see my host, nor of the vm on it.

  I hope someone can help.

• vCenter Server 5.5 compatibility with vSphere 4 hypervisor

  I recently installed vCenter Server 5.5.0.5201 (with a Standard license valid vCenter) and I am trying to add the hosts to vCenter data center. I can connect successfully to the host but vSphere displays the following error:

  "The host is licensed with vSphere 4 hypervisor. The license of vCenter Server edition doesn't support vSphere 4 hypervisor. »

  Now I found the slot compatibility matrix and there clearly shows that vCenter 5.5 is compatible with all the way back to version 4 for ESXi. I must be missing something, can someone please clarify the question.

  

  I know that vSphere hypervisor and ESXi Server is essentially the same but vSphere hypervisor is the free version, so is there a difference that I know?

  This happens because you are using a free license on the ESXi 4.1 key.

  "The host is licensed with vSphere 4 hypervisor" means that it is a free ESXi. You will not be able to manage the free ESXi with vCenter.

• Problem with the plugin ActiveDirectory

  I have a problem with the plugin active directory that it does not show the OUs under a spesific UO (I guess that's because there are too many objects in this spesific UO and for some reason any, limit the amount of objects, it can show).

  To work around the problem I wanted to use the Active Directory script class and use the search method, but I can just find a way to create this object to use the reproductives I guess that I do not understand something in the API.

  Read this it looks like it could be typo...

  Please share your script, or search for mistyped as ActiveDirectory.Search ().
