Persisting across Invocations MIDlet RMS?

Work on part 4 of 3 homework, I find that the data store of RMS 'gps - data', create us is only persisted for as long as the RecordMidlet is alive.  If I run RecordMidlet to store the GPS records in the data store 'gps - data', then run ReaderMidet subsequently, he fails to find "gps - data".  However, if I put a long sleep() after RecordMidlet writes its data (effectively preventing downtime), then run ReaderMidlet at the same time, the RecordStore 'gps - data' are now.

Am I missing something?

Hi guys -.

You can in NetBeans. Right-click on the emeddedexternaldevice1 and select run via OTA.

  • How to make shift register init happens only once, so that the data can persist across multiple tracks of a loop?

    Here's the situation:

We are repeatedly followed eight real-world signals and comparing them to a threshold value.  We do this via a loop For inside a While loop.  The loop For runs eight times per pass.  We have implemented a binary table 1 d and the use of the index of the loop For as the array index, by putting a Boolean result in the table using the function replace table subset.  We want to keep the data in the table to be 'sticky', in the sense that any True value is locked, so even if a fake comes later, this array element true.  However, since we initialize the array in order for the replacement to the work table, we see that whenever the loop For again, it resets the table and destroys the history.

I have attached a simple VI to illustrate the concept, using a random number generator as a stand-in for the real world signals.  How we change this VI do and entered real lock through multiples for loop runs, indefinitely?

In case it is not obvious, I am a relative beginner, so please keep count in your response.

    Thank you

For B, although I love the simplicity of it, I have a question: it solves the problem of the re-initialization?  What the shift of the While loop register get initialized - only once during its launch?

Yep, the shift register Initializes only at the beginning.  You could say that every time the while loop is called (not each iteration) the shift register is reset with the wrong table.

And, Yes, GOLD will always keep a REAL when it is TRUE.

Usually, the simplest solution is the best.

  • How to keep a bit of values between calls to managers of menus?

    Hello

I display a dialog box when you click a custom LrLibraryMenuItem.

    LrLibraryMenuItems = {}

    title = "My Dialog",

    file = "MyDialog.lua"

    },

I don't want it be lost values when I close this dialog box. I can't register through LrPrefs because these values are usually a LrTasks or a LrProgressScope.

Maybe there's a global scope, I can use all my plugin?

Thanks for your help once again

Yes, the global scope of your plugin persists through the invocations of the plugin (until LR leaves).  So if your code refers to the variable 'x', and that x is not declared in this scope as a parameter of function or with 'local', then 'x' is in the global scope and its value is preserved across invocations of the plugin.

If you use "strict" to detect undeclared uses of globals and you want the value of 'x' overall to persist through the plugin calls, you can do something like that at the top of the file "declare" x:

    x = rawget (_G, 'x') is nil and 1 or rawget (_G, 'x')

The first time the file is loaded, the global 'x' is assigned to 1; on subsequent loads, the current value of 'x' is left intact.

  • How to connect strings stored in global values of Station or PreUUT?

    Hi all

I have a Global Station which is persistent across all DUT in a particular PC. I also created a dialog box custom PreUUT to get user input that applies to the UUT to come (I pass this user input to WEAR it by storing it in a Global file). The Global file and overall Station store a string.

What is a good way to connect to these channels in the ATML report and SQL database?

Currently, the best solution I can think is:

    1. Create a LabVIEW VI that takes a string as input and passes directly through to the output

    2. Pass the Global Station (or Global file) in the VI of entry

    3. Assign the output VI to Step.Result.ReportText

This seems rather bulky. Is there a simpler way to achieve this? (i.e. is there a built-in TestStand action that saves a variable directly in the report?)

In which case it is important, I use TestStand 2013 SP1 and I use the default report templates: tr5_horizontal.xsl for ATML and C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\TestStand 2013\Components\Models\TestStandModels\Database\SQL Server create generic Recordset result Tables.sql for SQL.

    Thank you!

    JKSH,

You can handle this with the functionality of additional results in TestStand, which can be configured in the settings for an existing step, or as a stand-alone step type. We have an example in the series TestStand fundamental example here: http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/52354/en/#toc3 (search for "Adding Custom Data to a Report" article 3)

  • Ghost car blocks disk access USB external?

I have a WD MyBook drive on an external USB connection. No particular reason, I can relate, he arrested recognized by my system Win7. He has worked before, but now, instead of him in the 'Computer' window, I have a completely false Ghost with a new drive letter. All readers of my "real" work correctly, but Win7 cannot open or perform any other activity on/with the ghost. It is labeled as a 'local disk '. This drive persists across reboots and it persists or not the defective MyBook is physically connected to the computer.

Maybe these two events are not related, but I am very suspicious. I can't the MyBook reconnected? Also, how can I get rid of the ghost drive? Thanks for your ideas.

  • size of the event log

    Hello

Can someone tell me the size of the event log?

    Thank you

    yosoh

According to the JavaDocs for net.rim.device.api.system.EventLogger:

"Events are persistent across reboot. The Unit maintains a queue of the event; When the log is too full, new events push 'old' on the front of the queue. About 16 K of data can be stored until the log is too full."

  • Windows 7 "no DNS (or no network) after sleep (wake up) sleep (or Hibernate).

The purpose of this thread is to understand the expected behavior of the TCP in Windows 7 stack and the cards on the resume from sleep/hibernate - not - display the suggestions that have been posted in other threads.  I also wanted to gather some folklore on this subject in one place...

It seems to be a group of people having this problem Windows 7 "no DNS (or no network) after sleep (wake up) sleep (or Hibernate)" without definitive duty (or with various) responds to what the issue is.

Do some reading on this in various places, I see:

-Suggestions to disable UPnP.  This should be largely irrelevant to the problem.

-Reset the default router.  Generally, this should not be necessary.

-Reinstall Windows 7 (ah yes, the panacea for all ills!).

-Replace DHCP static IP address.  This should not be necessary (considered at best as a workaround).

-If it solves the problem, it points the finger at DHCP feature / state on the curriculum vitae of sleep?

-Disable the firewall.  This shouldn't be a problem (why would it).

-If it is a question, it is likely to be isolated, rather than the majority of the cases.

    -VMWare (or similar) virtual networks.

-This could be a problem for some people.  It would be useful for anyone who has a problem to confirm if they have VMWare or similar virtualization installed products (who can create virtual networks).

-Disable the TCP (TCP sliding windows) tuning car.

-It is possible that TCP auto tuning could be a problem for some people - but - unlikely, it would be a problem for people only on the recovery from sleep mode.  I think that anyone with questions about the TCP (TCP sliding windows) tuning car rather than questions on RESUME intermittent connectivity problems.

-Some people report improved performance when turn it off this feature.   Report MSFT from 10 x to x 1000 in laboratory performance. conditions.  It's one you need to test yourself to see if it helps or otherwise.

-NETSH INTERFACT TCP SET GLOBAL AUTOTUNING = OFF

-NETSH INTERFACT TCP SET GLOBAL AUTOTUNING = NORMAL

-It works on XP but not on Windows 7?

-It is fairly widely commented that the TCP stack has been re-written/improved thanks to Vista and Windows 7.  It is not surprising, therefore that problems on Windows 7 that do not exist on Windows XP.  This does not necessarily imply that the Windows 7 stck is bug, just as not all software and peripheral food chain TCP are speaking the language of same/current (in the absence of a better technical description).

-One wonders, therefore, are only optimizations issues additional tuning and unloading that have been made in the new stack TCP?   How this confrontation with the problems that occur only in the curriculum vitae of sleep/wake extended?

-Some people recommended prevents the system from voltage of their cards during the standby/hibernation.  Does this means:

    -The card is not dynamic.

-If the card is allowed to be turned off so there will be a lag between the state saved in Windows and the State represented (none) in the card when the system is out of his sleep (or Hibernate).

-Perhaps, it's something that needs to be addressed in the functions of battery/sleep TCP in Windows 7 - How to handle/recover the situation when the NETWORK adapter is turned off?

-If we put the system to sleep, we want to have power supplied to the maps or not (what are the implications)?

-People have the same problem for the hibernation?

-If there is a problem of State related to the cards, would be - why, in some cases of people solve the problem by disabling optimizations that involve some treatment being given cards instead of being carried out using the processors.  If it was kept in the processors, we have consistent state on the resume (as opposed to cards)?

I think what I understand of MSFT is here:

-What is the behavior designed in the stack revised to ensure a consistent state between the adapter, battery, previously obtained DNS, DHCP settings, etc., the curriculum vitae of sleep/wake extended.

-Unlikely connections persist across sleep/hibernation - so are they remind/re-restored?

-Windows 7 has more work to properly manage this for cards that - are - power off during sleep?

-Is - it a requirement of MSFT at this time for an own CV, the card must stay lit?

An exchange of views on how this is supposed to work for MSFT would be useful.  Then perhaps hundreds if not thousands of people facing this issue can understand why it happens and how they can solve.

Thank you for spending time and energy on it. I had a frustrating to deal with this problem, but - finally, disable virtual network cards seems to have helped.

  • Persistence of the PersistentStore

I'm developing an app for BlackBerry to keep track of certain information even when the power is off.  I was planning on using a PersistentObject but I wanted to know if there is a way for the user to remove items from the PersistentStore.  I thought to remove the battery could remove everything in the PersistentStore but I couldn't find anything in the documentation on the subject.

From my experience the PersistentStore remains through the device resets, removing the battery, etc..

Also of the API doc: "the persistent store provides a way for objects to persist across device resets."

  • LUN in VmWare vCenter 6.0

    Hi all

I use vmware vcenter 6.0. I'm trying to discover LUNS seen by the host ESX using VmWare CLI power.

I see that some LUNS are returned in form:

    NAA.600a09804d5345626124467a3349316f

    NAA.5000c500174cc4ff

    NAA.600a09804d5345626124467a33493170

    While some are:

    MPX.vmhba32:C0:t0:l0

    MPX.vmhba32:C0:t0:l0

Why is this difference in naming? They indicate different types etc.?

Also I get null for RunTimeName these LUNs. Why is this?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    sinhaa

    Hello

NAA.xxxxxxxx is an investigation of SCSI ID and mpx.vmhba is a path-based identification.

Essentially, it's ESXi assignment of unique identifiers for storage devices, mpx.vmhba is usually a local device and naa.xxxx is a shared storage, naa.xxxxx ID is unique and persistent across all your hosts in order to ensure the coherence of the cluster for any host you query the naa.xxxxxx that id should always refer to the same device.  Mpx.vmhba IDS are local and therefore supposed to be unique for each host.

As far as I know that the runtime name represents the name of the first path to a device, could be useful to check your paths to your devices.  What commands PowerCLI do you use?  Might help understand why you see null values.

    Hope that helps

  • How to get you to multiple pictures at once in Flash?

I want to draw something to about 10 images, but I don't want to have to draw on all of them or to copy and paste because it forces to not be aligned with the drawing in the previous image. I watched it, but I can't seem to find someone the same question. I tried to use editing multiple frames tool, but it does not work for the things (perhaps a user error), but works for staggering things as it is supposed to be drawing. Does anyone know how to draw multiple images at the same time if this is possible?

You can copy the contents of a layer and paste in place another layer but you will have to do so at each new keyframe. The dough persist across keyframes.

  • Why the data in my database disappears when I restart Tomcat?

I have a DPL Berkeley DB database that I use for a Web application that is running under Tomcat. I can store data in the database and get it back, but when I restart Tomcat and the data have gone. In my view, that the problem is that the data is in memory, it is never written to disk, so it is not persistent across reboots. I think that this, because when I write the data to the database, the size of the files in the data files does not change.

My database is not transactional, nor in writeback mode.

What else could cause this problem? I'm completely stumped.

If the environment/store is not transactional (you do not call setTransactional (true)), then the data can be sustainable only equal to 1) you call Environment.sync, 2) a control point is executed by the thread of checkpointer I background or your application, 3) you close the environment itself, that will make a control point.

I suspect that you do not close the environment when you shut down your server.

You can take a look at the writing transactional Applications. He described the durability more in detail.

    Concerning

  • Logical persistent RMS - etc. storage.

I need to set up a high score list for my game. It seems that RMS is the way forward - persistent, but no signature not required, I understand a position elsewhere.

I implemented the code example for a large list of scores and checked the data is persisted, using the Simulator output and debug. I changed the sort order of output, by exchanging the positions of PRECEDES and FOLLOWS, in return for the method lines compares.

Looks like I'm to use the class RecordStore to press the code example. I would like to...

    (1) use the getNumRecords() to find out how they are.

    (2) If this number is lower than in, say, 10, add the new partition. or...

    (3) if that number is 10 or more, make sure that the records are sorted in the correct order (ah, what is happening automatically, because the comparison code is always executed in the class, this "Java path" is cool, but foreigners) go then, in that order (they are in this order, no matter what else I can do, I think) and find the record 10. Save the record ID for possible use.

    (4) if the new partition is more than a score of 10, add the new partition. Just use the example addScore method - well, because it seems a bit complex.

    (5) if there were 10 scores, and I added another, I would remove the lowest and retain the record size limited to 10. Since I was the record ID from step 3, I can use deleteRecord on it.

As I read this, it seems doable. Not the PC right now, try it. I'm missing or misunderstood anything?

I got the deleteRecord work. He was wrong to try to do when you work with an enumerated list. While the closure of the enumerated list to check if a new partition should be added, if I find that a new record would total more than 10, I save the last record in global int ID, deleteThis.

Then, in the addScore method, if I find that there is a value in deleteThis, I use deleteRecord to get rid of him. So... should never be a case where there are multiple records to remove.

  • Use of rms in an App CLDC?

I'm working on an application for which I am considering using the javax.microedition.rms for persistent storage components.

    Details;

    -OS 4.6

-configured as a CLDC application rather a MIDlet

    -Eclipse JDE component pack 4.6.0.16

Is there something in the chain of Eclipse or OS runtime environment tools that prevent using rms in an app CLDC?

    Thanks in advance!

You can use the recordstore RMS in a BlackBerry CLDC application.  For most, J2ME and RIM API can be mixed between MIDlets and CLDC of BlackBerry applications.  The meanings are only base (user interface) Application and MIDlet classes and user interface classes.
