• After the upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop, my personal ringtones to contact were lost.

  Dear all:

  I update my Z2 Xperia to Android Lollipop two weeks ago, then I discovered that my personal ringtones of contact were waste.

  (Before upgrading it works well. I put these mp3 music in my SD card).

  When I check the rings defining the file and mp3 have been shown good information on the list,

  but when I get the phone call Z2 still play the default ringtones.

  I have reset the factory default value, but still no change and I also create a file called "ringtones" in my SD card, then put these inside music files, but still does not.

  I found out when I put the music file in the internal storage space, ringtones worked.

  My questions is there any way I can put my personal contact ringtones, if my music files are locate in my SD card?

• After 9.3.5 ringtone problem

  Hi all

  My personal ringtones assigned to contacts are default xylophone after the last update.  They are always present and checked, but the phone only rings on the xylophone.  If anyone has experienced this?  Or knows how to solve?

  If I understand correctly, you have a problem affecting the ringtones and make them work properly.  I'd be happy to try to help you with this.

  The first thing we want to do is to make sure that you have a current backup of everything on your iPhone. Nothing that I will propose should result in no data loss, but it's always a good idea to have a backup.   If you follow this link, you will find instructions on how to make a backup: How to back up your device using iCloud or iTunes.

  It is possible that something is damaged and that the origin of the problem.  Once the backup is complete, I would say to reset all settings.

  Reset preference files resets all parameters that may be problems. This step will not delete your contacts, photos or personal information. It deletes all your preferences for Wi - Fi, Bluetooth, do not disturb, Notifications, general, sounds, brightness & wallpaper and privacy and removes your Touch ID & password.

  Do you this by clicking on settings > general > reset > reset all settings.

  Once this step is completed, re - assign ringtones and test to see if they now work correctly.

  Topic is pretty self-explanatory. I wish I could use the ringtones I already have on my sd card or pc and hope for a simple set of instructions before I go mucking on my CLIQ on mine.

  It's easy.

  Find the song you want to use as ringtone - look in the music in your widgets menu.

  Press and hold the song and a menu will appear. Select "Use as ringtone."

  You can do this with several pieces and they will appear in your list of ringtones. You can then set personal ringtones, etc.

  If you try to add your personal ringtones and notifications, then they can be added to a folder called "Notifications" or "Ringtones" in each case that you create in the base directory available to you when your phone is connected to your computer.

  These files may also be located in the 'Music' folder too to make it work.

  Just had heavy PRIV top of page a few days ago and I'm trying to not to regret the purchase. I need help.

  For the life of me I can't find where to add a personalized ringtone or sound notification to my list of contacts other than the few that are already on the PRIVATE list. NO, don't tell me choose only those cables the list provided.

  On other Blackberry phones that I can download a sound or a song. I can't find the option for this on the PRIVATE if it is not that I'm back there. OVerpirced piece of fancy S * & %. I am beyond frustrated.

  It is very easy to set custom ringtones for each contact you want... also add any sound as a ringtone.

  Install a file manager (I use ARE), copy any wav, ogg, mp3 audio file etc to/0/ringtones
  These will be immediately available.

  in your contacts list to change any contact (pencil top right corner), then hit up 3 points to the right and "set the tone".

  I am a newbie (had my bb for Christmas) and my experience so far has not been very pleasant. I've assigned personal ringtones.  Initially, they worked very often for some people, and now they don't work for everyone.  I had to have the phone wiped out this past Wednesday and I have everything set up again through the profiles, exceptions etc and now NONE of them work.  I don't even know who's calling me, because the names don't pop either... just the number with the default ringtone.  I tried EVERYTHING I read and nothing works.  I just a phone of shit or what?

  any help, suggestions, etc. is GREATLY appreciated, I'm at my wits end.

  OK, I went through all new and found the uscellular implemented video and re did everything new.  My father called me and it worked.  I called myself the phone of my mom and my home phone and they worked.  so unless he starts to act up again, I'm going to consider this problem solved... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

  I have installed my software on my curve. And now my personal ringtones that I bought and downloaded do not sound as sings it is. The names of the song ringtone is there, but it sounds like pre-installed ringtones? Who is?

  With my old "BOLD" of BB, I got my phone mode vibrations for messages and calls when in the Holster. When out of the Holster, I got the phone ring with my personal ringtones while everything vibrated.

  I can't understand how to do the same thing with my new 9900 curve.

  2 BB Messenger - I know that I can customize the alert for BB Msg alerts but why not and if so HOW do I set it so that my contacts Msgr. BB that I put in place alerts personalized for them use an alert? IE;

  My daughter downloaded the ringtone - "I held her first" when she calls him again, he USED to play when she sent a txt, now that we have put in place Mgr of BB, I get the standard BB Msgr. alert instead. I get that for anyone. We have 5 in terms of our family and we all have a BB. We can customize the BB Msgr. alert so that we know we send the msg?

  In my research, I found my answer.

  I must have the Enterprise edition and or service and Outlook Exchange in order to have access to e-mail, I was looking for.

  OR

  Use Gmail and have everything available on this server or an IMAP account and go through the Web. It is not possible with the two above products. The BB is not designed to do what I thought it was.

  As for Question #2

  The BB Messenger those on my list of BB will connect to those contacts, that it will NOT however use the same personal ringtone that I set up for that specific messages. It is simply not possible.

  I have an annoying problem with my Skype:

  The volume of the other person is perfectly fine, but the volume of the sounds for calls is simply too high. As hurt my ears too high.

  Not as far as I know. I, for the same reason, about 40% the value of the Volume of Skype and I see no effect on the volume of calls. Only the ringtone and notification sounds are affected.

  Just got an iPhone 6 less than 3 weeks ago and noticed last week that from time to time when someone calls me, shortly after the bell rings it immediately turns into a high-pitched hum, in depth. Its scary to be sure. However, when I answered the phone, I noticed that I can't hear the other person on the line, and I'm not sure they can hear me.   First thing I want to ask is if anyone else might have changed the ringtone on your phone? Try using a different ringtone. You can change in the settings app

  Settings > sounds > ringtones

  Select a different ringtone and test.

  The next thing to try is a reset of your iPhone. Press and hold the Home button and the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the appliance restarts. You lose no data by doing this. It's like a restart of the computer.

  If the shrill ringing back and that you have tried different ringtones and done the reset make an appointment at an Apple to have store a technician look at your device. Or contact the Apple Support.

  I don't see how to do it and I don't think it makes sense to add a ringtone to the Contacts in El Capitan.

  On your iPhone you can probably do it. It would be wise to do so here.
