Perspective of Windows Mail. How?

I want to spend WindowsMail to Outlook. Is it easy to do, and how do I save my exisiting messages and contacts?

First install Outlook 2003 or newer.

In Windows Mail...
File - export - Messages
Select the Microsoft Exchange format
Select the folders to export

File - export - Windows Contacts - CSV

The messages must be in
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst

In Outlook, you can open this .pst
Then import the contacts from the. CSV file if necessary (I don't know if the)
contacts copied to the .pst file)

Add your e-mail account information in Outlook.
Delete WM account information.

On behalf of email configuration, you don't "make things upward. All information must be accurate and approved by your ISP.
You must as a result of your Internet Service Provider (ISP)...
    Your user name
    Your E-mail address
    Your password
    Name of the incoming server
The name of the outgoing server

After graduating from those, ask if the person can help you set up the email account. Once I got a new ISP and I also need help to connect to the wireless connection. I gave permission to access my computer remotely, and the person has had enough to set everything to me.
If this is not possible, ask if there is a site that can teach you how to set up the account.

Open Windows Mail > click Contacts > on this Contacts window, right-click on an open space inside the window > click Customize this folder > under what kind of folder do you want? Click the pointer on the far right (there is only a single pointer here), click Contacts > OK

Now look, you will see new Contact button group.

  • Windows mail - how to remove the attachments, but keep the body of the text

I use Windows Mail. I get e-mails with attachments that I want to throw, but keep the body of the email. Tried several options, but nothing seems to work. I have seen a few posts here and advise to send the email to yourself and all that. Is there a better way to do it?

I've seen some ads for exractor tools... Are they any good at all? And all those cheap that anyone knows? Thank you!

My OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/) has a function that will remove attachments (and save them if you want) messages with a click of a single button that is much faster than to try to do it manually.  It has a number of other features as well.  It also works well on XP in Vista (32 bit only) for Windows Mail and OE.

  • 8.1 Windows Mail - how to remove primary account (hotmail)

    Hello

I recently changed my email from hotmail.com to outlook.com.  I do the change now to go all outlook as an address... I updated my login details to go with outlook.com by logging in on - going to a local account and then adding the outlook.com account.

I have problems with the mail app however, I would like to get rid of the hotmail but it is said that it is a main account and I would need to go into account settings.

Question: How can I get rid of the old address of hotmail still listed in the mail application, and add the new address to outlook... I can send from outlook (by alias) and he picks up the mail but it still lists hotmail.

    Hi Aindriu,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

I understand that you have parameters to change the name of the alias as instead of Hotmail.com Outlook.com in the messaging application.

To work around this problem on this issue, I suggest you follow the steps below in the Microsoft support article.

Messaging app for windows in the section; Remove an account
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/remove-account

If the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the mail application.

Hope that it can solve the problem. Please answer us with the State of the question.

    Thank you.

  • Printing of Emails. My printer is not printing my entire email.__It all things will print in internet explorer, but not from windows mail how can I fix the problem?

    Hi goodmema13,

    (1) did you check with other applications if printing is displayed as expected?

    (2) how exactly you want to print?

Problem could be linked to the layout and settings; You can follow the steps mentioned below:

    (a) open your Email in a new window

    (b) if the images are cut off the coast, click on "File-> Print Preview", and in the toolbar, set "scale:" to "Shrink to fit", if a different setting is displayed.

    (c) if the part of the text is cut off, try setting "scale:" 100% in print preview mode.

    (d) in addition, make sure that it is set to the right paper size.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • How to remove "Windows Mail"

I have a Toshiba laptop and "Windows Live Mail" and "Windows Mail", how do I remove "Windows Mail" from my computer.

I've been in the program Install & Remove Control Panel, but can not find all titles with "Windows Mail" to remove. ?

    Rick

    Hello RichardShiel,

Windows mail is installed with the Windows Vista operating system, and therefore cannot be uninstalled. Surprisingly enough, it cannot even be disabled via the Windows features turn on or off the option programs and features.

However, if you have the version of Vista Ultimate (Please note that I edited this post like initially, I said Pro and Ultimate; it was incorrect, my apologies) you should be able to disable through Group Policy.

    1. press on the Windows and R key to bring up the menu run.

    2. in the Run menu type: gpedit.msc

    3. If you do not have gpedit on your version of Vista, you receive an error message. If you have gpedit on your machine to the Group Policy Editor is now displayed.

    4. once the Group Policy Editor is open look in the left pane and click the option for the Computer Configuration. A list will now be expanded.

    5. then add to the list under administrative templates.

6 look down this list and develop, the Windows components option.

    7. look in the right pane and scroll down until you come to Windows Mail.

    8. double-click on that.

    9. you should now see two options. (a) turn off the function of communities and the b) disable the Windows Mail application.

    10. double-click on the option turn off Windows Mail to open the Properties window.

    11. in the Properties window, click the active radio button, and then click the OK button.

12 Finally exit the properties and the Group Policy Editor.

    13. the next time you start your machine that Windows Mail should be disabled.

As I said this should work if you have the Group Policy Editor.

  • Windows 8 Mail - how to move e-mail

I have the windows mail application. When I try to move an email to a different folder in the Inbox, I have a folder of Dungeon. But when I try to move the screen becomes all white. It only works if I am online as in the Explorer. I'm doing something wrong.

    Hi puffer21,

Not sure that I have understood that the title and the beginning of your post talk about calendar, but then you talk to move emails from one folder to another...

Assuming that you actually meant email - and not Calendar - here's how it works when it comes to move an e-mail to another folder:

    • An email in the Inbox folder
    • Right-click on the title and select move in the lower bar
This is where the screen turns white
    • Click the destination folder - where you want the e-mail to be moved

Hope this helps at & answers your question. If this is the case can I ask you to change the title of your message to something like "8 Windows Mail - how to move send?" so it can be reused by someone else. Thanks in advance.

    See you soon
