Phone goes into silent mode automatically

My Moto X goes into silent mode automatically when I get a call. and the rest in this mode until I have to manually increase the volume. I have not modified parameters or installed any new apps out later. How can I solve this problem? I'm on the vodafone network.

Thank you

Are you going to try from your phone in safe mode and test this it? If this does not happen in safe mode it is most likely caused by a 3rd party app. First things first and this test in safe mode. I hope this helps.

  • Vista goes into sleep mode automatically just after the restart

The following problem was irregular. Sometimes, other times not. I'm totally frustrated as to why it is happening and I would like to solve this problem, now and forever.

Yes, first facts: I have an Asus G71Gx laptop game with Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 M. 6 GB of memory, Windows Vista 64-bit. Do not think that other information is necessary, unless I'm mistaken.

The problem: well, just after the start/start my laptop goes into sleep mode. As in, Windows starts fine and I see my desktop with all the shortcut icons and the background, and then all of a sudden the screen goes black (with two Dim lights blue on the screen - fellow Asus G71Gx users will know it), and the power led button flashes slowly in and out, as if it was in sleep/hibernation. The led light cover mode monitor "sleep". I did the whole "all never put under power options. I've updated my Nvidia graphic drivers for later. I even disabled Hibernate in the command prompt. Seriously, I have above average PC knowledge. But it has trampled me... everything short.

Sometimes, I have to go through this cycle up to 9 or 10 times and then stops. Other days there is no question. But I still have to reboot just to be safe and to avoid the game stutter (another question that I don't know what it is, since I was the latest GPU drivers). But I can live with that.

It cannot be an overheating GPU. I mean, it's at the start and at the present time, it is cold enough to have this piece as a cooler for the GPU! Haha.

I thought about possible power supply problems. But how to test it? The laptop doesn't have it, the first week I got it. I use an adapter to put the American card in European decision-making.

It is the ONLY major problem I have with this laptop. Sleep at startup. The other two, being game stutter if I don't restart my laptop and double tapping (seems to be an Asus problem according to the forums), are quite minor and I can live with that.

Any help with this would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm VERY tempted to get windows 7 and do a clean install, but Vista was not really giving me any problems. But if I know that this issue is associated with Vista, then I say Bravo to Vista...

Edit: Apologies for writing this thread Windows 7 and explore the internet forum. Don't know how it happened! Well I'm leaving here now, and hopefully this will get sorted.

After 2 replacements of mobo that apparently caused this same prob, what finally fixed for me has been updated the chipset drivers.

  • Computer goes into sleep mode automatically

Original title: waking up from sleep

Hi, I have windows 8, I have a question that has not already happened in win 7

Then, when I put my computer on standby covering the screen down. And when I wake up, I had to press or on the keyboard, the Start button / stop or mouse button. the computer turns on itself. so for about 4 seconds it shuts itself again. the second time by the press of the keyboard and etc will not turn the computer off again.
There is a small problem, but its getting really boring, time on the computer turns off by itself again is like 10 seconds of frustration, and I turn it back on, it's just really annoying after months. I thought that I have will get used to it, but nope.

    Hi Ianlei,

We are happy to know that you have solved the problem.

Please let us know if you need any other assistance on problems with Windows.

  • Watch going in silent mode on its own

Sometimes--not always, but often enough to be annoying - my Apple Watch goes into silent mode "on its own initiative.  I have NOT used the application settings or wink to do this, my iPhone is NOT cut, so it's a bit mysterious.

    Hi Doug

You probably accidentally placed your watch in silent Mode using the cover for the Mute function.

Cover for Mute is a feature that automatically places your watch in silent Mode if the display is covered for 3 seconds immediately after receiving a notification alert (for example, for a text message). When the quiet Mode is enabled in this way, haptic feedback is provided as confirmation. The mode must be disabled manually in order to reactivate the sound alerts.

To turn off the Mute function coverage:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: Watch My > sounds & Haptics > turn it off coverage on mute.

The system remains upward after the stabilization of the system going on in SafeMode after cold start, close and then switch to normal mode. However, once launched, it seem (ed) as the hard drive light was permanently. I did a restore to June 8, most early I could continue.  The hard drive worked without interruption after that.  I did a forced sleep and restart and the system froze again. With this in mind, I wonder if .NET patches that were released were running somehow at the time of sleep and that he could not recover.  OR, during sleep, the system was made of updates and the system has been disabled, corrupting the updates.  I looked at the Windows Update settings and it has been set to automatically install updates.  It is quite possible that the user did not know and did not recognize there are pending updates.  Maybe updates were not correctly packed in order to manage a system from going into Sleep Mode, while they were installing. In any case, any who would provide help on how to identify the problem and fix it.  There may be registry entries need to be corrected?

Microsoft support has provided a solution.  Here is the procedure:

We can run reset Windows Update Tool and system update tool to detect incorrect manifests, files or data from the registry. Please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Launch the tool to reset Windows Update and the update of the system tool
    ====================================
1 download and run reset Windows Update Tool from the link below:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/?linkid=9665683

2 download and run the update tool of the system from the link below depending on the Type of system:

Note: It may take an hour or more time to detect and replace the erroneous data, please be patient. When it is finished, restart the computer and reinstall Windows Vista SP2.

If Windows Vista SP2 can not always be installed, I suggest to download the stand-alone Installer and install it in clean boot Mode.

Step 2: Download the installer of Windows Vista SP2 Standalone
    ===========================================
1 download the installer of Windows Vista SP2 Standalone from the link below depending on the Type of system:

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 - version independent ALL languages for Windows Vista 32 bit (KB948465) (475,5 MB)
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=891ab806-2431-4D00-afa3-99ff6f22448d&displaylang=en

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 - version independent ALL languages for Windows Vista 64 bit (KB948465) (745,2 MB)
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=8ad69826-03d4-488C-8f26-074800c55bc3&displaylang=en

Step 3: Install Windows Vista SP2 in clean boot Mode
    =========================================
Please disable all startup items and services of third parties at boot to avoid conflict when installing Windows Vista SP2.

    1. click on 'Start', type: MSCONFIG in the search box and press ENTER.

Note: Click 'Continue' if the "User Account Control" window appears.

    2. click on 'Services', check "Hide all Microsoft Services" and click on 'Disable All' (if it's not gray).
    3. click on 'Start', click 'Disable all', click 'OK' and restart the computer.

Note: Disable temporarily the startup group only prevents the start up programs from loading at startup. This should not affect the system or other programs. We can manually run these programs later.

    4. double-click the downloaded standalone installer and follow the instructions to install Windows Vista SP2.

To restore the computer to a Normal startup, repeat step 1 above. Then click "Normal startup" in the general tab, click on "OK" and restart the computer.

If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to let me know. It is my pleasure to be useful.

The cause was not determined, but evidence tends to a disturbance in the download or installation process, with one of the errors in the event log is an error in checksum on one of the modules. With a large file, 745 meg, the mean time to failure on a LAN network is probably shorter than the download time.  The installation process was probably longer than the time that the system has increased...  Corrective actions for Microsoft could include more small download / install, not allowing an automatic installation for automatic download over a certain size, or deal with the best controls during installation to intercept the checksum error.  Duane G. • my notebook, ProBook 450 G2 go goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never.

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  • Satellite L50-B-1HU randomly goes into sleep mode

Randomly, my laptop (Satellite L50-B-1HU) goes into sleep mode.
It happened at least 10 times in the last two weeks.

Once by chance, he goes to sleep he requires the power button to turn, but the power button should be 1 to 3 times, as it can to sleep just after pressing the power button.

Its happen even if the pad is in use. In windows power options, I turned also to disable the mode 'sleep'.

The laptop itself has been used for two weeks (which has passed since the first use)

    Any advice?
    Thank you

Like Notepad running in the power of the battery or also using the power adapter plugged?
From my point of view of a few notebook could enter the mode "sleep" due to low battery.

Also some 3rd party application preinstalled on the laptop could set the camera in mode "Eve".
Guess what: try to start the laptop is safe mode and let it run for a longer period of time. It would be interesting to know if the laptop would be access to the sleep mode using safe mode.

You can also use the command "powercfg. Windows 8 PowerCfg has a useful switch called - energy.
This technique is valuable to solve sleep problems.
Start the console with the command: cmd.
    In the console type: powercfg-ENERGY

Now it takes 60 seconds and will create an HTML file that you can open in your web browser to get the full report of energy. Now quite sure if the information could be useful, but it might be interesting what details this report would provide.

Thank you!

    Hi @JNBLanocha

My stomach says mt that perhaps you have the printer USB cable connected to a USB 3.0 port on your computer instead of a 2.0 port. The image below is some examples of 3.0 ports.

3.0 ports are supposed to be backwards compatible, but I've seen questions arise.

    I wonder if the cable you are using is the computer and causing problems pulling power. All I can do at this stage is to assume and to gather information. Please post back with the answers to the following questions;

    1. You have a USB connection
    2. If the USB is connected, you use a 2.0 port or 3.0?
    3. Again, if you use a USB connection type, have you tried another USB cable? It could be a cable problem.
    4. You put XP or you remove XP and install Windows 7?
    5. You have your printer connected directly to a power outlet, or you are using a power strip/bar, or a surge protector?
    6. Now this may sound silly, but you have a timer on your computer, such as the hibernate after so many minutes and maybe the computer and the printer are set at the same, it is possible the moment closures / sleep coincide.

I look forward to hear from you and to work towards a solution.

  • What would happen if the computer goes into hibernation mode, but there is no free space on hard drive?

What would happen if the computer goes into hibernation mode, but there is no free space on hard drive?

No doubt a failure to the hibernation or a nasty system crash - not sure and not willing to risk a stable system there.  :-)

  • My printer interrupts communication with my PC when the P.C. goes into Standby Mode. Why?

Until yesterday, the printer worked fine.  There is no cable or hardware change any.  I am running Windows XP with a jet of Lexmark color printer.

When I restart the printer works fine.  However when the order goes into standby or hibernation mode, I can print is no longer when the box comes back active.  I get a message that "there is a communication error with the printer.  To correct this problem, a box appears I should go to start/settings/printer and make sure the "Enable bidirectional support" box is checked.  Unfortunately, I can't access the settings of the printer directly from the start menu.

However, if I click on 'Options' that is displayed when the printer stops and I click "Troubleshooting", I don't see that the "enable bidirectional printer media" is more verified.  If I check, I get a message saying "printer is busy".  If I click on start again I get the same message and the "enable" box is unchecked.  If I hit Cancel, the box is also disabled.  I enter a loop that does not end.

Any ideas how I can access the printer directly from the start menu settings?  Or how to prevent the impression of no longer communicate with my PC when it goes into sleep mode?

Thank you much, long in advance for any suggestions you may have.

It is a Lexmark Z-52.  After 8 hours of trying many different, including the link ideas that you suggested, I have determined that as a result of some recent Microsoft Download, the printer would work only if I used the Dell printing device incorporated in the installation software.  If I tried to install the Lexmark printer from the installation disc, I got the persistent problem.  I deleted all but access to the printer through the installed also origin and everything of fine.

When I need to change the cartridges and align the jets, I install the Lexmark program, align the print cartridges and then remove the program Lexmark, using the default value of Dell for the printer remaining.

It works, but why I had a problem, I don't know.

    TNX for the comments!

When my computer goes into sleep mode, I have to press the power button to turn it back on.  I used only having to press a key on the keyboard.

Can someone tell me how to solve this problem, as if it was before?

Well, on the theory that your computer is awkward, try to change the settings to another thing and OK your way out the control panel.  Then go back and put them in the way they were and OK your way out.  Occasionally, it will reset the internal parameters and things can return to normal.

    Hi BSRC$, in stock

    1. You have security software installed on the computer?
    2. You receive an error message when you restart the computer?

Reinstalling Windows XP to the factory setting would not be the first option.

It is possible that some third-party programs or the services installed on the computer interfere with the installation of service pack 3.

I suggest that you try to uninstall service pack 3 from the computer by using the recovery console and subsequently ask the article below for what to do before installing the service pack 3on the computer.
