  Hi - I turned on my BB Storm 9530 (w/.75 update installed over a week ago) today, and when the emails / calls started coming, I learned to my dismay that ALL on my Storm now default to the same note played three times, looks like someone typing press the same piano three times.  I go to my sounds to edit and my phone and various emails have different ringtones listed, but when I click "Try It" on the edit page for ringtone, all I hear is the same monotonous notes 3 regardless of the ringtone is selected.  I tried selecting other ringtones by default (I don't have those personalized yet) and economy, but the result is the same; I can't have my phone or e-mail accounts to play unique sounds now.  What is new as of today, and the only thing 'new', I did it yesterday is finally put some music files on my Storm and asks him to warn me when I connect it to my pc, in case I want to use the mass storage mode.  I noticed that you are trying to use my pc system tray icon to release the storm after moving media files gives me a "(Busy--essayez à nouveau plus tard) while I had to stop the pc with the BB still attached."  But I tried to change the ringtones when they are disconnected, and nothing changes.  Does anyone have an idea how I can regain my ability to select & play different ringtones?  I do not see why the turn on the storage capacity of the media would cause this problem, unless I stumbled upon another bug of Storm.  Can anyone help?  I really need to know when I get a call or an email.

  Hey, thanks so much for answering.  I actually had already implemented some of the ringtones by default system for my family members and e-mail accounts, so it wasn't the problem.  They were working on Monday.  By my original post, as of yesterday, any ringtone was entered for an item, all of the pieces read all of a sudden the same monotonous alert 3-note, and no amount of attempts to change a ringtone fix it.  I managed to stop yesterday afternoon at a Verizon Wireless store.  The young woman at the counter suggested I remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, then reinsert it (a "fix" I seem to see on a lot of forum posts!).  Of course, forcing difficult starting restored power to the storm actually play different ringtones that I had associated the various names/emails.  True, I had to reset my desktop wallpaper and preferencesoot after the hard b keyboard, but nothing else was lost, and I am happy to have different ringtones works again.  Of course, I would like to know why the ringtone feature suddenly stopped working properly yesterday.  I like a lot in the storm, but it is very buggy and patches do not appear to come often or quite quickly.  We will all see over time, I guess...   I loaded a few rings on my press card.  If I go to 'My Computer' on my PC and view the contents of the map so that plugged into my computer, what ringtones are on the map.  When I pick up the phone to the PC and access the media app tones are not listed.  I can't even to them.  They are on the map, but I can't access it.  Any idea what is the problem?

  I just lived with it since DTM for Mac is out... but something is not right.  When I sync my Tour 9630 with my Mac all events go to my BB very well, but I have never associated with events notification alerts.  Seen the events on my BB is useless so I don't get alerted.

  Reminder on the BB alerts are configured correctly and must take place in or out of the Holster, but I get no sound or screen notifications.

  Ok... I found the culprit and an easy workaround.  Firstly, Desktop Manager for Mac is the problem.  If you set an event alert reminders in iCal for "Message and his" you will get the message and the Øresund on your Mac, but Desktop Manager for Mac mangles it somehow when the event is synced to the BB.  The event makes, but when the event is selected on the BB and opened, the alert is set to 'None '.

  To resolve this problem, simply change all alert event reminders in iCal on 'Message' (without sound) and using re-sync Desktop Manager now on your BB events as in iCal alert settings and their alerts now popup when it is scheduled and they audible sound.

  Come on, RIM... Mac users deserve better than this.  It took you 12 years to get us a real Desktop Manager (finally almost real), so now give him the same features that you provide in the desktop Windows Manager.  But since I know nothing to this forum never makes the hoop... you'll have to hope that they understand that on their own.

  I bought my 8330 from a person who was on Blackberry Enterprise Server.

  I wiped the phone clean several times but unable to send/receive emails.

  In fact, I don't have an icon of e-mail on my screen is optional for the BIS through the installation wizard.

  My Blackberry Curve has currently no service, and can't firure why. For the record, I'm home, and I've always had the service before. So here's what I can tell:

  * Instead of saying 'connected to T-Mobile' liike it usually does, on the front screen, it says: "failed to initialize."

  * In the State of the Service, only the voice service says "emergency".

  * In the Mobile Network Options, there my mobile network such as AT & T, but my network is T-Mobile, and I didn't AT & t at any time just by owning the phone.

  Any help? The last time something like this happened was when I forgot to pay my phone bill, butI talked to T-Mobile, and is not the problem. Thanks in advance!

  OK, so it seems that I answered my own question. I was still with my old phone SIM card, and he died. So I took one that came with my curve and has been change to T-Mobile to that one, and now it's great to be working again. Thanks for all the suggestions!

  It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.

  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.

  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.

  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.

  Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no
