  • How we prevent 90 GB of photos for iphone sync

    Hello

I don't know that I'm not the only person having this problem.

Seen taking pictures of the last 10 years, I decided to migrate to iCloud, keeping my photos in the cloud and their management through the Photos on my Mac. So far so good. Everything works as expected.

So, I have 90 GB of photos. Not much for the mac. But if I turn on iCloud Photolibrary on my iphone, it will fill up with the photos that I rarely use. Also, I can't afford a 128 GB iPhone just to travel through the photos that I rarely use.

If I DON'T turn on iCloud PhotoLibrary, I have no access to my photo library (it's kind of obvious of course), but every picture I take live and die on the iPhone (and in the Gallery of photos for 30 days) and the only way to synchronize them with the mac is to attach a cable to the phone. Really? During 2016? Where everything is cloud?

Is there a better solution than this all or nothing? For example, store only a thumbnail of each photo on the phone, then the phone will automatically download them on a per-photo basis when you access?

I mean, imagine that you have a 16Gb iPhone. You won't be able to use it with the iCloud except if you only take af a few photos and almost no videos.

Thanks for any idea about that

With iCloud library enabled, you cannot delete a photo on a device (or iCloud.com) without deleting each device which uses iCloud photo library (iCloud.com). In order to save space on your mobile devices (and indeed your Mac if you want to) turn on the optimization of the pictures on these devices (settings > photos & camera > optimize storage on your mobile device and Photo preferences > optimize storage on your Mac)

Dynamic optimization, it reduces the resolution of your photos, if necessary, so that you don't notice it occurring initially. However, when necessary, it is very effective, and users have reported libraries being optimized for much less than 10% of their original size in some cases. My own library is about 9% of its original on my phone size.

In most cases, optimize your photos should be enough to raise the space related issues on your device. However, if you have an exceptionally large library you may need to disable iCloud photo library on your mobile device and use instead the photo stream. You can then use a computer to manage the photo stream photos and have them automatically imported into you iCloud photo library.

  • copy an album of photos 'photos' for iphone (4 photos)

Hello, I used to use iPhoto to specify an album in iPhoto that I want to appear on my iPod.  Now I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 6, but iPhoto is now Photos. How can I get a photo album on my Macbook pictures appear on my iPhone.  I don't want to copy the whole photo, just a few pictures library.  Sorry to bother you here, but I searched in vain a previous debate at this point.  Also, I tried implementing iCloud, but it seems that the Photo has is no longer a simple function like iPhoto album sharing, regardless of iCloud or not iCloud.  (Also, I have trouble with wi - fi because of the limitations of my particular ISP so that cable would be preferable).  Thank you!

  • How can I prevent the download of the iCloud for iPhone photo library

I bought my wife a new iPhone 6s more 16 GB for Christmas. She likes to take pictures with his iPhone, and she has many grandchildren phoos. I thought that his photos could be uploaded to iCloud and shared with his Macbook Pro that has 1 TB of storage and remove iPhotos on the iPhone, freeing a storage capacity on the iPhone, but I think that as soon as I upload the photos in iCloud, they will be reinstated in the iPhone. I must admit, I am completely confused about the iCloud shares the concept, so I thought I would ask experts. Currently, she has so many photos on her phone that she cannot download new applications. Help, please.

Hello! How do I remove photos from my iPhone and always keep them on my mac? I use iCloud and have about 50 GB of Photos on my phone. My plan is bigger than that, but again, I don't want to have that many photos on my iPhone (but keep them on my mac). Is this possible? Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you want to remove photos from your iPhone, but still keep the photos on your Mac. Use the article import pictures and videos from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to import all the photos from your iPhone to your Mac, more specifically, this section:

    Import into your Mac.

You can use Photos for OS X to import photos from your iOS device to your Mac without using iCloud photo library. This procedure also works for the import of images from digital cameras and SD cards.

    1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or digital camera to your Mac with a USB cable. If you use an SD card, insert it into the SD slot on your Mac, or connect using a card reader.
    2. You need to unlock your iOS device using your access code. You can also see a prompt on the device iOS asking you to Trust This Computer. Tap the confidence to continue.
    3. On your Mac, the Photos app automatically opens. If not, open the Photos app.
    4. The Photos app shows a screen of import with all photos and videos that can be found on the connected device. If the import screen does not automatically appear, click the Import tab at the top of the Photos app, or click on the name of the device in the sidebar of Photos.
    5. To import a selection of photos, click the ones you want, and then click Import selection. To import all new pictures, click Import all Photos again.
    6. Once the import is complete, a message asks if you want to delete or keep the photos on your device. Click on remove items to remove photos or click on keep items to keep them on the device.
If you select keep items, you will need to remove them directly from your device when you want to remove.
    7. You can now disconnect your device from your Mac. If you imported photos from an SD card or USB, safely eject the device first device.

Imported photos appear in the album last import of the Photos app.

Photos and videos that sync you from your computer on your device iOS through iTunes can be imported to your computer.

Know what to do If you can not import pictures from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer.

Once you have made sure all the photos have been imported to your Mac, you can then safely remove them from your iPhone. The iPhone user guide has the steps to remove photos from your iPhone, in particular, this section:

Delete a picture or video from pictures. Click on the Photos tab, tap the photo or video, press on , then press to remove the Photo or video delete. Deleted photos and videos are stored in the album recently deleted on iPhone, with a badge showing the remaining days until the item is permanently deleted from the iPhone. To permanently delete the photo or video before the days expire, tap the item, tap on delete, then remove the Photo or video delete. If you use iCloud photo library, deleted photos and videos are permanently removed from all your devices using iCloud photo library with the same Apple ID.

    See you soon!

  • Problems deleting the photos of iPhone 5s

    iPhone 5 s, MacBook12', App Photos

Discussion groups, I understand that I must use iTunes to remove photos from my iPhone that were initially synchronized 5S for my MacBook 12 "Photos app iPhone.

But the instructions are always the 'Photos' tab, which is nowhere to be seen when I open iTunes. Unable to get the screen of Photos.  He seems to care only sync music, although I have synced with iPhone photos for the MacBook hit 12 "previously.

When you connect your phone to your computer and open iTunes, you should see the icon of the iPhone at the top left. After clicking on it, a menu should appear on the left side of the screen which should include a Photos tab, but also a tab music. Is this is not the case? If this is not the case, try to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes (perhaps upgrade to El Capitan).

It seems to be configured by default to download photos/videos on its own database. It is editable so that I can choose the directory to which the photos/videos are uploaded?

If you just want to download pictures and videos in folders on your Mac, use the "Image Capture" application.  You can import photos from your mobile devices or cards of the camera and save them in files on the Mac.

If you want to use Photos for Mac to organize and edit your photos, but not store inside the library of Photos but as referenced in folders outside of library, you could import the photos with the preference setting "import: copy items to the library of Photos ' disabled.  But this configuration is risky and discouraged, referenced management files is poorly supported in the Photos. It is a disaster to delay.  You'll be out of luck, if your disk files and you need to restore the referenced photos from a backup or move it to another volume.

  • How to import photos to iPhone at airport Time Capsule

I just got a Macbook Pro, but there is no pictures anywhere near the storage I want for everything, so I bought a time Capsule 2 TB airport with the idea that I would use it as external storage. I'm looking to copy all photos on an iPhone at the Time Capsule airport. I put the directory import of Photos for the data on the Time Capsule file, but it does not appear to allow me to import them. He says not enough storage?

The problem is, TC is not external storage... It's the network device and it is not yet provided for storage... It's a time machine target.

It is better to buy a 1 TB portable USB drive or more... a quick... and plug it into the USB port...

Photos is not designed to work with storage networking... It is local or cloud.

I think that you will do better to ask the question in the box of photos... since it is really an application problem... No Time Capsule.
