"Photo of storage allocated by the performance Options > Visual effects.

After clicking on "Adjust for best performance" option [performance Options > Visual effects] pictures stored in my folder images only appear an icon (you will need to open to see the picture). When you select adjust for best performance, all boxes are unchecked. Should which option I check again for the images to display in my folder?

In the list, check the box for display thumbnails instead of icons.
