  I'm trying to migrate to a new Macbook. Photos seems to have stopped working and is empty - although I can see that libraries are there and can be opened with other software.

  You have the same version of Photos on both Machines?  Where are your libraries of Photos? In your pictures folder, or on an external drive?

  Yes, I can confirm this is the case, and it seems normal.  I'm guessing it is briefly activated in order to establish contact with iCloud, so he can make any necessary synchronization since it was the last stop.

  This isn't an Internet Explorer problem, but since you're here...

  1. from start > settings > Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types, find the type of file the list, and then select it. Click on change. Select the program you want by default. Make sure that "always use the program selected...". "is checked. OK your way out.

  2. option 2: do right click the file > open with > select choose program > program and always tick "use the program selected...". "OK your way out.
