Photoshop CC 2014 freezes on starup, win 8 64-bit.

A few seconds of opening, I get the Windows error "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working".  I checked the event log, and it seems to be caused by my Intel graphics driver:

The failing application name: Photoshop.exe, version: 15.1.0.148, time stamp: 0x53d97a8f

The failed module name: igdfcl64.dll, version: 8.1.0.3517, time stamp: 0x532b0c4c

Exception code: 0xc0000005

Offset: 0 x 0000000000809143

ID of the process failing: 0xd4

Start time of application vulnerabilities: 0x01cfd698b4454c7c

The failing application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Photoshop.exe

Path of the failing module: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\igdfcl64.dll

Report ID: f5c96109-428b-11e4-beab-b8ca3adab548

This is a laptop, so I can't update the driver through Intel (update failed), so I've updated the driver Dell and still the error message.  I've seen other messages suggesting I have disable the Intel graphics card, unfortunately that is not possible because I use 2 monitors in addition to the laptop screen and the NVS 5200 M can consider only 2 power screens so I lose this extra screen.

There are other possible ways to correct this error?

You can search the driver installation instructions "Have disk" and follow those.  Is to download the zip (not the exe file), then go to control panel, Device Manager, display device select, update driver, have-disk, point thdn to the directory that contains the inf file.

  • URGENT! Photoshop CC 2014 freezes everything working

I recently (yesterday) upgraded my RAM from 4 GB to 8 GB, hoping to make PS to run a little faster. He did just the opposite. Now, whenever I open Photoshop, I can start to work and throughout my work, more towards the beginning, Photoshop freezes. Once I have a click away from him, I can't go back, unless I minimize other programs, but it still fails. I go to the Task Manager to end the process, but once I'm there, then click on end process on Photoshop, but not luck. There's just there. It will remain open for maybe 5-10 minutes before finished. So I usually try again and the same thing happens. I tried to update my graphics driver, that I may have the wrong one can be can someone link me. I have an Intel HD Graphics Processor, at least that's what say Photoshop. I would be really grateful for help and the internet until now has been without help. Usually, it would be a last resort for me but. I need my Photoshop work as soon as POSSIBLE!

    Thanks in advance!

First thing you should download a good tester of stress of RAM and run it for a long time.  Faulty RAM memory can cause all kinds of malfunctions or data file corruption.  RAM is usually very good, however mistakes can be intermittent and go unnoticed when you use do not RAM ECC.  Since you have just installed new RAM it may not have been sitting well or could possible the wrong kind.  Make sure that your RAM is reliable.

  • Lightroom 6 NOT CC - freeze at startup Win 7 64 bit

Bought the DVD Lightroom 6 - ok installed on Windows 7 64 bit

Updated catalog of LR 5 - he had integrity (no problem)

First start screen - thanks for LR6

Opens with the last photo I had been change in LR5

Then it freezes, then I have to restart the program - at the same time, it creates a new catalog every time

Then I tried updating Adobe Application Manager - it starts the update and then says "administrator privileges are required" Quit is the only option, there is no place for me to enter the administrator password.

He seems to be trying to use the online system anyway, it was the idea of buying the DVD, so it would not include the CC system.

    Any ideas?

Solved - I was able to hit the help button and look for the updates - there was an update in April 2015.

When this was applied and restart done - LR6 now works fine.

    Hello

Were there any changes (hardware or software) to the computer before the show?

Put the computer to boot and see if the problem persists.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 can't find JavaScript plugin Photomerge

    Hello

I'm trying to use the Photomerge tool in Photoshop CC 2014 on my computer (Windows 7, 64-bit) and I am an error that says "Could not complete the Photomerge command because Photoshop could not find plugin JavaScript." The same thing happens with fixed optics and Merge to HDR Pro. I have Photoshop CC 2014 was last updated.

    javascriptphotomerge.jpg

By other suggestions on these forums about this, I tried:

    • Disable my antivirus in case she prevents the program to access scripts by this Tip
    • Downloading and following the instructions on the site of Adobe here to copy a folder of additional script into my Photoshop program folder
    • Uninstall and reinstall the program, followed by a restart of the system
    • Talk to customer support from Adobe (who has tried to solve the problem for well over an hour and also uninstalled and reinstalled the program)

It looks like the Photomerge file is in the right place (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2014\Presets\Scripts CC):

    photomergefile.jpg

And I am now of ideas on how to solve this problem. Someone at - it suggestions?

    Thank you!

I'm really running out of ideas. You have downloaded a new copy of the installer hopefully use CC 2014 menu help > update to get the update. Again the plug-in to ScriptingSupport.8li who is in the right place is not be loaded by CC 2014.  Something seems that blocks.  You ran a virus scan?   The only other things I can think of is to create a new username on your paper machine out of your user id and the journal the new ID and see if Photoshop runs of this ID.  And finally, there is a 32-bit Windows version of 2014 CC you can download install and try.  I didn't install the 32-bit version of CC 2014, I have CS2 32 bits, CS6 23 and 64 bi, CC 32 and 64-bit installed and only 64 bits 2014 installed CC versions.

Yesterday, I installed Photoshop CC (2014) through the creative cloud app. Now, when in Lightroom when I go to "Edit in" and select Photoshop CC (2014) and click on "edit copy with Lightroom adjustments", it opens Photoshop CC (2014) but my picture does not appear?  My picture is displayed when I click on "copy edit" or "edit original".

How can I fix this so that I can open a photo in Lightroom WITH Lightroom adjustments? Thank you!

My problem has been resolved by Adobe engineers. It seems that automatic resettlement carried out by sets of upgrade to win 10 everything to "run as Administrator". The simple solution, they told me was to disable this limitation and now everything works as it should.

  • Anyone else have problems with Photoshop CC 2014 WIA?

I tried to do a quick scan this morning and Photoshop wouldn't let me. Actually, just try to PS of accident causes. Every time. The report traces the problem to WIASupport.8li.

I know that it is not the scanner because I managed to get my doc to scan perfectly via MS Paint, of all things. Of course, being x 64, PS 2014 don't introduce myself a TWAIN alternative, which makes this WIA that support a lot more important. I could be wrong, but I also don't remember having this problem with the latest v14 PS.

My information system is the following:

    • APP: Photoshop CC v2014 (15.0.0.58)
    • MODULE FAILURE: WIASupport.8li (15.0.0.1)
    • OS: 8.1 Pro x 64 Windows (Update 1)
    • MATERIAL: Core i7 3930K, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GT630 (OEM) @1080 p, Canon Pixma MX432 Scanner

As I said, I know that it is not the scanner. The scanner works fine in other applications. Simply not PS 2014. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    ~ ~ Rob ~ ~

I am also on Win x 64 Pro 8.1, and my scanner is a HP Envy all-in-one.

HM, mine worked, but since you mentioned it I fooled with dialog boxes and I managed to cause Photoshop CC (2014) down: I tried to hit the button [Browse] to change the Destination folder.  Normally I don't change that and simply open the files into Photoshop directly, that always works.

  • CameraRaw is not updated in CC Photoshop and Photoshop CC 2014. The active version is always 8.3, 8.5 is available. MAO and CC App say out loud - to.date.

On my PC Windows 7 (x 64), I have Photoshop CC and since this morning Photoshop CC 2014. If I open a RAW or DNG file in one of them, CameraRaw version 8.3 opens. When I search the updates via help-> updates, no updates are found. The application of creative cloud displays no update as well (all day).

For Photoshop CS6 (installed in parallel, local license, no cloud version) I got an update to 8.5 CameraRaw today. And it works in this old version.

Already tried to download the manual update of keeping up to date of Photoshop. However, Setup fails with "update failed. Updates could not be installed".

How can I make CameraRaw 8.5 available for CC / CC 2014 as well?

Solved! Found another post in this forum that gave me some useful advice. You need to download Camera Raw 8.5 manually.

Download link for Camera Raw 8.5.0.236 for Windows is http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/win/PhotoshopCameraRaw8-8.0/8.5.50/setup.zip

The Installer did not work, so I only unzipped the file. You can find the plugins from Camera Raw in the subdirectories:

    32-bit version:

    -> payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-050614141453/Assets1_1.zip

check out the "1003" file and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi.

copy to c:/Program Files (x 86) / Common/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats/CameraRaw.8bi (previous CameraRaw is replaced, you must copy the older version of a record first place)

    64-bit version:

    -> payloads/AdobeCameraRaw8.0All-x64-050614143245/Assets1_1.zip

check out the "1002" file and rename it to "Camera Raw.8bi.

copy to c:/Program Files / Common / Adobe / Plug - ins / CC / File Formats / CameraRaw.8bi (previous CameraRaw is replaced, you must copy the older version of a record first place)

Beginning Photoshop CC and open a RAW file to be sure it's ok now.

After that not able to do anything I force restart

OS win 7 64 bit 4 GB ram i5 processor

    Pls suggest...

    Concerning
    Vishnu K

    Hello

Do you run a specific application while the laptop freezing?

These symptoms may be related to some software conflicts between installed applications or some drivers not work.

Have you ever tried to recover the laptop back to factory settings?
Otherwise, I think you should try this procedure and it must conduct audits after the device has been recovered...

Please also keep an eye on the MS updates would install automatically... sometimes it may happen that MS updates could confuse the system, and finally the windows would start freezing

  • I can't connect Photoshop Elements 10 for canoscan lide 110 with win 7(64 bit) driver

Hello I recently bought Photoshop Elements 10, so that I can have the Photoshop Elements program compatible with win 7(64 bit)

I installed Photoshop Elements 10 (Spanish edition) and apart from the scanner seems to question, it works well. But when I had searched and found a win 7 (64-bit) driver scanner STILL does well with Photoshop elements 10. Sound so much, that I've got an old pc from xp win with Photoshop Elements 5 and it works perfectly, but I bought a second and more recent laptop with win 7 Home Premium (64-bit), when I install the driver, windows shows, that its been installed correctly, but when I want to open driver (scanner) in Photoshop elements 10 y NO LINK TO OPEN IT!

Please see the 2 attachments, where you can see, there is a link in Photoshop elements 5, but WITHOUT LINK in Photoshop elements 10. What is the problem, I really do not know? In both cases, I installed ONLY scanning-gear not a pilot program called Navigator canon, and I don't want that and don't think its necessary. When working in the old 5 elements with scan-gear driver only, it must be the same in 10 things I guess. Someone has a bright idea, and can you help me? I would be very grateful.

Can I install the old license of Photoshop CS4 on PC with Microsoft Win 7 or Win 10? I want to buy old software, but I don't know Don t, if it will be possible to use on my PC. I thank very you much for the replies.

CS4 works on Win 7, but I would be careful to buy an old version of PS, as there are many scams out there, and you're likely to get some software that can not be activated.
