• Photoshop CC 2014 will not open all the files, not even create new ones

  I have a freshly installed version of Photoshop CC 2014, and it is enough to open any file single no matter what I do.  I also CC 2014 Illustrator installed since last week and it behaves very well, and even open files that Photoshop won't open (jpg, psd, png, etc.).

  I tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling and it doesn't always open all files.  In fact, nothing happens when I click on the 'Open' button in the open file dialog.

  Well, I finally got to work by trial and error.  Here are the steps I used to run:

  (1) make sure that you are not behind a Firewall/VPN/etc, just connect directly to the internet (if possible).  I use Adobe for my work laptop, and I was informed that this could be a problem during the installation process.

  (2) uninstall Photoshop via the creative cloud application interface.

  (3) click on icon creative cloud of the system and "Quit" status bar (it is automatically started for me to a previous start)

  (4) make a right click on the creative cloud desktop icon and choose "Run as Administrator"

  (5) Photoshop re - install

  After completing the above steps, I can now open any file png, jpg, gif, etc, so that start a new file.  I have no idea why it works or if my not play no role in fixing it, but I thought it was worth sharing for others to try if they encounter a similar problem.  It could be the firewall that I was behind, or the permissions (I don't think creative cloud starts as an administrator).  But I'm not able to say that I know the exact resolution.  I hope this helps!

  Usually the last 6/2015 Lightroom edits by default in the CC 2014 module development > Photo > edit in...

  However, in Lr preferences, you can choose another editor.

  CC of Photoshop is version 14.2.1.

  Photoshop CC 2014 is version 15.0.  You run the wrong application.

  I use 15 "top of the range MacBook Pro Retina Display and it saddens me that I had to disable the new Photoshop CC 2014 guides intelligent because when I work on large files PSD GUI they just slow everything down.

  Whenever I have try to zoom in or out by using the keyboard shortcut, I see the wheel rotation of death. I think this happens because most of the shortcuts are used by pressing the command key, which is the key that activates the new smart feature guide.

  We just released the first update for PS CC 2014 (20141) and the update includes a few performance patches.  Update to the latest version if you have a chance please post here if you are still experiencing some slowness when smart guides are turned on.

• Problem with 'Ghosts' in Photoshop CC 2014

  Hello. I have a rather strange problem so I hope you can understand. Everything that I work in photoshop with the text imported as a smart object. I copied the smart object layer and apply different styles with dynamic filters to achieve a certain effect. With the help of a smart object as the source for all styles allows me to apply the final effect in several ways. However, at some point, strange ghosts started appearing on the layers. I have final trashed my prefs and a new file from scratch. Same thing. When I open the smart object for editing, I noticed some of the ghost came from the mask.   I contacted adobe support and a tech guy changed some preferences (as shown) if anyone else has this problem, I hope this can help. Good luck.
