Photoshop - configuration has changed

Trying to open Photoshop 8.0 this morning & an error popped up saying that my computer's configuration has changed since the program was installed. Gave me the option to update the license, but on appeal, the record indicates that the activation number does not have the required numbers (serial numbers and activation as were present on the error screen). I tried several times to enter the information where I typed the number, but to no avail.

This computer is not connected to the internet and the program was installed nearly a decade ago. Why the problems now? (He has developed interim for know it is obsolete even ?)

Adobe is requiring an authorization Code, but I can't seem to access one.

Impossible to find a solution online. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Photoshop canvas has changed when I updated to Photoshop.

    I do a lot of layering of the different exposures in photoshop and usually I simply drag and drop the photo on top of an Im working with and I can align quite easily.  For some reason any now when I move the picture anywhere but right on the square it starts in the process of disappearance.  How can I do if I can drag the photo around the entire page again?

    Not sure if I understand very well what is disappearing, but if you hold SHIFT when you drag and drop, it will stick in place on the new canvas

    Hello ladies and gentlemen!

    I can't believe I'm still having the same problem after a water landing forced my MBP mid-2012 and invest a lot of money in the new iMac. Now I'm sure this is the problem of the El Capitan, not the hardware. Especially after the last update of the system.

    Everything was going fine until last week when my iMac suddenly started to have some kind of hiccups - mouse ceased to answer at any time (100% battery), pages began to load really slow and sometimes only has not at all and Adobe apps began to plant without any particular reason. Nothing has changed and I haven't done anything unusual when it was absolutely new and running like a beast.

    The thing that is interesting to me is the use of the CPU and RAM. (It a few months ago when I had the problem with MBP), I noticed that when you open a page in Safari (any type of page) and let it stay there for a few days it starts to use a LOT of material in the background, even if you have completely forgotten this page and did not open it / refresh it for a long time - screenshots below. Why the hell is happening? I do not understand why Safari does need juice both by the love of God because no matter how much it will be, he will use it. I thought that changing from 8GB to 32GB it will solve the problem. Boy, I was wrong...

    I wonder about these extensions Safari and internet plug-ins.

    Safari, as all browsers, I fear, is a memory hog.

    As a temporary solution, simply exit and restart Safari can mitigate the problem.

    After you have installed the latest updates of windows on 12/12/2012, my screen has changed. All the graphics have been expanded, including the desktop icons, taskbar, tool bars, bars of window, etc..     Thank you for your kind assistance which directed me to the solution. Change the screen resolution in the problem resolved display settings. Strange how that changed spontaneously after the restart following the installation of the security updates.

    A quick search indicates you have probably allowed the system to become infested/infected.

    Here's what I propose - from top to down, don't skip any even if you do 30 minutes as part of an obsession, part of all that you already have.  ;-)

    Search for malware:

    Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

    Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

    Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

    Cleaning the components of update on your Windows XP computer

    Given your current number, it's a good idea at this time to ensure that you continue to get the updates you need. This will help you ensure that your system update is ready to do it for you.

    Download and run the MSRT tool manually:

    1. don't you make changes to the computer before getting this error?

    2 are you able to boot normally to the desktop when you turn on computer?

    3. have you tried to install any device memory on your computer?

  • "Adobe Photoshop cc has stopped working" when I click on an adjustment layer

    I get this message "Adobe Photoshop CC has stopped working".

    I've done everything there is on the help site. Still no luck. Here's what happens:

    Photoshop opens and I can work with it. It seems that almost all functions work perfectly, HOWEVER... When I try to access an adjustment layer, say the levels, then Photoshop will stop. Strangely, if I select the black & white adjustment layer, it WORKS? The OTHERS don't.

    I also had on the Adobe help forum and can't help and say it could be a flaw in Windows

    My system:

    Windows 7 Service pack 1

    740 NVIDIA graphics card

    Avast security

    The modules work perfectly in Safe Mode BUT not when I do a clean reboot.

    I also did the following:

    Creates a new user

    Run FIXIT

    SFC/SCANNOW

    Uninstalled and re installed Photoshop CC

    Uninstalled and re installed Driver Nvidia

    Restored to the old NVIDIA driver

    Uninstalled all drivers (Wacom tablet & external HD)

    There were also times that I could not get into the event viewer (this message appeared "Microsoft Management Console has stopped working")

    b. what fixit did you run, when you say "Run FIXIT"?

    You have tried most of the linear troubleshooting, it can be concluded that the question could arise also following a conflict of third-party software that impede the performance of Adobe Photoshop CC. To diagnose the problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

    It is possible that the application has not been uninstalled properly and have hampered after the new installation. I suggest to try to start the next fixit and then try to install the program Photoshop CC.

    If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

    The question could also arise due to a conflict of third-party software, so, I would be as you suggest clean boot of the system once and then try to install the program in a boot environment.

    I think that you can change or remove the password if there is another user on the computer account. You can login to the account and do what you need with other accounts in the Panel configuration.
