Photoshop crashes trying to recover a file

Previously, I was working on a photo with several layers and tried to set the mask mode when he's locked.  After an hour of waiting to make it end, I've finally finished PS through the Windows Task Manager.  Now, whenever I start the PS, it tries to retrieve the image and keeps it locked up.  I tried to restart my computer, but it always does.  It doesn't lock the entire computer but I need to finish the job.  I've accepted the fact that I have to start all over again with the image, now I want to just get back to it.  I use PS CC on Windows 7.

Thanks for any help.

I think that this file of documents may be a Goner.  If you want to recover this file first, try to reset your preferences to see if Photoshop starts.  If Photoshop crashes always you must move the recovery of your record collection of Photoshop PSB files.  Photoshop needs to start, you can try to open the files PSB that you left records of collection of Photoshop one at a time to see in everything can be recovered, each user ID use it Photoshop due to a case of automated recovery for Photoshop versions the user ID used.

Title says it all really... I was working on a file and my computer blue projected (I need to fix my computer) but anyway... I opened the file and photoshop gave me an error saying that it is not a document not valid PS.

There is in any CASE or anyone can recover my file? Even a flat version would suffice at this stage, but prefer the layers as there are many of them... Theres something in the file got to be so good? I mean the 10 MB file... I can't just open it from my computer to restart after the first screen blue/crash

I downloaded on my site if anyone knows how to recover the file, or if you know a tutorial of recovery that I could follow I could really use advice or the hands on help!

I tried to run through a recovery of SDB program, but he would not accept the file... What should I do? Theres always loads data in the file if it has 10 MB in it right?

Actually, Yes, you are.  I'm sorry.

You can have 10 MB of truncated pixels and other assorted pieces of junk.

Either way, 10 MB isn't a large amount of data.  The raw pictures of one of my cameras come at least 4 times that.

  • Trying to recover deleted files offline

    Hello

I have a Windows 7 domain computer that had the Folder Redirection on the my documents and desktop folders. It is a portable computer that uses offline files also.

It turns out that for some reason any synchronization to the server has stopped working since a long time (over a year) and so all the files current users were not saved. Luckily there was a problem with users of profile and a junior tech removed in order to create a new one that might work. With a new profile, the synchronization is now operational but it all the old files synchronization that were on the server and the user loses the files cached on the laptop.

A search in C:\Windows\CSC folder only shows these last files cached and no old files.

I ran a file recovery tool and found thousands of deleted files in the c:\Windows\CSC\temp folder in the format of temp-{448a5a00-0e7e-11e5-8eed-5cac4cf9610e}.dat. I believe that these are old files offline because there is over 2000 of them.

Is there a way to recover these files deleted to their original form? Nearest I found is that Ubuntu can actually play some Dat files and I can back up to a normal file type but it's only a little. Please help with ideas as the user would be to more than one year of data otherwise. Also, is there a way to monitor in the center of synchronization of files on the computers in the domain offline?

    Thank you!

  • Photoshop crashes after opening the Raw files

    I have i76800K Broadwell-E 64 GB RAM and 512 GB Samsung 950 m2 SSD Intel processor.

In Windows 10 when I edit the raw files of 50 or 60 and open them in Photoshop, my PC freeze for about 20 seconds after opening all the files then its fine again. I tried on different PC and it's the same question. I tried to optimize my system and nothing works. Never had this problem in Windows 7. But same question in Windows 8.1 and 10 everyone has experienced the same problem here? Can you try to open about 50 raw files in Photoshop and see if your PC crashes for 15-20 seconds after their opening.

    Thanks for your help.

OK, installed the latest version of Photoshop CC 2015.5 and looks like the problem is solved. Looks like it comes with Photoshop CC 2015.0.

    Thank you

  • 2015 Photoshop crashes whenever I close a file.

I upgraded Photoshop yesterday I tried works normally, everything was fine, but did not much, just a few adjustments cropping and color again, every time I want to close the file, Photoshop would crash... IT IS VERY ANNOYING!

What I do back by 2014 or will this fixed soon!

Temporary workaround for this problem is to disable your GPU in Performance preferences (Edit > Preferences > Performance > uncheck activate the graphic processor).

  • I had a Trojan virus - actually a rootkit. I tried to recover my files by saving them to CD. The virus would be on the CD too now?

This virus has been redirect me to different Web pages. It seemed to affect the internet. Everything worked fine except the internet. I thought I have to reformat the computer because it could not be removed by several software so in desperation I saved all my recent files on CD to save them. I'm finally rid of the rootkit, but I wonder if the CD should be discarded? or such a virus would be in the operating system, it was in windows system 32 and not in my documents, etc.

I tried to analyze one of the disks, but it froze my Blue computer-screen of death, so I threw them. Of course, they are dangerous. I scanned my computer after and it seems ok.

  • Computer crashed - trying to recover!

Now, I have a new hard drive for PC and have re-installed the software for m500.  My m500 is not my current files.    However, I reinforced my folder "Palm" from my PC to an external HD.  Is there a way to bring all my contact data into the newly installed software on my main hard drive?

    Thank you very much!

Look in the Palm folder to the folder of user name of Palm Desktop hard disk that has the Palm folder. Copy this folder. Paste the file into the Palm folder on the new hard drive. If you use the exact version of Palm Desktop, it should work.

  • I'm trying to recover my documents on a hard drive that has a damaged copy of windows on it.

I'm trying to recover the files on the computer of a friend who crashed some time ago. I can't get windows XP to boot at all, even in safe mode.

When I set the old hard drive to another computer and try to access the folder my documents, it requires user name and password. I enter it and get a permission denied message. How can I access this data?

Can I reinstall windows without wiping the hard drive and then try to take ownership of files? I'm so confused please help someone!

You don't need to reinstall Windows.  Just take possession of the documents folder. Boulder computer Maven

  • Undelete to recover a file LARGER than 4 GB

I accidentally delete a folder with many files of size greater than 4 GB.  I've tried so far the following application:

    (1) recuva
    (2) GetDataBack for NTFS v4.0
    (3) file Scavenger 3.2

and none of them can see files greater than 4 GB.  I have a bit of luck trying to recover these files?
Is there some custom settings I have applied?
Or is this a limitation of Vista?

    OS: Vista Premium 64-bit
    Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
    4 GB OF RAM

appreciate all help.  If there is another application that will recover the files larger than 4 GB, please let me know and I'll buy it.
So far, I've already lost some $$$.

    Best regards

    It is a long shot.

  • URGENT *: CC 2015 Photoshop crashes whenever it tries to open a file

I recently updated my CC to 2015 of Photoshop (Adobe Creative Cloud) and post here that update, it blocks every time it tries to open any file, any size (CR2, Jpeg).

It gives a simple error that adobe Photshop has stopped working.

    A PS CC2015 err.jpg

I have a computer dell laptop with Windows 7 64-bit OS.

    Pls help urgently.

The path of the defective module is the same and its blocking because of the Intel Graphics Driver on your computer, "ig7icd64.dll" corresponds to the software driver for intel.

We recommend that you update the drivers from the Intel site now and see if that helps.

Path of the failing module: C:\Windows\system32\ig7icd64.dll

  • computer has crashed - need to recover files

Original title: my husbands computer crashed.  He said that the registry has been damaged.  Is there something to do to recover his files please?

There had been problems for a few days and the computer is very slow.  The II programme has made its scheduled scan and my husband thinks that it deled some registry files, that it should not have.  I have no agreement and advised him to contact Dell for advice but decided that he could do it himself!   Anyway, he has tried to restore etc but said nothing.  He lost everything, including some files very important and is charging as much as he can.  I'm sure that there is nothing to be done, but thought I'd ask anyway.

I'm so sorry for wasting your time.  I went on your advice to my husband that I thought he wanted to help but, true to form, he decided to do it himself.  He lost everything and had to reinstall everything, so there is nothing you can do.  I am very grateful to you for having responded.

  • Hard Drive Crash-how can I recover the files?

My laptop crashed, firstly the screen went black, so I married a VGA cable and connected to my tv but nothing came, and then told me to remove my old hard drive, so I could transfer files to another computer using my old drive as an external drive. I got a connector which allow me to hang it up to my USB but when I tried to find my files that I looked on the Z: drive that showed on my other laptop so I guess that's my old hard drive, but it said no file found. Help! I have all my pictures and documents on it and I need to know if there is a way to recover my files or they are gone forever.

Depending on the reason for your computer crashing on as he did, you've probably lost everything. Why did not the backups of your data?

Try using a file on the disk recovery program, but don't expect too much. The real world of file recovery is a bit different from what you see on television crime...

  • crash InDesign down and impossible to recover my file...

Since the last update of CC, indesign always crash and then my document cannot recover, they say it can be damaged and when they ask my if I want to recover the file, again yes well indesign crash! I've lost three document now! What can I do?

I don't think that CC 2015 will even install on 10.7...

Now you must get rid data recovery that are damaged for InDesign InDesign will launch at least, then you can try to open your versions stored at the last files (you will lose all unsaved changes) and you can try exporting to IDML.

Firstly see InDesign crashes at startup while trying to recover a damaged document , and then delete the minor corruption by exporting if you are able to open the file. Make sure that you have actually installed the latest patch for what version you use.

  • I had a Photoshop crash, where can I find the last PSD file?

I don't know where are my temporary files. Can someone help me please!

[Left the forum Cloud/Installer generic for program specific forum... MOD]

First Photoshop isn't a file editor, he worked on the Document in memory data structures.  If your work on a picture unless continuously, you save and overwrite the source image file, nothing has changed in your image file.

Photoshop has an AutoRecover feature in newer versions of Photoshop.  Lights up when you change a recovery file is written to a time interval programmed while you are editing images of images.  If Photoshop crash when you start Photoshop recovery should be automatic. You should document available as it was the last time it was auto-saved.  You will lose Photoshop history States and the steps you did after the auto-save and the time that Photoshop crashed.

The document recover will be called *. PSB. PSB files are native Photoshop big image file format.
