Photoshop CS3 crashes at startup when it comes to the 'TWAIN menu construction' article

  Help

  I purchased the CS4 update and Photoshop does for me. I get as far as "initializing panels", then a crash with the message "an unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because you don't have the necessary access privileges. Photoshop will leave now. I'm running an intel Mac Pro 2 x 266 with 7 GB of ram, Radeon X 1900 graphics. and loads of hard drive space. I tried to fix the permissions, installing on a different volume and update the graphic card firmware. I looked corrupted prefs, but CS4 prefs file is empty.

  The accident report follows, any ideas gratefully received.

  Question: My HP p6710f desktop computer crashes at startup when 2 Sandisk Cruzer USB drive (8 GB/FAT32, a 16 GB/FAT32) is installed in a hub Targus USB2 multiport (connected to the back USB port of p6710f).

  With USB flash drives installed, from a market boot: Boot past the BIOS (blue) screens, then 'underline' cursor blinks just on the black screen and hangs.  It does not start a Win7 from the hard drive.

  With USB flash drives installed, from a bunch of market: If in the (blue) BIOS screen, I hit the ESC and select the hard disk device (which is the top of the "boot device") then boot proceeds normally and boots Win7 from the hard drive.

  If I do the trunk with the key removed USB, the boot process proceeds normally and starts Win7 disk.

  I have flashed to the latest ROM system from the support page of p6710f.  Who really seemed to solve the problem for a while, but the hook finally reappeared.

  I copied all the data on USB flash drives, formatted their 'rapid' and copied all the data back.  No joy.

  Here is a link to the Sandisk Cruzers.  I deleted all the files on U3/etc. out of them, I want all of the space available on them for auxiliary data storage, I can't boot from them:

• Photoshop CS5 crashing my Mac when resizing of large images

  I have not much to explain this further, but Photoshop CS5 crashes my Mac when I resize large images.  Small images are very good but big 300 dpi images it crashes without warning.  Don't know what to do.  The only other similar thing is that after Effects CS5 crashes my Mac when I cut a clip.  It completely disables my Mac when I cut a clip.

  Yes, it's the RAM. Despite the Ram chips all being the same type and properly spec'd and be swapped round and reinstated by replacing them with a manufacturer different type solves the problem.

  If someone else decided to buy third-party Ram for their 27 "iMac - buy the Samsung because they seem to work without problem.

  1. click right on the desktop > customize. Select adjust font size and try the larger scale (120 DPI) or click Custom DPI and select a different percentage.

  2. click right on the desktop > personalize > display settings > resolution. Move the slider to one notch down. This will make everything on the larger screen, but you need to scroll more that you used to see everything on the screen.

  3. for Internet Explorer, use the Zoom feature on the right side of the status bar or use the key combination [Ctrl and +] and [Ctrl-] to zoom in or out.

  The search system is performing one analysis every few hours to check what's new.  Looks like you deleted emails but the scan has not yet executed.

  If you find that the scan never works at all, you can rebuild the search system by opening the Indexing Options (search to find it) and click on rebuild indexes.

  The objc_msgSend tender looks that you have been bitten by a bug of long DURATION ObjectiveC Apple - he doesn't like things to get his discharge, ever.   If you have a third-party plugin (even a scanner driver) that you used in this session and that the plugin used ObjectiveC (cocoa), then it might fail when you close this plugin or when you exit the application.

  Take a look at the plugins you use, and all the other drivers (such as the scanner) that you could use.  Do not use (or remove) can solve the problem.

  Having a problem with Photoshop when run as an administrator not on the PC area.

  I don't think its related material, the same problem occurs on multiple types of hardware in several suites and will work very well with an administrator.

  In our configuration of most of the users on the domain are not admin and students if this isn't really a poisibility to give all users of photoshop admin rights

  Hi all

  Just for anyone else who gets the same question that we have, I think I found the solution, in our case at least.

  I ran process monitor again to see if I could spot something strange that Photoshop was trying to do and then I found this:

  

  It seems that Photoshop is trying to create a new file to the root of the directory windows called pslog.txt and when he fails to make the program crashes.

  So I created a script that creates this file and then gives all users write access, and this has prevented the crash.

  Hope this helps someone else who is in the same situation as us, trying to get the program to run in a domain environment.
