  I had Adobe PS CS3 installed on my laptop wife.  But his HARD disk was giving problems, so I've migrated the o/s to a new hard drive to SSD.

  Now, I install the software back, I have successfully installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and recorded it, I then tried to install the upgrade for CS3 DVD:

  Photoshop CS4, but it fails to insert the code. The code for the CS4 update is accepted OK but when it asks for the serial number for Photoshop CS3 already installed and registered, he said that this serial number is not recognized. I can't seem to work around this problem, and it is very annoying. I have received for the two versions and they were bought from reputable companys Unfortunately it was a few years ago, so probably no help now.

  The last time that happened a few years back, I contacted Adobe who talked through the process that required a different number series and another method

  I had this software since 2008.  It works on the same PC for the last five years, now I've finally updated the PC, my serial number is not valid and will not turn on.  Customer service cat said its a wrong number and if I could provide proof of purchase (?)  Are you kidding me?  They do not show the software has been saved - ever - so why it worked very well for the last five years?  To compound things, chat India hung up on me - twice!  So I can think, I wonder what our societies on the licenses in Volume Adobe site - serial numbers, guess what?  They are too disabled!  Coincidence?  I do not!  I want an answer as why any number of series, I go to Creative Suite 2 Premium, technology Suites 2, 3 and 3.5 and a private company Photoshop CS4 Extended are ALL disabled according to Adobe?  Is there an error in translation from English to Hindi?  Or are your corporate systems so not screwed up, you have no idea as to what is a valid serial number and what is not, so you get just around and around and around until you just hang up on them or they get if frustrated and angry, they'll get a pirated version and generate a key so that they never have to talk to you again.  I'm certainly not spending another $800 on another Adobe product which may or not have a valid key.  I want the key I legally own validated!  Today!

  Adobe technical support helps with the resolution just before your answer.

  It seems that some or all the following is necessary.

  #1. Uninstall all

  #2. Create a new user with admin rights

  #3. Make sure that the language is set to ENG American or British instead of any other language variation ENG ENG (can this point is not significant)

  #4. Installation connected as a new user (use latest installer downloaded from Adobe)

  #5. Enter the serial at installation time (at the prompt everything first serial number)

  This image is only a little more than 3 megabytes.  It's not quite large for a true CR2 file from your camera - they are normally over 10 megabytes, right?

  The raw file seems to be truncated.  Photoshop does not open, and the free software IrfanView will convert only the upper left quadrant.

  

  Regarding the recovery of the images, at least in part, you may be lucky...  Canon's Raw files contain an embedded JPEG preview image.  It is smaller than the size of the full pixel of the camera and in front in the file.

  Photo Viewer Windows 7 or the free software IrfanView will extract the JPEG embedded all of the image of the figure of the cat of this file.  You may use these tools to extract previews for use.

Now, I can not "enable OpenGL drawing" in Photoshop and I guess I have to change my graphics card to help the cause!   The ATI Radeon HD 4670 works very well in a system of 470/670 and attracts little energy.  I used this same card for one year in my 470 until I moved to the top of a new workstation.  It was rock solid stable.  Your 670 has a beefier power supply, and it shouldn't be a problem to launch even more eager to be able to use a card.  Reference well Dell built these workstations.

  Download 1 GB of the 4670 model.  My experience has been with this card VisionTek version, but there are other brands that have implemented the ATI reference design, and some are pretty good markets.

  If you are looking for even more power GPU, ATI 5670 should be a little faster (a little less than 2 times the 4670 to about 2 x the cost performance).

• Photoshop CS4 video card? -Need Display Port

  You people have been wonderful to help me with this project. For those who have not seen from my previous posts, I build a computer for a friend who uses Photoshop CS4 exclusively for photo 2D work. It's everything that he uses his computer, so no other questions.
  

  After a lot of research and help from you, I found the "perfect" video card The only problem is, it is not a display Port.

  PROBLEM: None of the NVidia cards "tested" on the list of Adobe CS4 you guys referred to have Ports to display!

  Now what? With the reputation of CS4 to be picky, we risk buying a card not on the list?

  The list was just updated in mid-January... and had not been a while. It may be a long time before it is updated again.

  In Applications | Photoshop it is a local folder containing the language packs.  My original installation has a record en_US.

  I have a German version of Photoshop installed, copied the de_DE folder out of this locale folder in the location of origin outside my English version.  I started Photoshop, went to preferences and presto, there was the option of second language.  After the restart of Photoshop, Adobe wonder a serial number. Pretty ballsy, in my opinion, but given that my University buys the serial numbers on the quantity discount... I entered a German series and I can switch between versions.  So far, I have not problems.

  In hindsight, this solution is quite elementary.  I have a Photoshop installation, (relatively) weak economy 600 MB on HDD of my MBP.  Once again, pretty cheeky for Adobe to require 2 licenses for this, but the payment of my employer, I really care.  My question for you, why is it not a better documented procedure or a feature of rather normal installation?

  I had the same problem. I have went in the Control Panel, chose printers and deleted the "HP 8500 Series Fax"and now it prints correctly. I am running Vista 64 bit. Good luck.

Then use either app of your Mac OS X Time Machine to back up your system on the external drive OR buy, install, and use a soft, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, cloning of data to make an exact copy and updates (clone) of the hard drive internal all. This step is really necessary in case something goes wrong with the installation of the new operating system or just you dislike the new operating system, you have a very easy way / procedure to return your Mac to its former State.

  Then, determine if your Mac meets all THE minimum installation requirements.

  It is a big question. For me, I don't want to hurt to see what I need for everything that contributes, I like it.

  There are a lot of different ways, you can see things in the Finder that you might like, but there is also information on how to expand the 'Name' column too. The following article, well written for El Capitan still provides a basic concepts that apply to the Mavericks as well:

  If you are only interested to expand the column enough to know the names of files, here is what you will do.

  Resizing of columns: column and Cover Flow in the list view, drag the line between column headers.

  To develop a column to display the names of files in their entirety, double-click the column separator.

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A200 and I tried to install Photoshop CS4 Extended yesterday.

  Maybe you need to update your software Photoshop CS4 Extended.
  In my opinion, this could solve this problem because, as you said the picture can be changed correctly using the Photoshop Elements 6.

  I think that it s ONLY a problem of software Photoshop CS4 Extended.
