  I use my trial of Photoshop CS6 extended for 10 days now. I ran into a particular problem - when saving a file Photoshop does not display any kind of icon. No thumbnail, non-generic, nothing. It is not a huge problem, I can always open the image but don't not by double-clicking the icon: it is simply not there.

  I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a resolution- or is this just a bug? I didn't have this problem with version beta and I fixed all the permissions on my hard drive to see if that was the problem.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Thumbnails in the open dialog box are provided by the operating system (as is the majority of the open/save dialog).  So, there is always a problem with creating BONE or the display of thumbnails.

  It is not a question of blame Apple without reason, just that Apple has a lot of bugs in the operating system that quickly attaches.

  Here, we know that the operating system is responsible for the miniatures, clearing the cache of the OS of the thumbnails and metadata better for some people, and that even after the operating system cannot always pull thumbnails when it is supposed to.  I have no idea why it would be worse, in some applications, others - but the OS is clearly not draw labels, and this isn't something that Photoshop has no control over.

• Photoshop CS6 PDF files does not open in Adobe Acrobat

  I used Photoshop to create smaller PDF files. I've never had a problem with CS6 until last week. When I click on save to PDF dialog box "error" is displayed. However, when I try to open the new file in Adobe Acrobat reader, a dialog box says 'insufficient memory '. In addition, in my windows Explorer, the file appears as just a white box in the sidebar "Preview".

  You have updated Acrobat / Adobe Reader recently? If so, this update may have introduced a compatibility problem in shared libraries across the world of the Adobe PDF. Either the update never passed by correctly and you now have a sloppy Acrobat. Do other sources open PDF files? If this isn't the case, it would be a strong suspicion that you may need to reinstall / repair Acrobat. It is also possible that you have probably enabled sandbox in Acrobat security preferences (or did an update) and so Acrobat refuses to open some files, if it is unable to determine their origins. One more thing that comes to mind: have you tried saving the file twice in a row under the same name? This kind of thing sometimes happens too fast (on SSD drives and others) and is not update Windows file security information in time (or your virus scanner cannot keep up) and the resulting file is useless. Crush them with the same file would then give the correct results.

• Photoshop CS6 no image in x 64

  I use a trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 now to try before you buy. I had also installed a trial of After Effects, Premiere Pro CS6 and other 64-bit applications, and they all have problems. My problem is that there is no image in Photoshop. It appears in the thumbnail in layers but not in the main window. Now, I decided that I would try the 32 bit version... it worked perfectly... no problem. Of course, I couldn't do it with the first or AE because they have x 64 only, but I had similar problems to those too. In fact, all 64-bit applications run slower than their 32-bit counterparts, which all went very well. I'm confused, I have drivers updated and patched programs, but it does not work. You guys have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  Or disable the GPU in Photoshop until you can get a newer driver without the bugs.

After Googling, I read to just change the location to another hard drive instead of the main, so I went into Preferences, uncontrolled drive C and checked the E drive. • Photoshop CS6: Why is rendered 3D crashing after only a minute or two to make...?

  I don't get an error or anything, but the blue grid following the rendered area eventually came to a stop, and Photoshop is frozen. I use the Task Manager to stop it.

  A few days ago I used the catalyst to install all the latest drivers. I did when I got CS5. I tried to do some 3D with CS5, but this version was not able to detect my GPU, so I myself CS6. I did things 3D for the last days of couple without problem a lot. I mean, the rendering was slow, but never stopped...

  I thought maybe it was the size of my document, so I have reduced the size and got a little further the rendering process, but ends up always by crashed.

  Any suggestions? Are there settings that I could use to optimize rendering?

  I think it's time to hunt in the document for the problem. Do the following simplifications to the document of 500 x 500 pixels.

  In environment, disable the IBL and white ambient value. Set ground reflections and shadows on the ground at 0%.

  In scene, select "Remove hidden backfaces" (which hides the faces back polygons rather than "withdrawal" something which is already hidden) because you are made outside the opaque solids, so there is no point in having the rendering engine to examine the inside of objects.

  Turn off all the lights.

  Apply the gray material called 'No. Texture' to all objects and making things no shadows and not receive shadows.

  Which must be made the same for the following screenshot which was of 6 passes in about 3.5 minutes with my puny bicoeur processor. 4 first passes took about 1 second each, 5 pass lasted about 30 seconds, 6 col took about 3 minutes. A revived Photoshop and repeated with the same time.

  Let your return for at least 10 minutes, though, to check if it freezes.

  I'll open an image (jpg, png) that has a size in bytes of 2000 x 3096. What ends up happening, is that it is initially open a window full screen, and after a second or two, this window full screen will be reduced to a window screen. Now, I have to click on the maximum window size button in the upper right to expand the window to full size, click with the right button on the image, select Image seen on the menu drop down and then finally click on the image so that it can display in its original size.
