  I'm looking to replace my Dell laptop with a 15.6 laptop "series of Inspiron 5000, which has 16 GB RAM 1 TB HD, Intel i7 processor and an AMD Radeon R5 M335 4 GB DDR3 video card.  It is a touch screen with Windows 10.  In talking with Dell technical support, I was told that PhotoShop CS6 FONCTIONNERA NOT with Windows 10 not with the touchscreen even though technology Adobe said it will work with Windows 10 on its "required page.  Dell said that it works with WIndows 7.  I'm confused.  The Adobe forums seem to suggest that Photoshop CS6 will work, so with touch screen and WIndows 10, is there something in the specifications of laptop above Dell that suggests that I'm having a problem?  Will it be buggy?  PhotoShop CS6 will work only with a mouse and not the touch screen?  Is this a problem with the video card? I can't find enough information to feel confident about ordering this Dell laptop forums.  I can go to the 7000 series with a 4 GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 960 M graphics, but I'm not a gamer.

  I recently reinstalled my laptop (64-bit) Windows 7 Pro. It has all the necessary Windows updates.

  I installed Photoshop CS6 (64 and 32-bit) and I've installed all the updates it needs.

  It will not open any JPG or RAW, .tif, .jpg, .dng and .cr2 files. Before you reinstall Windows Photoshop worked well.

  When I try to open an image file that Photoshop does not open, so the file type is associated with Photoshop, but that's all. The software is running, but it won't open the jpg or tif, and it does not open Camera Raw to display the RAW file.

  If I double-click on a new image, then a new instance of Photoshop is open, in addition to the already open instance, but still no picture.

  If I click file-open and navigate to the file it will then open in Photoshop and Camera Raw 9.1.1 and the picture shows successfully.

  Strange!

  The only thing I think currently, is that I have 2 partitions on the laptop, with C: and a D: readers, with the users folder, which is held on D. Photoshop is confused by there?   I "solved" this problem!

  It seems that Photoshop won't open these files from a Windows 7 'Library' that points to a redirected folder.

  However, if I create a mapped drive with a drive letter local, the actual path of the files, (for example \\Server\FolderRedirections\Michael\Pictures), then it works OK.

  It is a good work-round and it makes no difference to me if I use a mapped drive or library I put just one correct, in the section 'Favorites' from Windows Explorer.

  You should Image > duplicate this file to make a copy, then use the command layer > Flatten Image on the copy. Then save as a Jpeg.

  JPEG does not support layers or 32 bits per layer images, so it should be changed to 8 or 16 bpc through Image > Mode or Jpeg will not be an option.

  Unless you may not really need, keep your Photomerge layers original as a PSD in case you need to go back and fix anything.

  When CS6 who worked all of a sudden stops working correctly the first thing to do is redefined your username and all CS6 preferences of Photoshop tools.  The latest updates to the perpetual CS6 versions made November 7, 2013.

  Have reset you your CS6 tools and preferences?  Lightroom is not a Photoshop plug-in, it cannot be used in Photoshop, this is a separate product. CS6 Windows version 13.0.1.43 works on Windows 7 and Windows 10.  I've never tired it on window 8.1.

  I try to understand what I am doing wrong. I have been using PS for a week, and I noticed a REALLY annoying bug. While I'm painting, drawing, transformation, etc. I find that Photoshop loses the 'focus' in the middle of my work. Mid-race, is all of a sudden Photoshop as the application is not the main focus on the computer. What do I mean? Well, when you use a program such as FireFox, and you realize that you need an image from Photoshop (which is already open), you click on the application icon to bring it forward, or to change the "focus". This is what I have a problem with. It was not as bad, earlier, but now it happens on EVERY shot that I do. I hold the left button of the mouse down to make a stroke, I made a mistake and press Cmd + Alt + Z to undo. I can make as many shots as I need, but when I use a command keyboard or something like that, immediately the application loses focus. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong! I have to click on the Photoshop tool bar to bring the focus, and that REALLY slows down my work flow. Anyone could point out what I'm doing wrong? Is this just a bug with the version I'm using?
