Photoshop Elements 9 has stopped working

When I run the program, either the office or directly from the executable file icon, the Welcome screen initiates.  But when I choose either organize or edit, the progress bar starts, stops, then nothing more happens.  No error message, the home screen there indefinitely.  The program worked perfectly fine a few days ago.  I use Windows 8.

Also, I had a moment hellacious with your site Web 'aid' and the software that is supposed to launch an app for your support services.  He keeps trying to update, then crashes.

Glad to hear that you've got things to work. Let us know if help you more to ned.

My user is unable to save anything in Photoshop, all he gets is "Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 has stopped working".  It has the same issue in Illustrator so (photoshop is the most important issue for us).

    This is the log:

    He was 6 minutes apart.

REBIT is the failed module. Is the backup software, and it has had problems with it and Photoshop before.

Crash on Photoshop CC "save under"-is there a fix yet?

You will maybe uninstall and see if there are updates and support technique rebit for a fix.

  • Photoshop CC 2015 has stopped working

    Hello

I have a problem which seems to be snowballing in recent times. CC2015 (trial version) does not run, it gives the error message "Photoshop CC 2015 has stopped working". This happens also with Corel Painter 2015 and a few plug-ins for Photoshop, namingly "" Topaz"Impressions" 64-bit. I'm at my wits end with this one. The common factor is that they are all graphics applications, so my research has led me to believe that there is a graphics driver issue. But I've been through as many suggested fixes as I can, including running in safe mod, etc, and nothing works. I even tried to reset the prefs CC2015 trying to load up (hold SHIFT, etc.) - but not good. Here are my specs:

-Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, 16 GB of RAM

    -Motherboard: Asus Z87.-a.

-Graphics card: integrated graphics 4600 set of drivers (the most recent version has been installed - also restored to the original shipped with the motherboard CD; drivers none of them does not work)

(Infact, when I try to run the Intel driver update utility, the same error message and it won't work)

-NET Framework 4.5.2 (latest version) is installed

.. I don't know what to do at this point other that wipe out my hard drive and reinstalled Windows - something I really would rather. I have CS6 installed and it works perfectly - but it has been installed for more than a year. It seems that no recent data won't work if it's linked graphics. But my graphics drivers are current.

Someone at - he never encountered this before?

Good news: I have solved the problem, I hope that my solution works for everyone who is having this problem also.

    Fault Module name: MSVCR120.dll

the name of the file above is what seemed to be planting Photoshop CC2015.

My solution was to install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7.

For anyone having problems with similar crash, have not installed SP1, first CC2015 to uninstall, then install SP1, and then reinstall CC2015.

Good luck, I hope this works for others as well

  • Windows 8 - Photoshop CS5.1 crashes at startup. Error message: "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. »

    Hello!

I got the student version software Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium for several years now.

When I got my computer Windows 8 I installed the software without problem.

Last week when I tried to open Photoshop, I get the following error: "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. »

I disabled and uninstalled all of the Creative Suite and then reinstalled. I am able to open other programs, but still the same message for Photoshop.

    What can I do?

I found that the problem was with Nik filters I used. The filters have been messing around with Photoshop initialization. I uninstalled and reinstalled the filters and now Photoshop works like a charm.

It seems that this forum is dead?

Fortunately, I managed to solve the problems on my own and figured out the problem...

  • Cause green pixels in the clips "first elements.exe has stopped working error."

I have a PAL - jvc everio camcorder. I copied the files from the camcorder to my computer. My computer is running Vista SP1 with 2 GB of ram.

The files appear to be imported into PElements 4 However when playing or rendered clips I get an error first elements.exe adobe has stopped working.

I noticed that the clips have green pixels appear at the place where the PE crashes.  All the clips seem to have this problem.

I followed the suggestions of the basis of knowledge re: update codecs, disabling startup items, updated video driver.

I don't have the cyberlink software provided with the jvc. I bought elements of first as I had read that he would be able to read jvc files.

  • Photoshop 7.0 has stopped working.

My employer gave me a computer when they me off in 2009.  Photoshop has been loaded on the machine and has worked well for several years, but a year ago, it stopped working, I think that it cannot download the updates.  I get this message when it tries to download the updates from the start of the program:

    "File could not be downloaded.  http://cgi...tform=0DLLVer=2.8 3.3AOMVer = 2.8.3.3 an unknown internet error has occurred.  21 :-120 " "

I realize even an older version is better than nothing, but it is an older version of PS.  I am running Windows XP on a Dell desktop computer.

Well, it seems that you are right!  What happens is that after the closure of boxes, menu choices to start to work, most is ghosts, however, after reading your post I went back in PS again to test your theory.  The update has not be launched, and the menu is not ghost out.  I was able to upload a photo.  I think you're right!  It had to open a second time in a row to find out that it does not work if I just PS to close and restart the program!  I am so grateful for your help!

  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 has stopped working - Wacom_Tablet.dll

On Windows 7 SP1 with PS CC2015.1 during recovery from sleep mode, I get the message of accident below. Yesterday I installed the latest 2015.1.1update CC, but the problem persists. The last Wacom driver is installed (6.3.15.1) for my Intuos 4 tablet. The only other issue I am experiencing, is that I sometimes lose pressure sensitivity of pen, that requires a restart of the PS to restore.

I finally found the cause of the crash of Wacom_Tablet.DLL PS and other behaviors special Tablet (loss of pressure sensitivity). Apparently, the Wacom driver does not run an analysis to identify the model of connected Tablet and display an Error Message if it detects that the bad model driver is being installed. Also the model of tablet or series name is not included as part of the pilot of the file name, so there is no way to identify a bad driver download.

As sarsaxen suggested, I went for the Wacom driver download site to find a driver older. As I scroll through the multitude of different model drivers, I discovered a list model that looked different from the one used for my last update of the driver. I have an Intuos 4 and the latest downloaded driver was this topic:

    Latest drivers for current Intuos

Scroll down much further I found the model driver following registration, which is the suitable driver:

Drivers for Intuos3 (PTZ), Intuos4 (PTK), Intous5 (PTH)

The model number (or name?) is at the back of the Tablet and my Intuos 4 has the model number PTK-640. I removed all the preferences using the Wacom tablet preference file utility, uninstalled the current driver and installed the correct driver PTK for my Intuos 4. I just finished five working sessions with a standby and resume between each with No crash of PS or any other question.

sarsaxen you can notify others at Adobe about this problem because there seems to be a number of users with similar issues of Tablet Wacom. I am a 45 years, the information technology industry veteran and a long-time user of PS. If I can do this (i.e. bad driver installed) rest assured mistaken there are others with the same question. It is also important to follow the procedure:

1 delete all the files preferences using the Wacom tablet preference file utility > click Remove under all the preferences of the user.

2 uninstall the driver for the Wacom tablet.

    3 cut the tablet.

4 reboot and connect the tablet.

    5. download and install the driver appropriate for your Tablet model.
