Photosmart 3100 impression level Notification

Hello

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2 (64 bit).  I need to know if anyone can tell me which application Photosmart 3100 must be activated at the start of the computer to activate the ink level notification show every time I print.  Somehow, it has been deleted and is no longer, I get the pop up during every print job.  Thank you!

    Your other question may be better suited for the wire ink, Toner, cartridge and print head issues .

    What are your black levels? Ink colors mix together to get your desired print.

  • On 3 levels notification area icons, not one

    Suddenly, the notification area icons have been changed a line at the bottom of the screen to 3 levels, thus shortening the screen. I tried dragging them to the original format using the arrow cursor/up-and-to the bottom, but nothing would move.  I have windows XP sp3

    The task bar are now resized.  In addition to on three levels notification area icons, I noticed later sections of divider taskbar [thin line of vertical points between the 'missions'] were on 2 levels, instead of one.
    I was able to drag the low divider to the same level as that of top, [including the task].

    Then and only then, [for a reason any] did the arrow cursor/double head decide to work on the upper part of the task bar and I was able to resize.  However, I have left clicked on the mouse to drag, not right click.  Previously, I had clicked left and right click, but nothing has worked.  Now, I've locked the taskbar, so that I won't in the future.

I downloaded the drivers, which I've done it before several times, but the printer will not work correctly.     I just installed the latest drivers for a Photosmart 7260, the printer will show ink levels when printing when running on the old XP operating system.

    I can't find the old box to tools which was right click on the taskbar now on 8.1 MS.

    I tried right clicking on the icon in the control panel/devices and printers, passed through the right click menu without help.

    How can I check the ink level?

    I understand that you have problems of print quality when printing documents from your Windows 7 computer to your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. What is unusual is that the old documents are very well printing from your computer. This leads me to believe that instead of a printer problem, you encounter a computer problem as printers print only what they are "told" to the computer. That being said, I'll have you begin troubleshooting by printing a stand-alone report on the quality of your printer to make sure that all cartridges are print correctly. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.
    2. Tap the button of the ATM () next to the icon of configuration () in the lower left corner of the control panel.
    3. Press the right arrow key () and select Tools, and then tap OK.
    4. Press the right arrow key () to select Print Quality Report, then tap OK. The printer prints the report.

    • If this report prints with perfect quality of black / color: That the problem you are experiencing is not caused by your printer. On the contrary, there is something on the computer where this conflict of impression. To make sure that the printer is properly installed on your computer please can I you click here to download and run the HP print and scan of the doctor tool. This tool will run on your computer and the "difficulty of printing" questions for you. If connection, software or driver conflicts turns out that the HP print and scan of the doctor tool will attempt to resolve these conflicts for you.
    • If this report is printed with poor print quality: That the problem you are having is caused by your printer. To fix this problem of print quality can you please click here.     Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you can not print in color or black ink on your HP Photosmart 5515.

    Please note: there are three stages of print head cleaning. Three steps if necessary. If the print head is badly clogged, it may require another round of cleaning. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last step of cleaning (third) to start the first stage of the cleanup process.

    If you are unable to print in black ink, I think that the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. You can contact HP Technical Support at the following link:

    (1) once the page opens, please select the country in which you are located. Then enter your model of HP on the right number.

    (4) Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Get a phone number." A file number and telephone number will now fill for you.

    Only one set of basic pilot is available for Windows 8.1, the HP Solution Center is not available for your printer on the operating system, so you cannot check the ink level of the HP software for your current operating system.

  • Vista Patch Duplex Photosmart 3100/3200/3300 Series

    Some models of printer with automatic duplexer print incorrectly on the back in Vista.  In these models on the back is printed updside down regardless of the driver configuration.

    The attached zip file is a patch and instructions to fix this problem for the following printers:

    I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 OS. Your website says D6160 drivers are already installed but apparently without the functionality of viewing ink levels. The printer will not print because the ink light indicates a cartridge is empty, but I have no way of knowing that one to replace. I am not prepared to replace all at great expense and be faced with the same situation again. What I really need to buy another printer or is there another solution?

    RnRMusicman: run HPPSdr - the test page printed in black only, but when I changed the default printer setting color the color print and subsequent test print from files also printed in color without any error message, so problem seems to have been resolved.

    I've just upgraded to a new iMAc OS X 10.11 El Capitan running. Not surprsingly my printer Photosmart 6520 wouldn't print after implementation of the new system. I followed the instructions online and downloaded the latest software of printer driver on the HP site. I noted that it was for the previous OS Mavericks. Downloaded and installed successfully and everything seemed in order. However, I am still not able to print a simple word document. In the utility dialog box printer, I get the message that the print is "order - incapable of start-up session, result = - 10, 1 page'."  Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Note, this is not a problem with thewireless network I can print documents in online test on the HP support site.

    After having in vain with all previous attempts, the problem of the printer was resolved yesterday by downloading the OS X, El Capitan 10.11.2 software was last updated.

    Although not specifically mentioning any improvements put to date regarding printing, it solved my problem as soon as the update has been installed.

    If anyone else is having problems printing to an HP printer, you use El Capitan, and even download the latest printer driver software, update of El Capitan would be following procedure I would recommend.
