Photosmart 475 ink HP 100 gray

Hi all

I want to print some pictures black and white on my printer with the HP 100 grey cartridge 475, but before I go and buy the cartridge does anyone have experience using it?

Do I need my photo in black and white/black and white, print in black and white/grayscale or just leave the settings as they are and simply print?

Thanks a lot for any help

The printer will automatically convert the image to B & W when the 100 HP cartridge is installed.  You can leave the settings as they are.

There is a hidden menu support with a reset replacement procedure that can help: power on, press both the # and * buttons.  The screen should say something like "enter the special sequence".  Currently, press 1 then 2 then 3 which will bring up a menu of support.  Use of the < and=""> the arrow keys to navigate the menu that says "Hardware reset" or some similar.   Once reset the hardware has been selected, press OK, OK.  Once it is finished press Cancel (X) to move up one level in the menu, then scroll down to find "ink initialization", then press OK.

This model has a permanent printheads which cannot be deleted (or replaced). Unfortunately, I didn't know all the solutions beyond the reset of the printer, if the option is to fix the printer.

As you have noted, it is not likely to be economic for this model.  If contact you HP they may offer a discount on a printer replacement, although I've seen people indicate that careful shopping can beat the discount price of HP.  AFAIK there is that no HP models currently use fixed print heads, these have replaceable user in current models.

The "abnormal termination" message will occur any time the printer has an error with a code (0 x.rror) assert condition.  At this point, the confused printer and do not realize that the power to close properly.

  • HP Photosmart D7360 ink system failure error: 0xc18a0206

I tried to print a doc then do not use this printer for over a year. The ink system failure message appeared when I turned on the printer, so I replaced all the old cartridges with new ones. The message persists, and I can not print even a sample or Test page. My page to print remains in the queue. I tried to reset several times with the method of disposal of recommended power cord. Always with the same result, ink system failure error: 0xc18a0206. This machine is maybe just too old. After spending over $ 100.00 on new cartridges that would be very disappointing. I use a Sony Vaio under Windows 7 Home Premium laptop, but since I can't print a test or sample, according to me, that question must be in the printer.  I'm holding off on the sledge hammer method for now. Help, please.

    Hey hphippie,

I see that you are faced with an ink system failure error code on your Photosmart D7360.  Looks like that sitting for a while can be brought to shame in the printer.  I recommend following the steps outlined in the document below link for troubleshooting an ink system failure error code.

  • HP Photosmart 5520 ink carriage move

My husband recently bought a HP Photosmart 5520 printer while overseas, it was mailed to me and he always tells me that one or more of the cartledges ink are broken or missing and should be replaced, but when I up open transport of ink access door won't move at all and I cannot even make it move using my hands help Please?

My cartridge was blocked completely to the right, could not move at all. After having much jiggling autour and try to pull to the left the transport kind of jumps down a little more inside to the right.  I tried to pull it to the left, but he was stuck again as something he was blocking, and it came to the top when I shot more difficult.  I messed with it to the point where the transport jumped down, and then I plugged the printer in and it worked very well. I know not what was wrong with it exactly, but it seemed to fix it

  • Photosmart 5520: ink exhausted too fast

Photosmart 5520, I bought 4 months ago. Initially impressed. He ran out of black ink in double quick time. I concluded that HP half filled cartridges supplied with the printer. I put in a new black cartridge and is also sold out, already. Both should print 500 pages! It's a ream of paper. I know that I don't have something like this amount of paper used and would guess that I used less than 150 sheets, some in color. This is unacceptable. One has a similar experience or know what to do?

Thanks Shlomi. It looks like this. But as a realistic customer returns are important rather than those that manufacturers choose advantageously, to quote. In addition, let's say that my impression is 50/50 color/black and white. Who is llikely averaged over several months. Since the color returns are 300 pages and 250 black. Then 2xblack cartridges should finally basket 600 to 1000 pages and 1xcolour. I guess that the number of pages is not make the difference between color and b & w.
All cartridges now show low and it does not print anything. So 5 cartridges total allowed me to print of 365 pages. I think it is very very poor. 10 p per page is ridiculous in my opinion. I use photosmart for a further period of 6 months and then throw to a more economic type. My old Epsom was much better and still works. No Wi - Fi tho. I can come back

  • Photosmart 7260: Ink levels 7260

    Hello

I just installed the latest drivers for a Photosmart 7260, the printer will show ink levels when printing when running on the old XP operating system.

I can't find the old box to tools which was right click on the taskbar now on 8.1 MS.

I tried right clicking on the icon in the control panel/devices and printers, passed through the right click menu without help.

How can I check the ink level?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

  • Problem installing HP Photosmart C4780 ink cartridge

I just installed new ink cartridge in my HP Photosmart C4780. I ran the test cleaning and alignment and my

print is fine except that everything is obscured. What I forget? Thank you very much!

    Hi CherylBean,

    (1) what a filled cartridge or a new cartridge?
    (2) who is the operating system installed on your computer?
    (3) did you change on your computer recently?

This usually occurs because of three reasons-

    (a) if cartridge is defective.
    (b) the ink and toner levels are not suitable.
    (c) If fuser on the printer is broken.

You can try to remove the cartridge and the seat of again.

    Method 1-

You need to check the ink and toner levels cartridge.
To do this, you must refer to the article mentioned below.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-change-my-ink-or-toner-levels

Note: you can use the link mentioned above just for reference, if it does not apply to your operating system.

    Method 2-

You should post your question in the forums of HP support and contact HP support for help.
To do this, you can check the below link-

    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/ - HP support forums.

    http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html - Support HP

In addition, you can see the article mentioned below that addresses a similar issue-

Note: the printer described in the article mentioned above is of a different model. But it applies to your printer as well.

    Hope this helps!

  • PhotoSmart 7525: PhotoSmart 7525 ink black, leaking and do not print.

I had the PhotoSmart 7525 for 1.5 years, no problem, I was aware until today.  I have installed all new cartridges - 5 of all colors.  Black did not simply print.  I cleaned up and align the cartridges.  I put a second new black cartridge.  (Finally), I looked into the place of rest and discovered all the area covered with black ink fresh.  I have not seen any evidence of any other color.  There is no ink elsewhere inside the printer.  I think that I can get cleaned, but ideas is what is the problem and how to fix it?

I suggest you the troubleshooting steps in the document I linked above. Be sure to check the vents.  If you clear the vents does not solve the problem, then soak the print head can solve the problem.

  • without the Photosmart 5510 ink cartridges Control Panel cannot be accessed

I have a Photosmart 5510 which has no ink cartridge. My intention is to use it to scan only, and I would like to be able to set up wireless. When I turn on the printer, the control panel displays this: "problem of ink cartridges.  One or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged. Install or replace the affected cartridges. »

The wireless button or the ePrint button cause anything to appear on the control panel and there is no other options, such as cancel or continue.

Is there a way to go beyond this message of ink cartridges without installing cartridges?

    Hello

In general, I'm afraid the answer is no, as a multifunction device, it requires the ink required to operate the device but there are of the workarounds you can try.

That there is a problem with one or more of the ink cartridges should be sorted first, the control panel will not answer while the device is in an error state.

You try to use the computer temporarily plugging in a USB port on the printer.

If the printer is recognized by the PC in such a State, let it finish its configuration and open the software HP Photosmart 5510.

Open the utilities tab and click on Setup & software printer, then click on convert USB to wireless and follow the steps on your PC.

If this success then run a scan of your PC use.

If it is not detected, which is likely to be affected by the error status of the device, such you will solve the problem first.

You can follow these steps to solve a problem of cartridge if necessary:

    Kind regards

  • Photosmart C4780: Ink cartridges does not

I have a Photosmart C4780 printer which I am putting in place. It is connected and 'impression', even if nothing appears.  When I try to print the alignment page that nothing comes up except for 2 tiny small black lines the top of the page. Makes me think that the ink cartridges are not defective. When I tried to print the alignment page, looks like it's something printing, but nothing is there.  I tried troubleshooting and turn the printer off and on again to redo the alignment exercise. Someone at - it advice?

Hi there, how old are the supplies you use? I'll assume that you have checked that the ink levels from the Panel before or through the printer software and its showing that there is little ink in the cartridges.  If the printer has been lying idle for awhile with the inserted cartridges they can become crust around the nozzles. You mention that you have tried troubleshooting, you run the automated tool to clean the cartridges? I included here a link to the document to support troubleshooting for print quality problems. Scroll down to step 6 of Solution 6 (just below the images in the print quality report) and follow the steps there. If this does not work, proceed to step 7 which explains how to clean the surface of the nozzle of the cartridges.

I hope that this information helps to get the problem solved.

  • Photosmart B109n-z printer: printer HP Photosmart Wireless B109n-z-horizontal gray stripes on a black background

My printer has started to produce printing black ink poor quality despite the change of cartridges and all other things related quality control. Black text is periodic display faded horizontal lines with sharp text blurry. All switches quality of ink have been increased to the highest quality without result.

The Test page shows no problem with black type face being perfectly crisp and clear and colours print normally.

The diagnostic test page horizontal gray bands shows in the black print ONLY. See below. Is it a matter of change, printing headed into black ink?

    Thank you

    Hi Chatsworth52,

Sorry to hear that none of the steps has helped solve this problem.

Most likely the print head needs to be replaced, but no guarantee that will fix this problem either.

  • Photosmart 3310 ink system failure

My printer is about 2 years old and I got a 'Ink system failure' report, error 0xc18a0305. I did the 4 steps that HP told me to do (unplug, restart it, etc...) but still nothing. Someone at - it ideas? If she ever needs service, who can I call? Help.

    Thank you

My HP Photosmart gave me the same error even if the first error was a mistake of carriage return.  It has no jam or carriage jam.  After clearing this error, I received a second error.

Ink system failure.  Oxc18a0001.  I tried to reset the printer several times using the OK, cancel, black, color button.  It does not clear the error the first two times I tried the reset.  I removed all the ink cartridges and I discovered that one of the ink cartridges is empty despite the ink gauge, saying it was full.

I replaced the empty ink cartridge and reset the printer.  It worked.  Then failed because a different ink cartridge is low on ink.  By replacing the second ink cartridge and reset that the printer again seems to solve the problem.
