Photosmart 7520/7525: Photosmart 7520/7525 black color cartridge with the symbol "bow tie".

As I saw all these messages on the ridiculous to have several black cartridges and there is a CONFIGURATION and one is an XL...  I get it.  Many have asked the question: what should I do when the cartridge INSTALLATION reports that it is out of ink.

I was disappointed by the answers... so here are my concerns:

  • None of the replacement HP 564 ink beams come with the cartridge SETUP/bowtie.
  • It seems that the printer is printer normally even if the Bowtie cartridge runs out of ink.

What the hell, this is the purpose of the cartridge SETUP/bowtie?  Initially, I assumed it was recessary for the 'photo finish' - gloss, whatever.

Does anyone have a difinitive for these questions answer:

  1. The printer requires a cartridge full of bowtie.
  2. What EXACTLY is the function of the said cartridge.

I don't think that, as the owner of this printer, these are unreasonable questions to ask.

Any who - HP employee or otherwise, please respond to this request if you are able (without guessing or applicant).

Thank you.

Hey @bvolt,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are curious about the ink system the 7520 Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer Series. I would like to advise you on this.

The following excerpt of the article from an article by HP on installation ink should give you a better idea of the purpose of cartridges of configuration:

Can I use black ink cartridges into the two slots? HP Photosmart C4795 - no color, to save money?

    Hey JJ - B,.

You cannot use a black cartridge in both slots. The print head channels are different for print 3 colors in a slot vs only black print out on each other. Using black in the two slots certaining most will cause errors and possibly damage the printer.

Is there a reason you want to run the two blacks to be with? You can still print with only the back cartridge installed.

    Good luck!

  • Photosmart 7520: Must the Photosmart HP 7520 TWO black ink cartridges (complete and installed) to work?

    Hello

I read a few threads where people are struggling with the question of black ink with this printer. These threads, it seems clear that HP didn't design this system very well, and I would tend to agree. Even if someone said I could find the cartridge (bowtie) smaller at Staples, I can't find it. Even if I could find it, I don't want to have 2 kinds of ink black to store all the time. And my printer does not print black with only a new XL Black 564 installed. Is there a setting I'm missing in the menu where I can choose the XL cartridge only? The manual is not clear on this, and I think it's something that should be clearly explained.

My question is simple, and please, one who answers, read my questions and do not provide a generic incomplete response and then put a little check mark 'Resolved' next to this problem. With 3 wires, that I read on this subject, the question NOT yet resolved or fully explained.

The printer may be used and black printing using only the right XL cartridge or do I need to have both complete and installed black cartridges to work? And a follow-up, the left cartridge (bowtie) should stay there so he works or can I remove it and keep filling the cartridge XL to go forward with the empty to the left slot. If you work for HP and you are reading this and 100% do not know the answer... call someone at HP who has designed this printer and know please let me know.

    Thank you!

The printer requires all cartridges having ink - they don't need to be full, but they all need to be installed and have adequate ink.  The thick black cartridge is pigmented black, mainly used for text and graphics on paper.  Thinner bowtie is the photo cartridge.  It contains dye black ink based and is designed for printing on photo paper.  Black pigmented ink is not compatible with the glossy photo media, black of the photo will be used in cases where the photo paper is selected in the driver or detected automatically.

The Photosmart 7520 has separated from the inks and printheads, with plumbing to connect.  All inks must be present to prevent air intake in the plumbing or the print heads and keep the printheads from clogging.  See here for more information on using ink.

  • HP Photosmart more B210A: black ink cartridge will not print.

The black ink will print on my printer.  I installed new ink and cleaned the print heads.  I did a review of the printer and the ink of color appeared only.  The printer is recognizing the cartridge when I check the ink levels.  The first page after cleaning came out very faint then anything.  At first, I thought that the new black ink cartridge was defective.  So I replaced it with another new - no difference.

The only change is that I have installed all new cartridges when all printing has become very low.

    Help, please.  Thank you.

Fushing did not work, however, we used a demo on Utube and has not used the distlled water.  That could be the problem. The printer is about 8 years old, we decided to get a new one.  Thank you very much for your help.

  • How can I get my printer to use just the color cartridge for the black & white you are exhausted?

Whenever my on my dell printer black ink cartridge runs out, I'm generally left with a color cartridge, which is a total waste of money, because they are purchased together in a common case; is it possible that I can tell my printer to switch to the color cartridge and use that one until 'she' runs?

I did a search for authentic cartridges, not refurbished which are cheaper, but not as reliable and these are just a few options, I found. Check the cartridge number I've seen series 2 and no 5. But whatever it is, they are there.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309 printer needs help with the iPad

    Hello

I'm a bit confused about what printers are supported by the new AirPrint Apple via the iPad.

I have a so-called ePrinter Wireless: HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m, which can not be found on iPad by Airprint.

This printer is using the Airprint?

List of HP a Photosmart Premium e - AiO (B310), but I'm not sure if it is the same printer and what vs B310 C309 printer same or different?

If my C309 actually supported Airprint - why it doesn't work with Airprint?

C309 is not supported - will be when it happens and how?

    concerning

    Michael Iversen

We can always use c309g printer with the iPad. All what we need to do is install HP iPrint app iPad and use it to print as the printer must be connected wireless.

    Hi Paulawagner,

    ·         What operating system is installed on your computer?

    ·         What is the brand and model of the printer?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Please answer the following questions so that we offer in addition to the steps to solve the problem of troubleshooting.

First of all, make sure that the color cartridge/toner is not empty or blocked.

You may have accidentally changed the print options that caused the problem.

  • Startup problem: first black-wallpaper appears with the logo, and then the screen goes to the Microsoft screen with green moving bar "Please wait".

My computer is having problems loading the main office. I start it up, the first black-wallpaper with the logo is displayed, then the screen goes to the Microsoft screen with the green bar of movement. After that, the Windows logo appears and makes the sound. A new screen will appear with a "start-up Fund" and he said: "Please wait...". "This form of lasting about 5 to 8 minutes, then the text disappears, with only the bottom upward. I left it sitting there on the blank screen for about 20 minutes, and still nothing changes. I tried Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and shows nothing. Finally restart manually, but the same problem occurs. The only way that this works is in Mode safe mode with networking (which is currently used). I also tried the system restore, but this does not work because by default it must go through the same problematic steps, as mentioned previously.

    Hi ninja_panda13,

-Remember to make changes to your computer after that this problem started to happen?

As you are able to boot mode safe mode with networking, put your computer in a clean boot state in order to verify if any third-party application is causing this problem.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See KB Microsoft article below for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7:How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • How to use Adobe color cc with the help of Illustrator?

    hhijacks

I am able to see my color themes in the libraries Panel in illustrator, but I can not add to my color chart to use their help!

The only way to do that in Illustrator, currently, is to place your themes of color on top of the canvas and then create a color group using the tool group of colors in the palette swatches. I created a video to show how this can be done.

  • Black CC530A cartridge with 3500 performance only printed 2614 pp, 2200 which were pages address

The first 414 pages we printed on this cartridge were what I would call medium-sized pages filled with text.  The next 2200 addresses were printed on an area about 2 inches square, one to a page (we were informed address info on pre-printed forms).  I think that with such use of pages per minute overall performance would have been much, much higher, at least the 3500 announced.  I feel rather jipped and frustrated.

Looks like I'm a full year toward the end of the display, but I hope it's still useful.

First of all, I may ask you a stupid question: are you sure that you are using a spare cartridge or a start-up cartridge supplied with the printer?  Although yields on the secondary market is 3500 ISO pages, opening pages of returns ISO 1200.

In both cases, a key point to consider is that the color cartridges can reach the State of "repalce" a number of reasons.  The manifesto is the toner is exhausted.  However there are other parts of the cartridge that wears out, and so the printer stops the cartridge when he thinks that these parts are worn.  This is discussed in depth at the following URL:

    http://www.HP.com/pageyield/en-019/articles/howTonerIsUsed.html?cCode=us

Because your cover looks like it is very low, I guess that your replacement message was given due to the wear of other parts cartridge.  The mechanisms that will accelerate that print job small sizes.  Plus size jobs, less wear per page which will be the cartridge.

Another suggestion: you can always put the printer in substitution via the control panel: System configuration--> print quality--> Stop at the OUT--> Overrides the value Out.

In doing so, realize that your print quality will deteriorate later and there was no notice from the printer to happen.  Also be aware that the guarantee of the cartridge is NULL at this point.

    Hope that helps.

Although I am an employee of HP, tips and suggestions that above are mine.

  • Color change with the dough

Something that I have never met before: when I copy a page (in a single file of Muse) to another, that of master pages and content pages, turning and the mouse States change color (and always the same color).

Very disruptive. Why we do this and how then I get Muse to honor the settings that I try to stick?

    Hi Eric,.

I finally solved the problem by rebuilding the page. I have still no idea what caused the problem, but trashed from the file.

    Thank you

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210A black ink cartridge will not print

I have an HP B210A Photosmart printer. Windows 8 operating system.  Recently, I replaced all ink cartridges, Black XL.

Now the black does not print.  The printer recognizes the ink is there but not print during a test, as the other three colors.  I went back to store & exchanged the cartridge for me even if I had bought all four colors together.  Installed the new one and it still does not work.  Has gone through the process of the online help where they want me to buy an another print head, but that doesn't make sense to me.  The products are HP, ink # 564.

I wouldn't get rid of this product because of it.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Of course, out of warranty.

    Hi PaulieG,

I understand that you have a Photosmart B210a printer that is printing is no longer black. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you with this problem.

I recommend you all first that you have a look at this print quality paper to ensure that no steps have been omitted in this document. You can also try the steps outlined in this document 'Print head problem' or "Print head seems to be missing or corrupt" Message appears on the computer to clean your print head manually. Then, in a last effort, if these steps do not help, you can also try a suggestion from Bob_Headrick to soak your printhead.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!
