Black CC530A cartridge with 3500 performance only printed 2614 pp, 2200 which were pages address

The first 414 pages we printed on this cartridge were what I would call medium-sized pages filled with text.  The next 2200 addresses were printed on an area about 2 inches square, one to a page (we were informed address info on pre-printed forms).  I think that with such use of pages per minute overall performance would have been much, much higher, at least the 3500 announced.  I feel rather jipped and frustrated.

Looks like I'm a full year toward the end of the display, but I hope it's still useful.

First of all, I may ask you a stupid question: are you sure that you are using a spare cartridge or a start-up cartridge supplied with the printer?  Although yields on the secondary market is 3500 ISO pages, opening pages of returns ISO 1200.

In both cases, a key point to consider is that the color cartridges can reach the State of "repalce" a number of reasons.  The manifesto is the toner is exhausted.  However there are other parts of the cartridge that wears out, and so the printer stops the cartridge when he thinks that these parts are worn.  This is discussed in depth at the following URL:

http://www.HP.com/pageyield/en-019/articles/howTonerIsUsed.html?cCode=us

Because your cover looks like it is very low, I guess that your replacement message was given due to the wear of other parts cartridge.  The mechanisms that will accelerate that print job small sizes.  Plus size jobs, less wear per page which will be the cartridge.

Another suggestion: you can always put the printer in substitution via the control panel: System configuration--> print quality--> Stop at the OUT--> Overrides the value Out.

In doing so, realize that your print quality will deteriorate later and there was no notice from the printer to happen.  Also be aware that the guarantee of the cartridge is NULL at this point.

Hope that helps.

Although I am an employee of HP, tips and suggestions that above are mine.

All of a sudden my printer does not print any black.  I have cleaned the print head (by using tools of the printer), came out of the cartridge and shook to see if he has really ink in it (printer says that it is complete), and it spend it.  The printer has been used regularly - it's not dry.  I tried to print the "status report" and the only thing that prints is the ink supply photos.  The thick black cartridge shows nothing, as if the cartridge is empty.  Can anyone help?

    Hi all

my HP Photosmart Premium C309a was partially by printing in black and white only, when black has failed. I thought that the startup ink level may have been wrong on the front panel, so I bought a new black ink cartridge. Same problem and so I found this forum. I did a clean cartridge and the black began to work again. It is certainly a matter of keep an eye, and not one I am happy to know. My printer is only 1 month.

  • HP brand new 4620 Officejet black ink cartridge and it won't print black at all the

Hello, my printer has failed recently more ink. So I bought a set of cartridges to Staples. I installed them and ran the print head cleaning function. I now have the great color and BLACK NO. I ran to repeatedly print head cleaning function. Its so frustrating to monitor printers the past 2 decades range from reliable gains to unreliable everything in the financial goal. I've had printers since the 1980s, I used printers when they came with the ribbons, who hardly could, although they can indeed dry. At least when they dry out, you would be able to put a new one in and continue. Now that they have designed replaceable print heads (because they were made knowing that they will fail), ink cartridges that are not interchangeable (knowing that once you got with the printer model, you can most likely switch to another brand or model) that uses a DIFFERENT model ink cartridge. All for finacial gain. Between my office and home, I lived 4 printers in the past 2 years. I've been a loyal fan of Lexmark, until my old died and I bought a new, the first thing I noticed was the variable print head and I thought, uh oh, that is going to fail and so said, so done, within 3 months of using the printer, Lexmark sent me 2 print heads and 2 series of inks of replacement free of charge. I still have a set of ink and print head because the LCD screen turned white, lol. Had to throw it away. Eventually move to HP that I believe is made in the same factory as Lexmarks after comparison of many models. Now I have the newest HP to my office and its been so far great and SUPERB ink usage, PREVIOUSLY. I'm almost afraid to know what my future has in store. I know that I fell in a field off-topic, BUT HP, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF yourself. I have now lost $60 on a new series of cartridges and will most likely need a new printer since my warranty has expired. SMH. Bad business!

A representative has in fact contact me to rectify the situation, even if my unit is out of warranty period. I really appreciate the effort. Kudos to HP.

  • Label PSC1410V - ups HP is only printing on 1/4 of the page and can not understand why

I tried to print a ups label to return an element from zappos, I do quite often and never have a problem.  However, today when I tried to print, the label came out only 1/4 the size it is usually.  I've tried everything I can think of and I am just frustrated terrily.  Help, please.

    Hello Msjan,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you are trying to print a UPS shipping label, but it will only print 1/4 across the PSC 1410. What is the operating system you are printing from Windows or Mac?

You print the shipping outside the Web label? If Yes, what web browser are you using, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. It would be a good idea to try to use another browser on the computer.

Are you able to save ups label your computer as one. PDF, printing, it can work in this way as a work-around.

    See you soon,.

  • Photosmart 7520/7525: Photosmart 7520/7525 black color cartridge with the symbol "bow tie".

As I saw all these messages on the ridiculous to have several black cartridges and there is a CONFIGURATION and one is an XL...  I get it.  Many have asked the question: what should I do when the cartridge INSTALLATION reports that it is out of ink.

I was disappointed by the answers... so here are my concerns:

    • None of the replacement HP 564 ink beams come with the cartridge SETUP/bowtie.
    • It seems that the printer is printer normally even if the Bowtie cartridge runs out of ink.

What the hell, this is the purpose of the cartridge SETUP/bowtie?  Initially, I assumed it was recessary for the 'photo finish' - gloss, whatever.

Does anyone have a difinitive for these questions answer:

    1. The printer requires a cartridge full of bowtie.
    2. What EXACTLY is the function of the said cartridge.

I don't think that, as the owner of this printer, these are unreasonable questions to ask.

Any who - HP employee or otherwise, please respond to this request if you are able (without guessing or applicant).

    Thank you.

    Hey @bvolt,

I see that you are curious about the ink system the 7520 Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer Series. I would like to advise you on this.

The following excerpt of the article from an article by HP on installation ink should give you a better idea of the purpose of cartridges of configuration:

What happens if you print without an envelope making part of the document?

What happens if you use Wordpad?

To be honest with you, that sounds like the margins set for the envelope affects the entire document. You may need to separate the envelope in the document so that it can print correctly. Let me know what you find?

If I do not include the envelope that the document prints normally.

OK, before I answered that I opened a new document, established an envelope and added a line of text and print.  He printed perfectl

In 2007, I tried reformatting the margins of envelopes, announcement issues, etc.  I'm not a novice and I know that Word allows the envelopes attached because I saved letters with envelopes for years.  I thought I tried everything in the book, including the upgrade! Apparently there was something in my master's letter that was wrong; Although while I was still in 2007 I did what I just did and nothing has changed.

Go figure!  It works now and I will never understand why my past tries to fix it failed. but it is useless at this point.

  • HP Deskjet 1000 J110: Intense black print with the black ink cartridge only

    Hello

I am trying to print the darkest possible black, but simply by using the black ink cartridge. How do I get there?

My printer is HP deskjet 1000 J110 using cartridge HP 301.

I do my drawing in Adobe Illustrator and set the color to be CMYK 100 100 100 100.

If I insert only the black cartridge, the printer will leave empty place where color CMY ink should be or it will fill the space with black ink?

Basically, what I'm trying to do is to increase the density of ink to the highest possible but only using only the black cartridge.

    Thank you.

There is no problem with color printing and the problem started only today. The black cartridge is certainly compatible with this printer as it had been good working with it so far.

We bought this printer less than a year ago now.

Ink cartridge information after doing all the recommendations of HP:

Once you check the vents turn the cartridge and check the underside near the opening of the ink.  They can be of four plastic tabs near the opening are resurrected.  Make sure that the raised tabs are removed and made flush with the body of the cell.  This will cause the cartridge do not do sit properly in all of the print head and cause air that are expected.  This will affect especially the black ink cartridge.

  • HP Photosmart C309a does not print after I installed new black ink cartridge.

Printer was working fine until I replaced the black ink cartridge.
Does not print the text in black on the printer test page.
The States new HP printer installed cartridge.
All other colors are working well and were replaced at the same time.
Tried cleaning cartridges - pulling the cartridge and put back in - turning the printer off and on again.
Also tried to restart the computer.
Could there be a problem with the ink cartridge itself?

REAL SOLUTION. I had the same experience, spent hours pulling my hair like children had project do to school and it was 22:00.  Your cart is clogged! Here IS THE SOLUTION! (: 1) remove all ink cartridges. (2) extract the carriage that circulate in the ink cartridges by lever on the right and the trolley lifting vertically. (3) wipe any accumulation of visible ink on the outside with clean cloth or paper towel. (4) THIS IS THE KEY: keep transport under hot running water to empty all the handwritten entries in the irrigation channels that distribute ink. Keep rinsing in clear water i.e. no sign of ink. (5) trolley dry with clean cloth and blowing in areas, you can access in order to remove the remains of the water. (6) let transport air-dry overnight. (7) Re-install transport, then reinstall the ink cartridges. 8) ENJOY YOUR PRINTER. (9) I saw many entries on this topic dating back two years, without real solution offered. I am an automotive engineer in unemployment. If HP (or anyone else) would like to hire a smart worker, engineer in the Detroit area, please inform. Thank you!

  • E709 only prints blank pages

I recently installed a new black ink cartridge and now I only get blank pages when you try to print or copy.

    OS - Windows 7 64 bit

I went through all the 9 steps of the Guide Solution HP with no positive results.

If the unit fails to produce ink when copying, then it narrows the hunt down to the hardware itself of the printer.

You did to be sure that the printer has been able to align with success? When a cartridge is changed the printer normally performs a process of alignment. At this successful?

So, follow the steps in the document located here. The document will guide you through checking the cartridges for a good evacuation, ink levels and automatic cleaning options.

If the steps in the document do not address the issue, then it is a problem in the print head or of printer ink system.
    * We can try the workaround provided in this thread.
    * You can buy a new printhead for HP parts store using the CN643a part number.
    * You can buy a new printer.

    I hope this helps.

  • Unable to print black and white with an empty cartridge

My printer will not print not black-and-white, except when a color cartridge is replaced empty.

How can I print black with an empty color in place cartridge?

Some IIC (individual ink cartridge) printers have print heads that require ink available for periodic maintenance tasks. This avoids problems with hooves in the print head and the bad print quality. The following printers are unable to print when a cartridge is empty, even if the other cartridges.

If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not empty and you want to minimize the use of color ink, you can change the settings in the HP software to print in black ink only (grey levels). Even if you change the print settings to print in black ink only, the other ink cartridges still have ink in them so that the printer to print.

If you choose to print in black ink only, the printer always uses small amounts of ink from all cartridges for occasional maintenance tasks. HP recommends to replace the low ink cartridges in order to avoid any interruption in printing.

  • Photosmart 5510d series: after change of type black ink cartridge only prints outline

Weird - I put new ink cartridges in all slots (for black I used a size XL cartridge, regular size for CMY), and now the printer described all text in all applications. As a solution, I have enregistrer save to PDF, open the pdf in photoshop, creating a bitmap and print that. Crazy!

Mixes with the size of the cartridge a problem, or is this something else? (picture shows the line of text 1, text "converted to outlines" line 2) Black pixelated text prints well.)

Everything is ok now and I have nothing to remedy. Just printed a test of all the types of fonts that I have in Suitcase Fusion via Photoshop and they all printed solids. I tried Indesign and Illustrator and they solid black text print very well. I tried Acrobat Pro and fine print PDF files. Have you seen the images I posted with black text in a fine structure? Applications that did. Weird.

Maybe it is worth to post my initial response you just in case that happens to someone else.

Here's what's happening: the black is printing if I bitmap from photoshop. If I print from another application, such as indesign or pdf, when you print a font, or even a border, the printer creates an outline around him and which prints. On the test image I posted, I put the word test in C, M, Y, K to see if that would happen with others. Only black.

That's why I used the work around saving documents in pdf format, then opening the pdf file in photoshop that pixelated it. Then I can print a document with black text.

As if by magic, better now, thanks for your time.
