Photosmart C4380 - wireless connection stops my wi fi connection

Hello

I have a problem with my Photosmart C4380 wireless. In recent weeks, I have a new router from fi wi for internet connection. The problem starts if I want to print a document: if I connect to the printer my Internet stops. In addition, if the document to print is a picture it is all purple but I don't know if it's a question of color or if it is because the problem of connection. When I put the memory card directly into the printer, I could see a picture printed even if had still some purple color in it.

Anyway, my first problem to resolve is the connection problem. How can I make two connections (PC to the printer) and PC to the router work together?

-Operating system: Vista Edition Home Premium - Service pack 2

-Wireless (PC to the printer) and PC to the router

-Do not get the error message. Just to lose internet connection

I hope you can help me because I don't really know what to do.

Thank you in advance,

Good bye

Fabio

You said you have a connection Printer to PC and PC to Router. That is not how this printer should be connected. There are two types of home network connectivity No.1 Wired network is ethernet cable from printer to router. You should also have an ethernet connection from the router to the pc. In this type of connection the router is called the access point which enables communication wireless from a wireless capable device like a Laptop. The printer is now on a wired network No.2 Then there is purely wireless - no wires involved. By the way, a USB connection is not a wired connection. USB is independant and has nothing to do with home networking. As far as I know, this printer uses a usb cable for wireless installation only. While installing the printer select wireless and continue. The printer will not be found, click continue and you should be prompted to temporarily connect a USB cable. When device discovery is complete you will be prompted to remove the USB cable. Then the installation will test the wireless connection and that should complete the installation. I would suggest a complete uninstall using level 3 uninstall found on cd or download files Util\CCC\uninstall L_3, Do Not use L_4. This doc c01122127 found at HP.com has a video showing screen shots during the install process I have described above.
Good Luck

We recently purchased a Cisco RV120W wireless router and now we can´t connect our wireless Photosmart C4380 printer.

If I remove the USB cable and try again, the installation continues and Announces: 'printer found – connected to the LAN' - but in the end: "Printer installation is not complete" - aurgh!

Can someone help us we are frustrated.

    Greetings Jens Ove and Helge

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with this device.  However, I would search in the areas of networks, VPN and security.

You want to be sure of not having active VPN and also look for implementing isolation.

  • Need help with Photosmart C4795 Wireless Connection

What I have: HP Photosmart C4795

What I use: Macbook OSX 10.9.5, wireless network with WEP security, running, I'm not sure if I have WPS or not (don't know how to say or use it)

Problem: I used it as a wireless printer without problem for the past five years.  Recently, I moved and cannot find out how to configure the wireless connection.  USB connection works fine.  I still have the installation software, and as far as I can tell, it is updated (I'm not positive however.)  When I run the HP Installation Wizard, I've got to the point where I select "Set up for wireless" and the HP installation wizard crashes every time.  I scoured the forums and have found conflicting advice about this problem.  Someone please give me a clear answer. is there something I can do to get the job of wireless or no wireless capability is no longer works with Mac OS x 10.8 or superior?

Ah ha! I thought about it.  For anyone who uses an ATT Uverse router, maybe that's your problem.  My router is a NVG589 of Arris.  I don't know about other routers, but I guess that's the same thing.  These routers are capable of WPS, but their default settings have the WPS is off.

    You have to

1 access to the properties of your router via a web browser (Safari, Internet Exploere, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) to the address http://192.168.1.254/mdc
"2 click on 'Edit your settings or wireless security'", you will need the code printed at the bottom of your router.
    3. turn on the 'Wireless Protected Setup (WPS)'

From there, you should be able to follow the Setup instructions for printers WPS enabled found here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02273853

This next set of instructions is specifically for anyone who has a Mac and running the version OS x 10.9 or higher.  (If you don't know how to check this, click on the apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen.  Select "About this Mac" a box will appear with the information of OS x).

    Select Mac OS X.

Select the third option OSX v10.10 Yosemite, Mavericks Xv10.9 OS and OS X v10.9 Mountain Lion.

Select Option 1: Wireless Installation (EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT CONNECTED VIA USB.)

Skip the second step and proceed directly to step three.

Select the second method: install the software using Apple software updates

Follow the instructions for the method of the push button.

I hope this helps for those who had as many problems as me!

  • Photosmart 5520: I have a HP's Photosmart 5520 wireless connected to my I Pad, has now stopped printing

After that 2 years of free printing problem with my iPad, sure the printer not responding when I click Print it now also happens when I try to print from my phone.

The printer is connected to the iPad, because he says so, it displays the print page and puts single or double face etc, however when I press 'Print' nothing happens.

verified that the printer an all seems normal.

    Ideas please

    Hello

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing printing problems.

Try to restart your apple device - it's a simple solution that sometimes allows to restore the connection to the printer. If this help not, try to restart your printer also feeding community dn then unplug for 30 seconds before turning on again.

Other things to check would be that there has been no recent changes to the wifi password.

  • HP Photosmart C4380 wireless light

I use a MacBook Air running Yosemite 10.10.3, sharing a wireless router with my HP Photosmart 4380.

Recently I have had problems and do pass on messages in the print menu that the printer is not detected. Blue wireless indicator is brighter.  Now, my fall is back to connect my USB cable, which is not convenient to aleays.

Someone, please let me know how to "reboot" of the printer so that the wireless lights to indicate this function still works?

I am pleased to confirm that, after trying all the suggestions, I finally managed to solve my problem.

It became apparent that the C4380 had lost all its settings and therefore could not send its wireless capability.

So I used a MacBook with a CD player, running the Mavericks, to install from a CD of the HP Installation. The installation program, allowed me to restore the function wireless and BINGO! It all works now.

    Thank you for your efforts!

  • Photosmart C6280: Wireless connection Option is missing from the installation all-in-one Photosmart C6280 on Windows 10

When I was installing the complete drivers for my old C6280 Photosmart all-in-one on my new laptop Windows 10, I arrived at the place where it asks what type of connection, I have between my computer and my camera.  It provides USB and wired Ethernet in option, but there is no available wireless option, although when I click on 'Help' the third option consists of the description.  With my old laptop, I was able with print and scan wireless, so I expect to be able to do the same thing on my new laptop.  All the buttons on the installation software were grey, including the 'Back' and 'Cancel', until I made a choice, so I clicked on wired Ethernet, and buttons 'connect a printer later', hoping the third option would be there when I went to the desktop application 'Add a device' later.  No chance!

Connect the printer via an Ethernet cable to your router and follow the installation instructions.

  • Photosmart Plus wireless connection problem

I have a wireless Photosmart Plus B209 printer.  It is connected to an I - Mac using USB and works very well.

However, I am trying to connect a MacBook laptop on my Airport Extreme router wireless.  I installed the latest version of the HP software for Snow Leopard OS 10.6 on both computers, but I can't get the MacBook to print via the wireless network.  He keeps insisting on the fact that I connect it via USB.

Does anyone have a solution or suggestion on this?

    Thank you.

OK, let's use the WPS from your printer and your router to get connected.

Start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer. Then:

    Open Apple Airport utility
    Select your wireless router
    Select Manual Configuration
choose Add Wireless Clients... in the menu of the Base Station
Select the first attempt, and then press to continue.
You must begin the process of Apple Add Wireless customer within 2 minutes of starting the printer WPS push button method. In fact, the order doesn't matter... you can start the process of adding on the Apple start router Wireless Clients then method push-button WPS printer.

Your printer will now be connected to your router. Now all you have to do is install the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax by clicking on the button «+» Find the instance of your printer with "Hello" next to it and click Add. "

You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.

  • Photosmart 7525: Wireless connection to a network of 5G

I have two networks, a 2.4 G, the other 5 g. My family laptops to connect to the HP wireless printer through the network of 5 G, without problem. When I try to scan from my desktop PC, however, I get the message that my PC can not connect, and I have to go to the printer and the wireless Assistant to search for networks. Only the network of 2.4 G appears as an option, which means that whenever I want to scan, I have to enter the password for that network. I cannot the printer to recognize the 5G network, so I don't have to go through this every time?

    Hello jefkal.

In the printer user's guide, it says that the printer connection networks supports only to 2.4 Ghz wireless technology. You can download the user guide from this link and see pages 47 and 48.

5 GHz wireless networks are not supported.

    See you soon!

  • Photosmart D110a wireless connection

My problem seems to be simliar to others who have had this problem, but it seems to start a step behind.  I use Windows 7 with a Netgear Rangemax Wireless Router WPN824 to my network.

Said Network Setup page I am connected to the router and my computer connects fine, but that is the message I get when I try to install from USB and wireless:

Your printer has limited connectivity. Your printer using the IP 169.254.46.156, which is not compatible with the IP 192.168.1.4 PC. Turn your printer off and then turn on and wait 60 seconds for the printer in order to acquire an IP address. Then click try again.

Power the printer off or the router gives different results.  I get the same IP address printer.  And it connects when I try to put the address into my browser.  I guess maybe it's a router problem, but have no idea how to deal with this!

    Any thoughts?

A 169.254.x.x IP address means that the printer itself assigned one IP address because he could not get one of the router.

    Here are a few ideas:

    1. make sure that your router is radio 802.11 g. Others are OK as well, but g must be present.

    2. don't hide the SSID broadcast or use MAC filtering.

    3. use WPA or WPA2 not WEP, it is not secure and can lead to connection problems.

    4. make sure that your router has the latest firmware.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g suddenly stops printing wireless

I recently bought this printer. I've set up to print wireless. I installed and uninstalled twice b/c after about three times wireless printing, it stops wireless printing. Here is the order of events.

    (1) install the software according to the instructions

    (2) test page wireless printing, that always works

    (3) other printing things the same day wireless (works fine)

    (4) try to print something wireless as 2-3 days later

    (5) it does not. Get message of the staing HP Solution Center which is obvious: Document cannot print (duh). Through troubleshooting (Windows help). It tells me to make sure that it is the default printer (it is) and then check if it is online. It is usually not. So I choose to do the printer online (which is a sub-question, and I'm sure is related to the problem, why it keeps automatically be disconnected?)

    (6) attempt to print

    (7) message appears saying that HP Photosmart C309g-m offline (Solution Center)

    (8) read troubleshooting tips (HP Solution Center), which tells me to connect via USB to print (which annoys me because there is no available solution that tells you how to restore a wireless communication between the router/computer/printer)

    (9) which I did the first time around, but find that when I connect using the USB, it prints well. Any attempt to return to wireless printing is reflected in steps 7 and 8

    (10) check the connection of the application printer wireless network printing. Indicates that the printer is properly connected wireless. I know that my laptop is on the same network b/c that's the only one I have and my internet connection is not interrupted somehow.

    (11) get frustrated, uninstall and reinstall the printer

    Repeat step 2.

This has happened twice already, and I bought it so that I COULD print wireless. He must be troublemaker solution Quen uninstall then reinstall the printer each time that happens (up to once a week).

I have a laptop computer, a printer and a wireless router.

have a Belkin g MIMO Wireless router

    I own a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop

I have a HP Photosmart Premium C309g (bought less than 2 weeks ago)

I do not turn off the router or printer. Rarely I have turn off the laptop. Reset the router in the past has not helped. Turning and on the printer or the laptop in the past has not helped.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) how to prevent printing to offline on my laptop

    (2) how to restore communiucation between the printer and the laptop computer on the wireless network?

    (3) how do I keep the communication between the computer laptop and printer (and I assume that the router) to go Bye Bye?

    Thank you

About what you suggest, the IP address remained the same throughout the facilities and absorption.

However, I have thought of it. I guess that the wireless connection on the printer. I went back to the office and looked at my network settings. I needed to "find" my wireless signal. The first time that I've refreshed my wireless name does not show upward. I refreshed again and POOF! He was there! So I chose and put in my password (I think that his WPA encryption). When he finished the wireless network connection, it is printed on a network status page. Given that I printed this page so many times already I happened to have an old on my desk. I noticed that the IP address is the same (although today, I uninstalled and reinstalled again) on both forms. Anyway, when I returned to my computer (which is in my living room) HP Help Center had a giant green check mark on it and said that the printer is connected. Then I printed something and it worked! YAY! It would be great if HP put in information on the way to reconnect wireless when you get this message "the printer is not connected. Who knows maybe I needed to evacuate to understand! Laughing out loud

So for everyone out there, if this happens to you:

    1) go to your printer

    (2) select the arrow to see the next menu. (it should be on the right side of the LCD screen, it looks like a triangle on the side)

    (3) select Setup--> network--> network wireless assistant

    (4) the printer will start to search for wireless networks

    (5) choose your network (or the network you are using...  It should be the same as your computer/laptop is on)

    (6) if it is password protected, enter the password/password

    (7) your printer will print a network status page.

    (8) your computer should "recognize" the printer on the network itself. Your HP help window can display a large green check mark (it's a good thing!)

    (9) print what you want!

    * Note I guess that you may need to do this each time the printer goes into sleep mode. Its not that boring!

  • HP Photosmart C4380 stopped scanning

I have my Photosmart c4380 connected wireless to my iMac (under snow leopard). The last time I tried to scan controls on the printer, I got a message "USB or wireless not connected".  I am able to print wireless from my computers and I use to be able to scan the controls on the printer, but no more. Probably not incidentally, Device Manager did something unusual - display a dialog box that talks about printer cartridge. (I ignored him, closed, etc. & has not paid no attention until now that I can't scan.) Probably related. I tried scanning also form HP Device Manager, but get a message "unknown error."  Also, a message was generated to send it to Apple.  I'm a tech fool but I managed to set up twice! Was not so difficult I have well - but... yuck, I need to make it work!

In fact, let's check something.  It turns out that scanning from the printer control panel does not work with 10.6.

However, you can scan using the Image Capture (in your Applications folder)?

    Hello!

If you use Windows Vista, you must disable the WLAN energy saving function. You can find it in the Vista power management options. Check it!

In addition, you should try to update the driver WLAN and the BIOS. The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

Last but not least, I would recommend that you read hundreds of discussions on the problems of WIFI. You will find so much tips and tricks how to increase the WLAN functionality and troubleshooting.

    Hello

I'm sorry if this seems a silly question but first:

Are you REALLY sure have a wireless card installed?

    And the second question:

Do you have already turned the switch on "ON"?

Because otherwise, the light will NEVER go up.

Please give feedback if you tried to change the pit wireless switch 'ON '.
