Problems with HP Photosmart C4380 wireless via a router from Cisco RV120W

We recently purchased a Cisco RV120W wireless router and now we can´t connect our wireless Photosmart C4380 printer.

During the installation process, we get the message: "the can´t computer communicate with the printer on 192.168.0.216. It can be caused by firewallproblems. Check that the 427 UDP port are not blocked in and out of traffic"(translated from Danish).

If I remove the USB cable and try again, the installation continues and Announces: 'printer found – connected to the LAN' - but in the end: "Printer installation is not complete" - aurgh!

The report-network printer looks OK all the way.

Can someone help us we are frustrated.

Greetings Jens Ove and Helge

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with this device.  However, I would search in the areas of networks, VPN and security.

You want to be sure of not having active VPN and also look for implementing isolation.

  • Problems with HP Photosmart C309g wireless and wired

    Hello

I fought with my C309g since I bought it a few months before.  It works on and outside, but can not hold a consistent network connection.  I have wired it usually but have tried both wireless.  It is plugged directly into my Netgear router.

Before it works for a short period of time and the other Offline Online & on its own.  Sometimes it recognizes the other computers on the network to print & analyses.  I have 3 PCs on the network - two cables & a wireless.  It will recognize the three rarely, two of them sometimes, one of them sometimes (usually the laptop wireless) and none of these most of the time.

There each time than in quite awhile for the first month and now it does not appear at all on the network - wired or wireless.  I can't print and more.  The documents simply to sit in Quebec for a while and then produce an error.

Any help appreciated.  This printer is a wholemeal bread.

    Thank you

    Gringeiro

    Hi Gringeiro,

You use the wireless WEP or WPA security on your router?  I would recommend WPA2 with AES, well, if you want to connect wireless.  It will also, if you set a static IP address on the printer.  You can do this by typing the IP address of the printer in the address bar of your browser.  Select the network tab, and then look for IPV4 under the section of wired or wireless, depending on how you have connected it.  There should be an option to "suggest manual IP".  If this isn't the case, type IPCONFIG from the command prompt (start/run cmd) to get your addresses in the subnet and the gateway.

  • Photosmart C4380 - wireless connection stops my wi fi connection

    Hello

I have a problem with my Photosmart C4380 wireless. In recent weeks, I have a new router from fi wi for internet connection. The problem starts if I want to print a document: if I connect to the printer my Internet stops. In addition, if the document to print is a picture it is all purple but I don't know if it's a question of color or if it is because the problem of connection. When I put the memory card directly into the printer, I could see a picture printed even if had still some purple color in it.

Anyway, my first problem to resolve is the connection problem. How can I make two connections (PC to the printer) and PC to the router work together?

-Operating system: Vista Edition Home Premium - Service pack 2

-Wireless (PC to the printer) and PC to the router

-Do not get the error message. Just to lose internet connection

I hope you can help me because I don't really know what to do.

    Thank you in advance,

    Good bye

    Fabio

You said you have a connection Printer to PC and PC to Router. That is not how this printer should be connected. There are two types of home network connectivity No.1 Wired network is ethernet cable from printer to router. You should also have an ethernet connection from the router to the pc. In this type of connection the router is called the access point which enables communication wireless from a wireless capable device like a Laptop. The printer is now on a wired network No.2 Then there is purely wireless - no wires involved. By the way, a USB connection is not a wired connection. USB is independant and has nothing to do with home networking. As far as I know, this printer uses a usb cable for wireless installation only. While installing the printer select wireless and continue. The printer will not be found, click continue and you should be prompted to temporarily connect a USB cable. When device discovery is complete you will be prompted to remove the USB cable. Then the installation will test the wireless connection and that should complete the installation. I would suggest a complete uninstall using level 3 uninstall found on cd or download files Util\CCC\uninstall L_3, Do Not use L_4. This doc c01122127 found at HP.com has a video showing screen shots during the install process I have described above.

    Good Luck

    Hello world

tried to connect to my WiFi, but the convenience store detects that the problem with access point or wireless adapter.
The drivers are up-to-date and functioning normally. There were discussions on BIOS but I don't know if I would be able to complete the task without bricking your laptop.

    Is there any online support?

    Hi smert

Your message is not really useful.
Why? Because no one knows all the details of the laptop, wireless network card system...
So please would you be kind enough to provide more details.

But despite the missing information, I recommend:
    (1) reset your router WLan
    (2) check the connection to the WiFi unsecured. (of course for testing purposes)
    (3) check the different (WPA/WPA2 AES, TKIP) encryption

  • Problem with XServe and XServe RAID via Fibre Channel

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my blended Xserve RAID.

I see in RAID-Admin and configure it successfully (via Ethernet). Connect with our Xserve via Fibre Channel, but the XServe and XServe RAID do not detect each other.

The fiber on the Xserve channel LEDs are white on the Xserve RAID completely off and permanent.

RAID-Admin status of Fibre Channel: 'No connection (1 table)' with a red square.

If I try to open the utility of fiber channel I get the message: "card Fibre Channel is not found." Utility disk OS X can't, too.

I changed the card connector cable, and made several reboots. But each time the same thing: they do not detect each other.

    Xserve (2009):

    -2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 5500

-Map of Apple dual-channel 4 Gb Fibre Channel (LSI7204EP)

    XServe RAID:

-RAID 5 in an array (only on the left with 5 x 500 GB)

    -1.5.1 Firmware

-Cable Apple 4 Gb SFP - SFP

Thanks for your help and sorry for my bad English!

    Hi Mpm-Mainz,

Check if you have enabled LUN masking. To be able to see, you will need to download raid admin 1.5 not the 1.5.1

    Xserve RAID Admin Tools 1.5

Have you also tried to use the other controller? Even if there is no disc in there, then it should appear in the preferences of fiber card system.

  • Problems with Realteck 8187 B wireless LAN adapter

I am running Windows XP and since a month started having problems with my Wireless LAN connection. The installed adapter is a Realtek 8187 B. When I start the connection opens briefly, then begins to show the low connectivity with yellow dots under the icon on the status bar. Sometimes I have connection then connectivity closes its doors as soon as I pass my home page.

Other times it falls back after about 5 minutes. I can usually clear it by restarting the computer sometimes twice. What I need to download an updated driver.

    Thanks in advance

    Jamie

    > Do I need to download an updated driver.
I think you should check the portal Tosiba WLAN and install the latest version of the driver Windows XP Home edition. Do it first and check the functionality.

Disable the DHCP broadcast flag: link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/928233

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756

(How to back up and restore the registry in Windows)

Windows Vista cannot obtain an IP address from certain routers or some non-Microsoft DHCP servers

To resolve this issue, disable the DHCP BROADCAST flag in Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type regedit in the search box, and then click regedit in the list programs.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ {GUID}

    3. in this registry path, click the (GUID) subkey that corresponds to the network adapter that is connected to the network.

    4. on the Edit menu, point to new, and then click DWORD (32-bit) value.

    5. in the new area #1, type DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and press ENTER.

6 right-click DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle, then click on modify.

    7. in the value data box, type 1 and then click OK.

    8. close the registry editor.

By setting this registry key to 1, Windows Vista's trying to get an IP address using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets. If that fails, he will try to obtain an IP address without using the BROADCAST flag in DHCP Discover packets.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

  • Problem with laptop Pavilion dv6 wireless connection

I have a problem with a computer laptop dv6-6b50ea Pavilion of customers. He has win7 64 bit installed and an Intel Centrino WirelessN1030 with blutooth wireless card.

The user has used the laptop abroad with a 3G usb dongle with T-Mobile, but now wants to connect to his home wireless router.

Initially only the two switched 3g options are visible in the network for the connection options. Therefore, I uninstalled all T-Mobile software for control of the key usb 3g and removed the dial two profiles, but the laptop wouldn't see any wireless connection.

The orange light was on the f12 key and I couldn't get the wireless to work. Finally I found that even if it has been enabled in the HP connection manager, it has been disabled by Windows Mobility Center. I finally got the light turns white but still saw wireless networks while two other laptops could see the router in the same place.

I took the computer laptop and tried it on my own wireless network, and although he saw them he said that they were very poor and wouldn't connect. I tried all the normal things like turning off the antivirus and windows firewall. I've updated the software of the driver from the HP website, but it still wouldn't connect.

Finally, in desperation I disabled two virtual connections created by the driver. Finally he saw all my access points Wi - Fi including some a long way outside. I have is that it connects and thought that I had a crush, but restarting it would link is no longer. Since I brought the oldes driver I can find on the Intel site, updated twice by HP Support Assistant, who has updated the bios and installed the latest drivers intel, but it now not see any wireless network, or if it does sporadically and does not connect. Ethernet connection works fine.

I've seen lots of messages on mobile phones of series dv6000 with Wi - Fi and an overheating issues etc. What is the same thing with the dv6 6b50ea?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

I had a very similar problem with Tablet Dell Latitude slate ST of my son.

He has the card brand Dell Atheros wireless bluetooth/wireless combo. He had connection problems in W7, but I was finally able to make it work most of the time.

I saw on the Dell forums, a lot of people complain about this card.

I installed W8 on the Tablet and there is no pilot, so I resorted to an old driver w7 and I can't get the map to work most of the time.

So, I ordered an Intel 6230 without wireless/bluetooth combo card for it and I'll see if it makes a difference.  Intel has W8 drivers for the card.

I did the same thing you did... inserted a map of the network, D - Link DWA-125 USB into the USB port.  W8 recognized, installed the drivers and it connects without any problems at all.

The difference between my situation and your is however that the 1030 Intel has no problems experienced with W7 link I know, that's why I suggested a factory reset to see if you can start from scratch and exclude a hardware malfunction.

If the card still does not work, then of course we should be replaced by a card support listed in the service manual.  Unlike Dell, with all computers laptops HP, you can install one of the maps in the service manual and they must have the part number HP on them or they do not work.

    Kind regards

  • problem with access point or wireless adapter, a network cable is not plugged in correctly or may be broken

I recently purchased the 8 Envy Touchsmart PC Notbook HP windows. Immediately I put in place, and everything worked well - even on the Internet, unfortunately has an hour or so I started to have problems with Internet... I go through the process of diagnosis to do repair, but that did not help much, so I updated my laptop. For a few minutes, it worked, and then the problem once more. Frustrated, I checked my other laptop (which I use to write this), and the network was very good. In fact, all my other WIFI device did not appear to have problems. Anyway, thinking it would help, I connected to my router, changed my mac address, it did not work so I had to go back to the default Mac setting. I ran troubleshooting 300 times or more, but who has not fixed my problem at all.

I checked my network card, it is updated... I see no problems with it at all. I checked every setting in there, but there seems to be no problem. sometimes windows network diagnostics say found problems, he's talking about wireless /wifi ip is not configured or something, I don't remember the exact words. He would say that it is connected, but I see the yellow sign that appears on the wireless icon. He would also say «identifying...» "A minute im connected and then the next day it does not.
I do of course when it comes to setting basic stuff, but it's just beyond my comprehension. I can't point the question of the pint. I just did a complete reset, in the hope that he would go back to its default setting if I have deleted or destroyed something by accident, but I still have questions. Can someone help me please. I am frustrated and fed up frankly at this stage.
Please get back to me as soon as possible, because I have important files on this laptop that I need to download on my drive of google.
    Thank you.

    Hi Fergiey,

When you run the network troubleshooting tool and which indicates that the wireless IP address is not configured correctly, I suggest that you reset the stack TCP/IP and check if that helps.

One of the components of the Internet connection on your computer is a package of instructions called TCP/IP. TCP/IP can sometimes become damaged or altered. If you can't connect to the Internet and you have tried all other methods to solve the problem, TCP/IP can be causing it.

TCP/IP is a main component of Windows, you cannot delete it. However, you can reset TCP/IP to its original state by using the NetShell (netsh) utility.

The reset command is available in the context of the NetShell utility IP. Follow these steps to use the reset command to reset TCP/IP manually:

    Steps: what please refer:

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

    a. open an command prompt, press the Windows key + X select prompt as an administrator.

    b. When the user account control box pops up, click on Yes.
    c. at the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) that follows the command, and then press ENTER:

    netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

    d. Note: If you do not specify a path of the directory for the log file, use the following command:

    netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

    c. restart the computer.

    d. When you run the reset command, it rewrites two registry keys that are used by TCP/IP. This has the same result as the removal and the reinstallation of the Protocol. The reset command rewrites the following two registry keys:

    SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\
    SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DHCP\Parameters
    .

    e. to run the manual command, you must specify a file name for the log, in which the action takes netsh is recorded. When you run the manual command, TCP/IP is reset and the actions that have been taken are recorded in the log file, called resetlog.txt

Please post with the State of the question.
