  I lost my CD of Windows 7 Ultimate and my motherboard got fried by a wave when lightning strikes near my house.    After a new motherboard, processor and installed memory, she asks me to turn it back on and I don't have the key.  As I have previously activated this product, Microsoft cannot pick up and tell me what it is?  I wouldn't buy a license just because I lost the drive, should I?  Isn't that part of the reason why we register and activate in the first place?  I can't afford to buy it again!

  64-bit is a little faster IF you have more than the minimum amout of ram. 64 bit min is 2 GB and 64-bit uses more resources than 32-bit.

  I doubt you will see any gain and might even see a loss.  If you can not buy pass more ram, this isn't worth it.

  Edit: only preload can install it in the taskbar automatically.  To get it in the toolbar now, have it installed find SimpleTap on the start menu, right click and pin it to the taskbar

• KB2926765 Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit won't install

  I hope someone can help me on this

  Patch Tuesday arrived for this month (may 2014) I got this KB2926765 update but it could not install.  All other updates arrived installed correctly.

  I did a clean boot and tried to install the update automatically after you complete the necessary steps.  But he fails again. I even tried to install the update manually, but it is enough to install.  Frustration, I did a restore of the entire system from a backup I made from January 2014.  But even after this the update still fails to install.

  Get code error 8007371 C.

  Any advice with regard to obtain this update to install would be welcome.

  Thanks for all your help in this matter. I finally decided this morning to fdisk the drive and do a complete re install my Windows vista dvd and all updates installed properly.  I also did a full backup of the present so hopefully I won't run into any more questions.

  It should not be a problem.  In fact you can be upgraded servers anywhere in the world of.  Just because you are in a given country does not mean that you get the upgrade from there.  Microsoft balance the load on their servers so if in your country is busy other countries will be used
