  I have correctly installed Photosmart P1000 with HP Desk Jet 970Cse driver to Windows 7 by following your steps (part I) and part II; steps, I found to suport-amlabels-for moving item not specified in the list of printers.

  Note: When I used HP Desk Jet 990c (do not use) he connected the printer to the computer but would send paper without printing - DJ970Cse worked perfectly for me.

  Here is the entire process part I, part II, part III.

  Note in part II I was not able to find the right driver, because I wasn't able to do the update of windows from there.  There may be an easier way to do it, but it worked:

  Part i:  (to turn on the windows update)

  1. go on devices and printers.

  2. click on add a printer.

  3. replace LPT1 port USB.

  4. click on windows update (to load the drivers more) - Once loaded - click on HP (Hewlett-Packard not stated), then clickDesk Jet 970Cse

  5. after the directions at the end (not alarmed that the test print does not work - this step is only for Windows Update to register for part II - later allows you to uninstall this printer useless).

  Part II
  

  A problem that may be encountered during the installation of your printer of labels on the Windows 7 operating system is put in the list of devices not specified, even though you think that you have installed the drivers correctly.

  Now to remove the unspecified list, please follow these quick steps:

  1. From the Windows taskbar, click the Windows, right click on computer icon, and then click Manage . The computer management window opens.
  2. Click Device Manager in the left pane of the computer management window under System Tools. A list of installed devices appears in the right pane of the computer management window.
  3. Right-click of your product in the list of other devices and then click Update driver software . Opens a dialog box to locate the driver software.
  4. Click Browse my computer for driver software .
  5. Click Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer , and then click Next . The Add Printer Wizard opens.
  6. Under manufacturer , in the installation of the printer driver window, click on the manufacturer of your .
  7. Under Printers , select the driver replacement for the product (listed in the table in step to determine compatible driver appropriate ), and then click Next . Opens a window to update driver warning.
  8. Click Yes to continue the driver installation.
  9. Pull up a document to print, and then select HP Desk Jet 970 CSE (1 copy).  It should display the color and black.
  10. Go to part III delete the first printer installed.

  Your device will now be fully assembled and ready to use.

  1 cancellation test print of the first installed printer HP Desk Jet 970 CSE

  2. Uninstall HP Desk Jet 970 CSEdo uninstall (1 copy)

  3 (1 copy) will replace the printer uninstalled.

  I hope you have success faster than I did - it took me two hours to finally combine those two processes and then I also had to restore my computer to a version prior to restart after installing HP 990 C JD.

  Is there a driver or a workaround for my HP Photosmart P1000 printer? Is there another driver that works with Vista64X?

  I only went through it with HP Technical Support without result... no driver of HP.    I can't use my printer with my HP Pavilion due to the absence of a driver for Vista.

  Any thoughts?

  The Deskjet 970 print driver built into Vista should be a good match for Photosmart P1000 for printing.  Use Add a printer in the Printers folder.

  There is no support of Windows for your model, and there has been no full support for XP. If the printer is not recognized and Windows Update can't find anything, you will need to buy a new printer...

  The driver for Deskjet 970 is a good match for the P1000 for printing.  Go to the Printers folder, select "Add a printer" and select the driver Deskjet 970.  If you use USB, you may first install the printer as if it were attached to the LPT1:, and then change the port to the appropriate USB port once the printer is installed.

• Photosmart P1000 - full of ink, but no printing on paper. Help!

  I have a photosmart p1000 which has not been used for about 1 year. I just installed new ink. Printer and go through the print than normal request but no show of ink on paper. It act like it is printing but the paper came out white clean.  No idea why this is happening? Thank you.

  Hi - a couple of things to try.  First of all, when you installed the ink cartridges, did the tape covering the ink nozzles detaches completely?  You could remove the cartridges, hold them upside down and make sure that there is no Ribbon left on the ink nozzles.  If the ink nozzles are clear, try the procedure described in this document, simply choose the operating system you are using.

  Everyone has understood how to use a printer PhotoSmart good but on Windows 7?

  It's not compatible win7, the latest released drivers were for winxp, so unless you have win7 Pro or Ultimate, and so can install virtual Windows XP, its won't work, and if it has only a serial port, which is another bridge, you'll have to cross.

  Anyone know if the HP Photosmart Essential software for Photo editing, print and share allows me to print a Bordless printing the pictures on my HP Photosmart P1000 printer?  I noticed that this software is available for free download on the HP website.  I'm looking for a possibility to print that will allow me to print a Bordless (edge to edge) when I'm printing photos.  When I select print on my HP Photosmart P1000 printer, on the tab layout, there is no Bordless no print option.  This option is available on the HP Photosmart 7550 printer but not on the P1000 printer.  Can someone help me please?

  Sorry, P1000 is simply not able to print without margins, paper management is not designed for the printing of bprderless.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand you want compatible software and drivers for your HP Photosmart p1000 printer and that you're running Windows 8. After some research the most recent drivers available only go up to Windows XP, so there is no support of Windows 8 for the p1000.

  I have a Dell xps and when I plug in my printer to the laptop as it appear under unknown devices, when I try to add a printer, it says driver is not installed, then it ask if you want to install the driver and I hit Yes, then it looks and says driver not found. Any suggestions? I would really like to be able to print from my laptop and not only in my office. My printer is a HP photosmart 1000. TIA

• Stock of inkjet cartridges

  My HP940 inkjet printer is dead, but I have a good stock of new cartridges of HP print for her (HP15 & HP78).  How will I know if any current HP printers or copiers even take these caertridges.  Otherwise, any reasonable suggestion on how best to throw out them for value so I can afford a new HP printer, please?

  There is no current printer, but #15 and #78 cartridges are used in all printers Deskjet 900 series (970, 950, 952, 990, 960, 940, 995 and perhaps others), 1220 Deskjet, Photosmart P1000, P1100, 1215 and the PSC 750 c and PSC 950C.  These printers can often be found on eBay, stores, deals or other sources for a few dollars, I usually pick them up for free $ 10.

  Be aware that while the black cartridges can store well the #78 cartridge can be subject to problems of life if kept for long "install by" dates on the package.   Long life holds the pole of cartridges stored since they would be on a hanger to store display and store them in a cool place.

  • In the system preferences tab scan
  • Image transfer can not find any device

  I reinstalled the device

  Print shops

  Scanner is connected to the router (Hello) by Eternet

  Scanner still works when you use a Windows 10

  MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end 2012)

  After that, I'm going to macOS Sierra my HP Photosmart C8100 Scanner no longer works.

  I had try HP they don't site any upgrade in the Sierra. I get my scanner to work.

  I do not have this as a new printer/scanner each time new software upgrade of the Mac computer.

  Have you tried to install the HP drivers, reboot, then delete and add the printer again?
