  My computer has a very bad performance. It shows in taskbar (PERFORMANCE tab) I don't have enough physical memory, physical memory is about 90 MB, total is Mo 4043, also available is Mo 1684, Cached's Mo 1628, sometimes free memory is 0. Is it possible to reduce the size of the physical cache or increase the physical memory (without RAM upgrade)?

• Disappointing performance of 10gbe - HELP!

  So, we have recently implemented a new ESX/iSCSI environment and we find that the performance degradation that we were in our 1gbe multichannel environment.

  We have 3 x Dell R910 servers with 2 x Intel Dual Port 82598EB 10 gb CX4 NIC each.

  Each of the servers are connected to a Force10 C300 switch. We use port 1 on each NETWORK card in each server iSCSI traffic and each of them is connected to a separate Force10 C300. The C300 are then cross connected.

  We have 2 x Dell Equallogic PS6510 tables are also connected to the two chassis C300.

  We have a separate vSwitch configured on each host and a wrench VMK for each physical iSCSI NIC we use extended frames and are capable of vmkping a jumbo to the portal framework and target each address on the without any problem.

  When running performance tests in redhat using dbench we see only around 550 MB/s of flow either directly to the vmdk local disk that is stored on a data store multi-channel alternating or using a software in Redhat iSCSI initiator also multipathing.

  We hung our old without comparison and in a similar configuration in the contrary case, we see a 630 mb/s compatible out of our ESX host using 4 x 1gbe between the host and the switch and 3 x 1 GbE to the PS5000.

  Then, with only 4 1gbe NIC host and 3 1gbe NIC on a table with 32 less readers that we are seeing an INCREASE of 80 MB/s in performance on our new hardware 10gbe... what gives?

  During the passage of the selection policy of Round Robin Fixed path on the data store see us speeds drop to nearly 130 MB/s

  I think that we must be missing some configuration step huge to see this terrible execution.

  Ideas?

  Have you considered that the bottleneck may not be network support?   What makes you sure that your storage system can provide more I/O as your Gigabit network delivered?

  What is the database? If it is not too large, then you can always back up primary. Then stop the day before, restore it from the backup that you created. Create control standby in the primary file, then use it to replace the eve controlfiles. Start going UP the day before and he will resume normal operations. You use the backup of the primary to effectively get rid of these threads in the waiting. No downtime for the primary, but you won't be without the intelligence for the period of the backup to restore. Now the big question becomes... is it worth the work involved?

  I hope someone can help me with a problem I have. I am currently coding my first app webworks for the Playbook, and everything went well except that my application icon does not appear. I tried my compiled bar line on the Playbook 1.0.1 Simulator and a physical Playbook running OS 1.0.7.2670, which do not show the icon. The icon I use is 86 x 86 pixel, named "icon.png".   My sidebar file was compiled using Webworks 2.1.0.6. The three files ("blackberry - tablet.xml ', 'config.xml',"icon.png") are located in the root directory of the application.   I assume you are using the file blackberry - tablet.xml in the execution of an application not signed in the PlayBook device. This file is not necessary for signed applications, only the config.xml file is required. And for your problem, I guess it must solve it. In blackberry - tablet.xml , use the following code for the icon.

• Mobile Center Virtual VM to physical server

• Slow USB data transfer to Vista preinstalled Satellite Pro P100-465

  The transfer of data through my USB ports to and from remote devices seems very slow. I installed vista and tried to update to the latest Intel drivers for the controller 82801G, v8.2.0.1008 however, this does not seem to improve things.

  I noticed in the list only one of the controllers is listed as USB 2, I'll try each and see if one is faster, once completed the transfer of current 1/2 hour. Does anyone know if only 1 port is USB 2 or if there is any way to speed up their all?

  Also in general the transfer of files in vista is painfully slow I tried different solutions but none have offered a lot of improvement. This is a disappointing performance, and I am trying to install XP to improve performance; However, that seems like a step back, and would be very embarrassing. Does anyone know if improvements are underway?

  Do you use external HARD drive? What small HDD 2.5 with two USB cables or external power but only one?

• Pav Notebook: Parameters of Synaptics Mousepad not saved after reboot with Win10

  Hi all--nine of these forums. I find that my settings are lost whenever I have reset my laptop for the Synaptics touchpad options scroll mouse, which means I have to be forever just put the laptop to sleep, or reset the settings when you restart. A minor annoyance but when shell out you for a new phone, you expect the basic options to actually work.

  No idea how to fix this? Apart from the very disappointing performance, it is my only complaint for the product

  Try the following.

  Hold down the Windows key and press R

  In the run box, type regedit and press enter

  In the registry editor, navigate to the following

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

  Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

  If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

  Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

  Close the registry editor.

  Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

• Google Chrome freezes computer

  When I open Google Chrome on my laptop, my computer freezes completely (the mouse moves, but everything else is completely insensitive)... Other programs such as IE work but is still slow.

  I did a virus check and he found a virus that has been deleted. The computer has 'dumping physical memory' and performed a disk check.

• packaging by ripple works ok, but no launch

  Everything started playing with WebWorks today (OS of PB). Tried to start my own first HelloWorld app.

  Packaging by ripple works very well, I see the .bar file. But trying to launch my (physical) PlayBook, the package & launch batch stops. No error message appears, but when you look at the command window, it seems that it messes up the path name where the .bar file. Take a look at this screenshot:

  

  For some reason, waving seems to add the word 'indefinite' between the path and the name of the .bar file in batch to deploy call. Double, I checked in package ripple settings that there are no strange characters at the end of the way out, I told him. Also, the same path working in the call when the ZIP file is automatically created (7th line from above in above screenshot).

  Any ideas?

  (I know that I could go ahead and run the process of installation/launch manually from the command line prompt, but who will become probably painful during the development of the actual application. Being able to use the ripple would be so much easier...)

  (1) If you mean how to provide a 'back' function in app WebWorks on the PlayBook, we recommend you to add navigation to your application itself.  Unlike the Smartphone where there is a button 'back' physical, PlayBooks is a touchscreen device, so any sort of forward/backward navigation should be included as part of your application.

  (2) If you ask if you can re - use custom extensions based on Java JavaScript on PlayBook, the answer is no.  It is currently not possible since the BlackBerry Tablet OS does not yet have a JVM.  A JVM will include at some point in time.

• C20 TC5.0 FACTORY RESET QUESTION

  Need help please.

  I have a C20 of the TC5.0 running software.

  Using the document quick set c20 for factory reset... I turned off the system.  Just press on and hold power and get the flashing of the LED (GRN).

  Problem is that when I press and hold button LED GRN light never comes to the top.  After about 8 to 10 seconds, I have the RED Led.  When I release the button of the normal commenses system starts.  ?????

  The factory reset procedure was changed in software version TC5.1, so anything before that has a different procedure than newer versions.

  As has been mentioned by Jens - factory reset procedure is different on the version of the software you are using, so, in your case, with the TC5.0 software, you will need to use the "old way".

  There are a description of the methods in the jrandby post in the thread c20-factory - default - power button .

  As mentioned in the Troubleshooting Guide (pages 22-25), the physical method of performing a factory reset is one of the last options resort - there are other methods, first of all, you should try.

  I would understand if the value of byproducts could at least be summarized, but it is not...

  SPR at the logical level, I have a fact table and a Dimension of the source/physical even table table. They are joined on the logical level and dimension is created, with levels of content defined for the fact table. Aggregation of the value of the field is set to the sum.

  Practice is to alias all THE physical tables and perform joins from there (one physical table means PKs join 1 to 1)... but that doesn't solve your immediate problem (you're stuck with the function-ship to mixed-case text): using drives physical data model design information.  Physically, you should have a size of fact/star (ideally) since this is how you really want to use this data.
