  I created a SQL view is basically simple, but I need to group data based on a value returned by a function. I think this slows down the performance. First, I added a normal index on it, then added that an index function but no help. I get the data I need, but it takes too much time. I hope someone can give me some ideas on how to optimize the performance of my SQL.
  
  The base table has 1318408 rows. I need to select only a few columns and group and count the rows based on a date value in a column. However, the date of the table contains only a weekend rental value and I need report of the neighborhoods. The report should as well a date and value of a text value for the quarter.   Welcome to the forum!

  You feel the change of context, where you constantly change between SQL and PL/SQL. That always takes time.

  A function-based index can help if you have referenced only functions in the WHERE clause. Given that you use in the SELECTION and GROUP BY clauses, it cannot help.

  What are the functions? Maybe you could calculate their in a subquery, with pure SQL expressions.

  From Oracle 11, you can have virtual columns that are computed when you INSERT or update each line and physically stored in the table.
  In previous versions of Oracle, you can get the same results with a materialized view, or a BEFORE INSERT trigger that calls the functions and meets the additional columns.

  I use primarily as a phone with occasional e-mail and browsing medium. Use the applications a lot but there will probably not be a bit.

  I like the machine relatively uncluttered, but I have a niggle with the function of the phone itself, either to make a call.

  The app is unlike those that I have used before on a droid, where contacts and the phone are presented as integrated in an ap - essentially each icon as a different entry point.

  Why, when I press the phone icon to make a call I get only a demonstration of a few recent calls - they are all multi-line. I rarely recent calls, so that doesn't help me, but I find no obvious way to do this by default to anything else, for example to go to a call screening where I can type in a number. Is there a way to change this default? Essentially, I eventually make two presses of selection before I can do anything.

  Also in contacts, is there a quick way when you have a lot of contacts to get to a specific point in the list for example go to Mr. rather that having to press the search, enter text etc.

  I'm sorry, but it's Android (AOSPS) Standard for all types of Android changes since 5.0 AFAIK. Most of the users use this feature as it is.

  Try a third-party application or Sony should make an additional adjustment for this.

• (Physics) PlayBook disappointing Performance

  I went to Staples today test the Playbook.  I am very underwhelmed by his performance.  In AppWorld, he could not smoothly scroll app screenshots (which are only size something like 300 x 200 on the screen).  In addition, they list in my apps could also not advance smoothly - stutter.  For a device boasting all this excellent material, I don't understand why its performance seems so lag?

  That has not been my experience.

  Now, I listen to audio files on the PlayBook. While playing, I can scroll through open applications and discovers the animations in the next version of my app, scroll the list of the 836 songs I put in the music player of the Tablet and so on.

  All interactions of the user and scroll are smooth as silk, while music plays in the background.

  I have Mac OS X 10.8.5

  3.4 Ghz, 32 GB ram

  Profject parameters: HD1080i, 29.97 frames per second

  Fileds, filed first upper

  Capture HDV Fomat

  Made video: Maximum bit dpth and audited Oprimize stills

  Image of project sizes: 4928 x 3264, Filke size 8.5 mb

  The movies are .mov, 720 x 480, 29.97 frame rate

  Overall the project is long about 5 minutes

  I read in some messages and just totally confused and disgusted right now. My film seems to play very well on MAC, until I have burn, with others, on a DVD. (I create separate movies and then combine them into a DVD with chapters). Each film is about 1.2 GB, but when they are all added to a project and position the burn, he says he needs to 1.5 GB of space (1/4 of what expected)

  Is there anything I can do to not make my DVD look like has a project of Category 5e. My only pictures are so crsip and beautiful and just get trashed with the creation of DVD.

  The typical result is DVD AVCHD can be played on a DVD player, while the DVD-VIDEO to DVD disc can.

  However, a recent report by a user of Premiere Elements with a Panasonic DVD Recorder/Player $2000 seems to suggest that she could at least read AVCHD DVD on this player who is not a Blu - ray player. More information on once.

• ThinkPad X220t - how to increase FPS and game performance?

  Hi all

  I have question about how to increase the frames per second for purposes of gaming performance.  I have a Lenovo X220t ThinkPads with a processor i7 with 8 GB of RAM and graphics card by default. Sometimes, I use the computer for games even if it is not specifically designed for this.  I have a problem so far with most of the games, but some of the games that are more graphic intense tend to be slow and have a FPS very low.  I know that the main reason for this problem is that the built-in graphics card is not designed for serious games, but I'm looking for advice or tips that will help.  For example, disable the ability of the touchscreen would increase game performance? Any help is appreciated.

  You can significantly improve point importation using the set_process_id to divide the records and by launching several requests for point import at the same time.

  In all recent versions of firefox (that I remember), I was able to type in any word in the address bar and it would take me to what was usually the first result of google, now it takes me just a google search.
  For example, I could type in "Wikipedia" and it would take me the wikipedia House directly, now it takes me to a google search the word "wikipedia".
  I tried this in a number of betas FF4 nothing helps, it is still missing in the RC. I am disappointed.

  Hi all, I have an old laptop HP G70-111EA (product/reference: FX432EA #ABU) with a 360 C 09.67 circuit (to be honest, I have not been able to learn what it means in terms of a system or motherboard) and a Core 2 Duo T5800 processor,.

  I would like to try to upgrade the processor and or anything else that I can, to try to upgrade to Windows 7, or 8 if possible... or even to try a Linux OS like Ubuntu based (as the limitations of Windows 7 and 8 will follow the 'end of the support for the operating system... as in Vista' and disappointing from my favorite Win XP loss!).  And the problem is, I can't find anywhere that identifies the exact specifications of the motherboard, cpu socket set, FSB material and possible cpu upgrade speed limits options, etc. etc that are possible... or at least reasonable for the existing hardware.

  I downloaded the maintenance & Service Guide for the model, which shows a "processor Intel Core 2 Duo (6 MB of cache L2, bus 1066 MHz front)" can support a "T9400 2.53 GHz", but was really hoping to go beyond that, because it is not much better than the current T5800 2.0 GHz (2 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB).

  Memory options seem or PC2-5300 667 MHz, DDR2, 667 MHz, PC2-6400 DDR2-would be the limitations of memory modules motherboard, or any other material restrictions also prevent the change of the memory and change from 32-bit to 64-bit in order to increase the current limits of 3 GB to 4 GB of memory... or is it a fixed limitation built into the system.

  Basically, I'm looking in any way I can increase the performance spec, any help or advice on this would be appreciated.

  The guide shows the T9400 as the top processor of the page. It wouldn't surprise me if a T9600 or a T9800 would work, but I can't guarantee these processors, and there are still enough expensive of course faster than ever. I had a laptop with the T9800 a few years back and it was pretty quick. I also just refurbished two older laptops with T9400 and with a SSD in them that they plow 10 Windows without any problem.

  The max memory is 4 GB, and you can use all of this, if you are running a 64 bit OS I recommend. Even if you are running 32-bit Windows, with two identical modules will alow so to run in dual channel that the sytem can take advantage on a 32 bit OS and memory transfer is about 10% faster and every little bit help.

  Yes, you can use aka PC2-6400 DDR2-800. Memory clock will always be 333 mhz (667 double) and no 400 mhz (double to 800). DDR2-800 is much more widely available.
