Picture It problems when you install on Windows XP

xxxxxxxx,@hotmail.co.uk

Why can't I install Microsoft Picture It 2001 on my newer PC (XP)... I get the message... Close all programs, and then try again... I do... but still no joy. Help! Please

What browser do you use on Windows XP?
Picture IT 2001 will install on Windows XP with Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7.

If you have Internet Explorer 8 is installed, uninstall and go to an earlier version of Internet Explorer. Then, try to install Picture It still on Windows XP and see if you can.

Please let us know.

  • Child is not classified as family member when you install on Windows 7

I have problems to set up parental controls on Windows 7.

Security configuration for the family on Win mobile, 8 of woman successfully. When I sign in to the Family Safety website I see my son as expected account and my wife the other parent.

Now want to family security put in place to monitor its account on my laptop win 7. Installed windows essentials. Went into setting and chosen son, connected to the family safety account and I wonder to match its local account with one of the accounts online in our family. However showing only accounts are our two parents does not represent his account. For my son, the only way is to add security to the family, that creates it as a fourth member of the family in my account online.  I deleted the duplicate family member so I now go back to the beginning.

Any ideas how I can configure the same child account is used for both computers, so monitoring is the same on both?

Only I thought I have is that I don't think that I've added an email to his account, when I set up the family safety on Win8 machine initially. This would cause this issue?

  • problems when you install a SSHD on an old Macbook Pro (2010) with El Capitan?

Swapped a HDD internal with a Samsung 250 GB SSHD and I have latency issues with

video and audio.  El Capitan installed.  I omit something?  Is there something I need to do?

Computers that can be upgraded to use OS X Internet Recovery

If your model may use Internet recovery, do like this:

Clean Install of El Capitan on a new disc

    1. Restart the computer. Immediately after the chime, press Command + Option + R until a globe appears.
    2. The Utility Menu appears in 5 to 20 minutes. Be patient.
    3. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
    4. When loading disk utility, select the drive (generally, the entry Out-bumpy) in the list aside.
    5. Click the Partition tab in the main window of disk utility. A panel will fall.
    6. Set the GUID partition scheme.
    7. Define the type of Format Mac OS extended (journaled).
    8. Click on the apply button, then click the fact when it is active.
    9. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
    10. Select reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.

This should install it the version of Mac OS X that has been previously installed when the computer was new.

Otherwise, you must use the original disc that came with the computer, boot from it. Use utility disk to erase and repartition the disk for OS X, and then install the version of Mac OS X that comes with it. Update the version of Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 using the Mac OS X 10.6.8 v1.1 updated Combo updater. You can then access the App Store to download and install El Capitan.

I get the above error if you use Windows Update or install SP1 from DVD.

I found that the Windows Modules Installer Service is the service responsible for the error. It is configured to start automatically. When I go to the Dependencies tab I get a pop up that says: "Win32: the service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices is associated to him."
I disabled AVG during an installation attempt.
I followed the troubleshooting steps, by running the update of preparation tool (KB947821 nothing helps.
