  I installed ESXi on an IBM ThinkServer TD100x and that you have created two VM, Windows 2003 Std (32 bit) and Windows Server 2008.

  Both were works well on the network and the ping requests until I have configure Cisco Channel ether using the road based on the source mac hash. The Windows 2003 VM worked very well and was still on the network, but the Windows 2008 VM loses network connectivity, couldn't out ping.

  Are there known issues with Windows 2008 and grouping of NETWORK cards?

  You will need to use the hash of the IP with Etherchannel (manual), LACP (static) or 802.3ad (static) trunking.

• Windows 2008 server and second nic

  Hello

  I added a second NIC on a server win2008r2. The NETWORK adapter has been configured for a different use for dedicated backups segment. I see traffic, send and receive. Public/not identified said interface. I found articles to change privately and did so with no luck. I have disabled the firewall for profile modeling with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.   I'm trying to get this installed VCM, and I checked for the need, missed me a few role on IIS...

  So I didn't add these roles, and after I saw an article: check and activate the IWAM account name

  When I look in the local user, this account is not there.

  In the documentation it say if she is not there, reinstall IIS... I did and no longer works.

  This account is still not there in local users...

  Y at - there someone who can give me a hint on this before to contact VMware support?

  The IWAM account no longer exists in IIS 7.  It is a defect in the documentation.  Please continue with your installation.

• Connectivity problem between Windows 7 and Windows 2008 Server R2

  I'm unable to ping Server Windows 2008 R2 on windows 7. some time get the replay, but some time is expired. I can ping the XP system and windows 2003 and router and switch. knowledge on all new patches or something is blocking the connection.

  I turned off firewall and Antivirus in both systems, off IPV6 in the two systems, but it's no go.

• 2008 R2 and Unix services for Windows - lost NIS groups

  We have 2 servers Windows 2008 R2 and 2 linux boxes running NIS/Kerberos.  One of the Linux servers also manages a secondary NIS server for performance reasons.  Synchronizes the UNIX Services that the Pb of account in the form of NIS to it, the other server will connect and auth directly on the AD server.  We've had this setup for over a year now and it is handled with problem.  Today, I ran the Microsoft Identity Management utility and lost NIS Group on the Linux server that works it's a NIS server.  On the Linux server that connects directly to the AD box groups all appear with a command id of the command line.  It seems that the Unix to Windows service app cannot be synced to a NIS Linux server.   According to me, it's a bug due to the fact that I recently updated the Windows 2008 R2 server two for the latest versions of patch a few days ago.

  Have a fix for this or could Microsoft address the issue.

  See a strange problem with only a Windows 2008 R2 model. When you use the built-in function "Start VM and wait" workflow to start a virtual machine (after conversion from a template either manually, or through workflow) NIC of the virtual machine (I tried VMXNET3 and e1000 times) does not connect to the problem.   1 - if you put the DVD in the ESXi host - then

  

  Then make sure that the first initialization of vm bios device is cd rom

  2 - If you log into the esx from your pc/laptop and that you have mounted the DVD in your laptop / pc, see below

  

  You can point to a pc/lap dvd player you or you can use the ISO image in pc Tower

  The GUID mentioned in the event is related to Virtual Disk Service and I checked all the security permission associated with setting in component services, as well as in the Windows registry, but no luck yet.

• Problem of ThinApp IE9 for Windows 2008 R2 Server Citrix

  I'm trying to make a package for IE9 I'll be able to run on Server 2008 R2 running Citrix 6.5

  so I made this package by installing a windows 7 ent vm workstation and I capture the IE9

  now on this virtual machine with windows 7, this package work very well and also on my pc running windows 2008 R2 it also work correctly

  but when I try to run on no matter which of my new citrix servers open IE9, and then it shows this error popup:

  "A display problem (page name) caused Internet Explorer Refresh the Web page.

  and then freeze IE9. (this happen for IE9 32-bit and 64-bit, my servers are all 64-bit)

  now, I'm working on it for a week now and I have googled all the net and I found every article I can find on this error

  and I have tried everything with no success

  now, the only difference between my PCs running on windows 2008 R2, and Citrix servers are that my pc is a physical pc running Intel i5

  and all my citrix servers running on Vmware esxi 5.1 platform and I don't put all windows update install on my pc and I have Citrix install all updates from Microsoft.

  So it can be a hardware problem in the context of the article I found say that it may be related to the video card driver, but if this is the case how it works on the virtual machine with windows 7 running on the same server esxi

  and it can also be an update from Microsoft that makes this problem or it may be something that I don't think and that I need your help

  the IE9 which are installed on my citrix server run ok and there I have no problem but the IE9 in the package I build gives me this error

  one more strange thing is that in my package I didn't enter any home page and when I run this package it take home page I put in the local server as my homepage

  I also build a package for IE7 and present a work very well and there it didn't happen for me that the homepage on the server has been set as my package's home page.

  now, I'm trying to build this package as insulated and uninsulated and it made no difference regarding my problem, or to the homepage that originate from the local server.

  I found the cause of my problem, after all the test I did has been updated to Microsoft KB 2670838

  who get the users name in the net as the WRONG UPDATE

  After I remove this update that are not at all necessary and is also define who you just have it as a prerequisite for upgrading IE to version 10

  IE9 begin to work my package.

  So if someone of you will have a problem with IE9 and time does take to load pages remove this update.

• Duplicate the NIC GUID under Windows 2008 R2

  I have created a model of Windows 2008 R2 and you can "Deploy VMS of this model" with her.

  I can also use the comments customization feature to configure the virtual machine created from this model, and they get properly configured (joined to the domain, key license added, etc.).

  If I make a sysprep on the host computer before making a model then I get the unique GUID but customization of VMWare does not work.

  Either I shouldn't need to do the sysprep command myself (as for some reason, it's on the vcenter server) or the unattended answer file, I use when I manually sysprep has misconfigured options.

  If anyone has encountered this error and is there a solution outside "deploy model, then manually uninstall and add network adapters.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  The last step of the bulding your model must be to remove and uninstall your Windows Server's network card.

  Before you convert your virtual machine to a model you add a new network card, to make sure that each virtual computer you deploy from your new model will have its unique NIC
