• Place the file xlsx directly in the table

Hello, as always thank you for your help. I'm not sure if I should have placed three questions, forum ettiquette, and would someone please tell me if I should not have combined questions in one post.

I'm embarrassed myself so please bear with the simplicity of questions.

Here's the script:

function placed_3to10 (doc)
{
with (doc)
{
front of PG 1
var textFrameEdd = docEdd.pages.item (0).textFrames.add
(
doc.layers.item ('TableLayer')
undefined,
undefined
{
, geometricBounds: [10,15,280,200]
,
}
);
THIS PLACES THE TEXT DIRECTLY IN THE PARENT TEXT FRAME AS PLANNED
about textFrames.parentStory.insertionPoints.item (0) (file ('~ / Documents/1add2doc/pg1p4222 .xlsx '))
THIS CREATES A TABLE WHICH TAKES PLACE IN THE TEXT FRAME AS A 4 X 4 AS EXPECTED
var tableFrameEdd = textFrames.parentStory.tables.add)
My FIRST QUESTION is how to put the xlsx data in the table? I tried several options without success.
My SECOND QUESTION is how to apply styles to the text content frame around the table and the table itself. I tried the following, but they do not seem to work:
STYLE OF TEXT BLOCK
textFrameEdd = docEdd.pages.item (0).textFrames.item (0).words.item (0) .applyParagraphStyle (docEdd.paragrap hStyles.item ('INDENTparaBody'))
PICTURE FRAME STYLE
tableFrameEdd.appliedTableSyle = docEdd.tableStyles.item ('altROWtable')
My THIRD QUESTION is whether it is possible to write a 'place xslx' script so that there is need to identify the cells. Can we make abstraction of the statement of the range in the ExcelImportPreferences script or it will set the entire worksheet?
As always, thanks for your help. I'm excited about the potential of the Screenwriting and wish my brain were faster.

1. I don't think that you can place a XLSX spreadsheet in an existing table. If you import a XLSX spreadsheet, it is treated as text imported; You can place as a new object (a block of text that contains a table that contains your data) or use the 'replace', which will be actually empty an existing framework and put the new text (/ table) inside.

2 textFrameEdd = docEdd.pages.item (0).textFrames.item (0).words.item (0) .applyParagraphS tyle (docEdd.paragraphStyles.item ('INDENTparaBody'))

That should work - but "applyParagraphStyle" does not return any value, it is just a function that applies the settings immediately. It returns "null", which means, your textFrameEdd variable will have the value "null" (or "undefined" or sth).

A small note is that you don't have to target a Word, since paragraph styles can be applied to entire paragraphs. Personally, I use the shortcut 'indexed direct' form [0] instead of ".item (0)", so I'd probably write it as

docEdd.pages [0] .textFrames [0] .paragraphs [0] .applyParagraphStyle (docEdd.paragraphStyles.ite m ('INDENTparaBody'));

An alternative is the following, by the way:

docEdd.pages [0] .textFrames [0] .paragraphs [0] .appliedParagraphStyle = docEdd.paragraphStyles.item('INDENTparaBody');

3 per, 2 your variable is cleaned, so you can no longer use it. Also (and especially), you cannot apply a table style to the text, which, apparently, you try to do. You should target the table itself instead:

docEdd.pages [0] .textFrames [0] .tables [0] .appliedTableStyle = docEdd.tableStyles.item('altROWtable');

• Where to place the files in the projector Mac .app bundle?

I just read a technical note in the knowledge base on considerations for the creation of a Mac projector beam. For OSX, the note seems to suggest that you need to place them in the content folder. The example they give is the executable in the MacOS and a file named example, dir in the content folder. I'm currently testing a package that I created in Windows Dir 11.5 on a PowerBook running Mac OS x 10.5. My called executable launcher was delivered automatically in the .app/happy/MacOS folder, then I copied my DCR in the contents of the folder, the first menu.dcr is the starting pitcher is going to, but can't find it. I tried to place the content in the same folder as the executable first, but that didn't work so I read the TechNote. Now, placing them in the folder content does not either. This technote seems a bit old, so I wonder where the application files will now and if the pitcher can use a gotoNetMovie "menu.dcr" to find the first file of the application? Everything works under Windows, but every single app, I tried to convert for Mac has required major adjustments so I expect the same thing here?

• Where to place the files .xls and .doc on SD card to E2?

Howdy,

I have searched but did not find a thread that explains the file structure that Palm uses on SD cards so that all .xls and .doc files are located when the card is inserted. I tried to put it in the root directory of the card and which did not work, if someone could give me a brief explanation of the file structure that is created on the SD card once it is formatted by the device, then, what directory (on the map) can be used to "drag and drop" files .xls and .doc directly from my computer through a USB card reader SD card?

Thank you

Charlie

It works beautifully. MP3s are in a named directory on the SD card AUDIO and .doc and .xls files are in a directory on the card SD the DOCUMENTS.

• Cannot place the file?

I did a lot of work on a logo and I try to use the benefits of putting a file, rather than points so any updates it will appear on various documents.

I've attached a video, I used the same method as many times before, but the file does not appear.

Any ideas?

HM, I opened your folders, saved compatible pdf, then link placed in a blank document.

Works.

• Place the file (CS3)

I have several FTP sites that I manage with Dreamweaver. I use the list of files on the right side and modify the files without any other program FTP. Recently, Dreamweaver has been to put the files each time I have switch from Dreamweaver to another application and then switch back. According to the number of files, I opened, it may take up to 30 seconds for Dreamweaver put all the files I opened. She does whenever I switch to Dreamweaver and does so whenever it normally does as well. It's really annoying and I was wondering if I could disable this option. Its kinda useless to me and I really do not know what as her for. I've been through preferences and what I can't find how to turn it off.

There is no such function in DW that puts the file when it loses focus.
However, according your description, it seems that you have correctly set
your sites such as FTP & RDS Server sites. In this case, there is not * PUT * since
you change the live files directly on the server. It's a very bad
idea, especially if you are not very experienced with DW and web
development, since you don't have a backup of your files.

-When you look at the name of the site from the site list, you see a network
icon of the pair, or a folder icon? If the first case, please recreate that
site definition as a 'Site' not as a 'server of FTP and RDS' and the use of this new
site definition.

• Muse do not allow me to place the files Photoshop CC.

When I go to file > Place, my Photoshop files are grayed out and I can't place them. I'm doing something wrong? My Muse and Photoshop are the two CC and updated most of the versions redecent.

The Photoshop file is a little menu I want to use with 3 layers. 2 of them are just marked flat colors, the third is a hidden gradient.

Any help is appreciated more.

OK I found the preference you have to change... its in PS / change / preferenvces / file handling / maximize PSD and PSB file compatibility. Select either ask or always and your PSD in Muse imports will work: good luck!

• You can place the files in Photoshop CS4?

If you place a .psd or .tif file in an InDesign file, you are alerted if changes are made to this file (as I'm sure most of you know). Is it possible to do it in Photoshop? I have dozens of carpet sample .tif files that should be used in several hundred "montage" type 'carpet groupes‑echantillons' layers .psd files that will then be saved as images for the web (that makes sense?). Is it possible to do so if there is a change in the original .tif file it will automatically change any .psd file, in which it is used? I know that the best way to do it is in InDesign, but I have two problems: 1) the conversion of InDesign to a web image is laborious, and 2) the person who does the work doesn't quite know the InDesign. I can show him how to use it, but it's a small part of the battle.

Any suggestions? I use CS4 for Windows.

Thank you

Hi Lloyd,

Take a look at this and see if it will be useful.

• How can I create a password protected folder? Also, how can I change the background in the files?

Well my question about his car, sometimes you have things in your computer that you don't want others to read or watch.
Once you put a password on a folder to prevent others to take a peek inside. No idea how to do it again?

Once when I had windows Millennium Edition, I managed to change the background image in the folder its self. so when you opened it, you could have your own custom folder. But now I must keep that boring white folder is still no way to do it?

As WinNT, Win2K, WinXP and Vista before him, NTFS in Windows 7

EAD, he uses the superior method to explicitly
Set file/folder permissions to individual users or groups.

As work around raw, you can place the file in a compressed
file and a password to unzip the folder to view/access its
content. In addition, some applications allow the user to protect by password

For your situation, simple action plan would be to
Create a user limited account for someone else who uses your computer,.

een this ability
with the use of the 3rd party applications. Certainly not Windows 7
predecessors had this ability.

• webutil read file function finds the file on the application server

Hello

I want to select and read a file (possibly .pdf) and save it to the database.

To achieve this, I:

1) created a table, deltia (key primary aa, varchar2, blob, other columns... image_blob, filename)

(2) created a block form of database based on the deltia table. The element of the "image_blob" column type is image

and the image format is "tiff".

(3) wrote the following piece of code to perform the selection of local file (successfully)

Select the FUNCTION (i_FileFiltre IN Varchar2 default vDefFileExt)

RETURN VARCHAR2

IS

vPath Varchar2 (128);

vFileName Varchar2 (256);

vFileFiltre Varchar2 (200): = i_FileFiltre;

Begin

vPath: = CLIENT_WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT. Get_Temp_Directory;

vFileName: = WEBUTIL_FILE. FILE_OPEN_DIALOG

(

vPath,

'',

vFileFiltre,

"Select the file to download.

) ;

Return vFileName;

END selection;

The form above function call is:

Declare

vFileName Varchar2 (200);

Begin

vFileName: = PKG_File_Ops.Selection;

If vFileName is not null then

: eq_deltia_metakinhshs. Filename: = vFileName;

End if;

End;

(4) wrote the piece of code to the game/place the file selected in the form element "image_blob", as following:

client_image.read_image_file (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,)

substr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename, instr (: eq_deltia_metakinhshs.filename,-1)).

"eq_deltia_metakinhshs.deltio_image");

The call to the packaged procedure client_image.read_image_file does not work. It returns error

"47109 - cannot locate the/u01/oracle/temp /... image file"

In other words, the system will search to read the selected file locally on the server App.

I'm trying to install Acrobat 8 Std on a laptop computer that was in need of a restoration. He asks the file AdobePDF.dll since my Vista CD - I do not have. How can I get this file or another which will allow my Acrobat 8 work on this laptop with Win 8.1, which she did before restoring?

John,

AdobePDF.dll is in the file Data1.cab. Mine is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat8\Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional\ You need to extract the file "AdobePDF.dll_64" from the .cab file. You can do this with WinZip or 7-Zip. Everything you need to extract is this file, nothing else... Once you have extracted it, remove the _64, so the name of the file is AdobePDF.dll. Then place the file in any location you want and run the program it when asked. For a file location, I suggest to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat8\

Hope that helps.

• When you place the object from Illy, how to ID design work to present plans

Could someone guide me through to placing it objects in documents of identification of an Illustrator file with multiple layers? It presents only the work plans that are present in the surface layer? Or is it all visible layers?

When you place the file, choose display options.

• How can I change PRINT > MARKS AND SAIGNER to include the size and location of the file?

We are trying to create a physical catalog of signs and would like some kind of automation in each file with the location and the size of print. Is it possible to customize this brands and appearing in the dialog impression of bleeding? Is there a different way I could get the same result?

Thank you.

You probably want to use InDesign for that. Instead of each print file and combine them in a catalogue, place the files in a page in InDesign, generally there are several items per page, but it is up to you. You can add captions to your placed files (object > caption > caption installation), captions can pick up and include metadata of the placed file, including the path and of the size, among other things. There are also specific catalog software, but maybe it's more that you need.
