Place the photo with gradient transparency

I'm trying to place a picture in a packaging design in Illustrator.  The photo has a mask degraded around the edges that fade to transparency.  When I place it on the package with a rich black flood design in illustrator and print on my printer laser, I can see a noticeable difference in the shade of black in a square around the photo area.

What can I do to avoid this?

This show up in the offset printing?

Thank you! This is my first post.

What can I do to avoid this?

Nothing, except if the printer driver supports a workflow completely managed to apply the specific pixelation. If the printer supports it or e.g. Acrobat printing and playing with flattening options, however, you can try color profiles replacing...

This show up in the offset printing?

No, if you prepare your separations ink properly...

  • Cannot align the bottom edge of the photo with the top of the taskbar on the H - P dv7-4296 running Windows 7

I have a dv7-4296nr running Windows 7.  I use a slide show for my wallpaper.  But some of the graphics that I use are not among the standard background images and are not size 1600 x 900 pixels.  I resized them so that the vertical dimension is 900 pixels and the horizontal is not more than 1600 pixels.

I want to put a text caption simple (usually only one word) in the lower right corner of the image, as close as possible to the lower edge.  Put the text in the image is easy, but he displayed is not!

The problem is that the taskbar hide the bottom of the image, including the legend.  I can think of two approaches to solve the problem, but have not been able to get either to work.

The preferred approach is to resize and place the photos so that the bottom of the image is almost exactly in line with the top of the to-do bar and the top of the image is at the top of the screen.  That would allow me to display the entire image with the caption placed where I like it.  I was not able to resize the images and place them in the display to achieve this.  Can you tell me how to proceed?

The other answer, which is less satisfactory, is to move the legend to the top, so the base line is just above the top of the taskbar.  How far away from the lower edge of the baseline of the text image will have to be to do this?

    Thanks for your help!

The taskbar are 40 pixels high, so you can see only 860 900 pixels display area.  The simplest solution is to put the pixel text-based line at least 40 of the bottom of the image and use the option Center in the positioning of the image menu.  Unfortunately, this leaves the background pixels 40 obscured by the taskbar.

A more elegant solution is to resize the image in order to make the vertical dimension 860 pixels.  I use Corel Paint Shop Pro, which has a function called 'Size of the canvas', and I don't know there are similar functions in other paint programs.  Canvas size allows you to add a background (a "Web") and specify the size of the canvas as well as the location of the image on the canvas.

I make the white of the canvas, 900 pixels high and the same width as the image.  It gives me a bunch of white 'canvas' 40 pixels up and down.  I add the text, and then store the resulting image in the folder that contains the images on my desk of slides.

It works very well: the taskbar don't obscure than the white stripe, while I can see the entire image with the text placed where I want.

  • Newbie: Place the Photo

I'm about 1 day to come to grips with InDesign, after using Photoshop for my projects of basic design for years. I'm having trouble with the photo I want to use as a background for my image, it's a huge, commercial quality TIFF image, but he pixillates like a mobile phone of snapshot when I place in my InDesign format A4 document. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong, but I can't understand it - I wonder if it's something to do with the process of scaling (the photo is too large for the workspace, so I scale down just using the brake handles). Any help would be appreciated!

(Tabitha Spottybottom is my cat, incidentally!)

What you see is just the preview screen. Go to object > display performance and choose high quality display.

The same can be done for the entire document under view > display performance.

  • What is the best way to place the image (with legend) in a book?

I am preparing a model for an encyclopedia project, the encyclopedia will be in addition to 10000 pages, so what is the best way to place the images (Photos, graphic illustration,... etc) with a legend?

The problem that when I change the text; the image does not move with it, and when I place it in the text, it is difficult to control text flow.

    Please help

I think so, but it can be a little weird, if the position of the anchor is on the second page of a two page spread. Really, I jumped in to suggest the image and the legend of consolidation before anchoring.

  • I get error messages when you try to edit or print some of my photos. "Unable to open the photos with the unavailable original files."  Some have been transferred from iPhoto, and some have been rewritten in photoshop elements. Any thoughts?

When you try to edit or print some of my photos I get the following error message: "Photos with the unavailable original files can't be op it gives you a drop-down list to find the original, but I had no chance."  Is there a way to 'do' an original or at least modify so it can be edited?

Pictures needs the original image file. This is to show you a preview in the browser, but to edit or export the photo of the original, file full resolution must be found.

What's happened before the photos have disappeared?  Photos crashed? You run an application to remove duplicates or to clean your Mac?  You have restored the library from a backup?

  • Problem download/save the photo with MHTML

When you upload a photo to my email in the box on my server (cogeco.ca) and savings to my documents, it is saved with an extension of the MHTML file that I can't open. I tried the photos from two different senders so the problem is my PC or server. I use Save as and the photos were jpeg or tiff, then added the MHTML. How to cause the pictures to be stored as just jpeg or tiff as Envoy?

Well, I communicate with your email provider and then ask what is this format.  This isn't something that seems to be common to all.

    Hi Steve;

    Thanks for the quick response.

When you rename the file did not make a difference.

The name of the file is xxxx_jpt rather than xxxx.jpg, I expect. The description is MHTML Document and the size is between 1 & 2 meg.

I tried to rename aaaa and it does not open

I tried to rename it yyyy.jpg and it does not open

I tried to rename it yyyy.mht and it does not open

    Any ideas?

  • Where can I find the photo with the camera application account

original title: photo 8 windows account

Hello. recently I took the photo for the photo of profile account on windows 8 using photo app and now when I want to use this image for something else that I can't know where he saved it

    This way helped me:

    1. in Folder Options, choose 'show files and folders '.

    2. open browser Windows
3, choose folder with your account name (on my screen right under 'Libraries')
    4. Select App Data - Roaming - Microsoft - Windows
    5 Ufff... PHOTOS FROM ACCOUNT!
  • my photo in windows app 8 has no option to crop or change at all as it is supposed too. Do a right click to open the photos with other programs either. Everyone? Ideas?

I read everything I can and can't find anything.  Even the support forum shows the application photo with harvest and turn like their screenshot for windows 8.  If I go into my library in windows 8, the only thing I can do is to "visualize".  Others of the edition with the paint opening and right click.  I don't even have this option.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  This is a new computer and a new operating system.  Everything seems difficult when you have to google all the simple tasks and cannot locate the necessary elements...  Help, please!

I finally figured it... Unfortunately as a new user, I missed what is obvious.  There was an update with all these features available for photo enforcement.  If you're under the new Windows 8 like I am, you will find all your updates to your application under the Flagstone "STORE".   Ironically, I had even spoken with Microsoft and surprisingly not ever made a single mention of it.  It is not my product so I feel better to miss what is obvious.  Microsoft cannot say the same.

  • Save the Logo with a Transparent background

Hi, I am building a company with Photoshop CC logo. The main objective for my logo is so he married well in my site header. As you can see in http://comparedeals.net my mobile phone site, I had to change the background color of the Web page to white as the logo is not transparent. How to make the white background of the logo transparent?

I know how to remove the bottom by this invisible layer but when I save the file as a JPEG or PNG image, the background is always white - which requires me to have a white background color for my Web site.

I know that you can save money with transparency, but I don't remember how I did the last time I did a logo. Anyone know how?

    Thank you.

You can do this by removing the bottom completely and use the shortcut
(Shift + ctrl + alt + s) which will take to save you for web window. Select png-24 format for an image of high quality from the drop-down list and it should serve your purpose.

    No, this is not possible.

  • Place the captions with pictures

The captions under the photos in my book were placed in individual blocks of text.  It worked very well for the printed book, but now I want to reformat to an e-book were each image is anchored to a specific location in the text.  I don't know how to bring the legends since they do not flow with the text and are not attached to the image.  Any suggestions?

1: I told you, what you do, follow.

3: I talked about the configuration of YOUR INDESIGN, not the EPUB FILE. You can configure the maximum width of your column in the style of the object, but you are not able to decide, if your reader is reading your EPUB lnadscape or portrait mode. Forget it. The user turns his camera as he prefers, it extends the playback application window as he likes, you have no influence him how he uses your EPUB. You don't have any influence which program it uses and what functions are rejected. If you want to force the player to use the landscape, you must create an EPUB with fixed layout, not liquid layout. The number of columns with a liquid layout does not have the number of columns in the InDesign file, but in InDesign text frame object style settings, most likely the maximum column width settings. If you need images of anchor in InDesign, so it would be good easiear to do it in a file of single column with non-connected pages who's ojhter than the same book in print conditions.

  • cannot make the mask with a transparent visor

    Hello.

    I have a footage1 with a screen showing numbers, etc and I footage2 showing a football game.

I want the screen to display the football game

I created rectangular layer mask and is a relative of footage2, also tried all options of cache on the layer of footage2 but the mask remains white Uni.

How can I make this white triangle to show the football game?screen football.jpg

A matte always uses the layer just above. I guess your "5 solid white" is the hidden layer you want to use as a matte. I suppose also that you want to lock this matte for the layer 'Motion Tracking'. Do the "white 5 solids ' parent layer of the" Brazil... mp4 ' layer means that the layer of "Brazil"... "move with the"5 solid white "layer". I don't know what's on the layer "Brazil"... "but I don't think you want to move it. I do not see a "white triangle", so I guess you mean the White Rectangle.

Let's start with what I think I know.

    1. You have a layer with numbers and other things. Name this layer "numbers."
    2. You have a layer with images of a football that you have followed. Name this layer "football".
    3. I see what I think, this is a null value in your computer. I think that is where the info of follow-up for the layer of "football". Name this layer "footbalTrackNull".
    4. You have created a solid with a rectangular mask that you want to use as a matte. Name this layer matte

I think that. If I'm right, then I guess you want to hide the layer numbers, do follow football. I see a few problems. Your "Matt" layer looks like you have drawn the outline of something of no room for the camera. If this is the case, you will have to tell us.

Set up your layers of composition like this:

    1. mat - footballTrackNull set as parent
    2. numbers - set to follow mat - define footballTrackNull as a parent.
    3. Football
    4. footballTrackNull

The visibility of layer 1 will be off as soon as you apply the matte. Place the cover on the football. The visibility of the layer 4 can also be set to off, but it does not matter because this is a null value.

This will move the numbers and the layer mate together because they follow the footballTrackNull

I hope this helps. The screenshot has us in the right direction, but a better understanding of what you're trying to achieve would also help.
