Planer VMware capacity - where is the documentation

Because we want to have a complete picture of our physical environment (before go us completely virtualized) I tried to use the Planer capability integrated into Virtual Center.

The tool has a lot of potential, but without documentation, there are also a lot of trial and error, so that I didn't have the time.

I have seen also some web reporting tool, that I could not access...

Anyone know where to find the docs?

  • Where is the documentation on front panel objects?

This might be a stupid question, but is it helps on objects of façade? For example, on the front panel, I chose

    Modern-> list, table & tree-> Listbox.

Now, I typed the letters A, B, C in the list box and right click on the node of the list box on the block diagram and witness of the. Of course, he showed the list again.

I noticed that the wire was a blue line "BOLD". I wired then that a for loop with indexing turned on, and this time I ran inside the loop, I created a new indicator

the VI and inside the for loop through the indicator, I saw a number, which was the index of the last item selected in the Listbox.

Well, if you're wondering where I'm going with this, here's my question: How do we find out (where is the documentation) that tells a user of the blue line "BOLD" on a Listbox

carries information on the entries in the list box, as well as the index of a selected item? I mean there are a lot of other façade objects that do have not any help documentation.

What a person to learn on items in the front? On the block diagram, I can mouse over, press Ctrl-H and click on detailed, help but cannot do anything on the front panel objects.

  • Adobe Air framework - where is the Documentation

I am very confused about the use of the Adobe Air framework to learn how to upgrade my applications. There are tutorials on the Adobe Web site, but they are all from 2008 or 2011 and discuss the Air 1.5 versions 2 or 2.5, but since I was on 3.7 Air I would like to see examples of how to use the framework.

I am new in the Air, but not for AS3. Looks like the Framework includes APIs that allow you to update applications and much more, but I can't find where the documentation is in particular. I find constantly:

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/air/documentation.html

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/air_update_framework.html

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1156048

    http://code.Google.com/p/nativeapplicationupdater/

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/air/articles/updating-air-apps-native-installer.html

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/air/build/index.html

and a few others, but I hope someone can help me find what I need. Perhaps the framework has not changed since version 2 or 3, but I know it's another article I read.

I use Flash Professional CS6 and work entirely in this program.

    Any suggestions?

I'm about to leave, but I think that these two links are perhaps what you're looking for because it contains all the documentation you need for the latest version of the AIR SDK:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/ActionScript/3/index.html?filter_air=3.7

    http://www.Adobe.com/devnet/articles/flashplayer-air-feature-list.html

If it's not I'll post some more when I get back if someone else hasn't already.

    Edit:

Back now, so I looking to implement a form of update of your application within itself using Air updater Application. The second link you provided says everything about how to do this, just ignore all the MXML and use snippets provided in the examples. There is no difference between the framework released in 2011 (for updating), so any tutorial around this time will be sufficient for you. I quickly Googled it for you and it seems to be easy to understand:

    http://Kirill-Poletaev.blogspot.co.UK/2011/06/updating-air-applications-part-2.html

    Hope that helps.

As most of us should be aware of, First_Rows_k optimization takes place for query Rownum... !!

so for top query, the cardinality estimate is 1 and County stop happened key in the plan with filter as ROWNUM < 2.

    Now let's run under SQL.

    SQL > select count (*) in the tab_rownum where rownum > 2;

In any case... above SQL will be not all output lines.

As expected rownum is greater then 2... !!

    0 db block Gets

    1529 gets coherent

    1526 physical reads

If we check the cardinality estimates, this is the total of the lines of the table... That's why no First_Rows_K for this SQL optimization. (All_rows)

Although we will not get all the lines... always full scan table oracle...

Also... Button Count Stop has changed and filter + Count... !!

Need to understand... Why not oracle have an output for logic > rownum conditions than zero!

Why the filter for the second execution ends not SQL executions... it scan complete set... for lines nil!

    Thank you

    Hello

WHERE ROWNUM > 2 is a very common mistake, but it's a mistake that most people make once, in development.  They learn that it does not work, and they don't again.  I expect Oracle to make the features so that unique development queries run faster.  They are probably more concerned about what kind of things people do every day, in the Production.

Is there a documentation out there for the structure, the used css, mabe even strategies involved?

None that I know.  Read the code.  It is pretty self-explanatory.

Basically, you have a 4 column grid floating on the great features with media queries that breaks 2-columns on tablets and 1 column on mobile phones.   Layout widths are expressed in percent to make sensitive in all windows.  A very simple grid presentation.

  • Import Performance data in VMware Capacity Planner

VMware Capacity Planner has the ability to import performance data in data manager or you must collect data from performance via the Capacity Planner software?

    Hello wgmaurerEMC,

You can collect data from target of UNIX and Linux machines running the CP shell on each target computer scripts

rather than run the scripts through the host of collector.

Please, see page 47 of the CP reference Guide attached on how to implement the manual execution of scripts.

  • where to find the documentation ivi.h

    Hello everyone!

I have a trivial question: where to find the documentation of ivi.h. Whats really interests me is based on descriptions, what they do and what parameters are passed. I look around, so this is the last place where I can find help. I have only the header file and library. What's funny to other headers of ivi as iviSwitch class I have full documentation in file fp. For ivi.h, there is a problem.

  • Planner capacity VMWARE - How\where I get this?

    Hello

I used the plate Spin in the past for the capacity planning, I don't have the ability to use it for the moment.

I use VMWARE VShere Enterprise Plus and that you have not used before capacity planner.  I thought maybe an addin, this product is it a surcharge to Enterprise Plus, or something that should be on the CD of VCENTRE?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

the one you see on vcenter is a light version of the actual capacity planner that I mentioned. If you can find your local peer vmware or vmware that they could help you, perhaps in a free way... Here is a comparison between the two. http://Michael.requeny.com/2011/05/01/poor-mans-VMware-capacity-planner-guided-consolidation/
