  We have implemented a Hyperion Planning budgeting application. It has 3 types of plan.

  for one of the 3 types of plans, the aggregation rules takes a long time, even if we have not given, again, we just enter some data for the test.

  What we found that, in Essbase there around 31,000,000 blocks have been created! most of them are missing blocks. some of the trade rules have the command createnonmissingblk on... This could be the reason for the blocks 31,000,000!

  After you run the VACUUM CLEARBLOCK, you do a restructuring on the database to get physically back space, in your case it should be very fast, because there are few data in the cube.

  I had a rite of problem now, we are working on the planning your application, due to some constraints we do not use essbase in our project. We need generate reports based on the planning application.

  It seems that I can't connect to the planning your application, however, I checked host, port, user and password and it seems that they are correct.

  You certainly need to use port 11333, and you should make sure that the 'Hyperion RMI Registry' service is running.

  I have a problem with "the hierarchy of units planning" to export, so my question is "can I migrate App without this artifact? Is this possible? ". This Apps are Apps of the architect.

  I never tried with EPMA app but it works perfectly in a typical application. You should be able to migrate the application without PUH. In shared services, select all of the artifacts during the export. During the import you can select all except PUH. You should be able to import

  I already googled this question, but found no important information. So, can someone help me on this?

  I have been asked to convert a Hyperion Planning of the structure of EPMA application classic planning.  I already know that there is an assistant in workspcae where you can convert the EPMA classic, but I'm not sure if it is possible to convert it back in a classic.

  Is this possible with this wizard, or there is no way to do it?

  There is no wizard to convert, in the planning system database, HSPSYS_PROPERTIES there is a property_name called EDIT_DIM_ENABLED, if it is in EPMA mode it is set to false, in classic it is true.

  In this table, the properties are by application, you will need to find the application = HSPSYS_APPLICATION and match match id to the property-ID and this will give the necessary information change the value.

  All the changes that require a reboot.

  Please note that this does not remove it EPMA you work a process to remove what for example delete the app, rebuild, etc.

• Strange behaviour of 11.1.2.3.500 PSU roll back patch - planning an application does not work

  Hi all

  Recently, I applied the patch to POWER 500 block for all products of the EMP. Everything works fine without any problems.

  One of my users not to start the Regional through JAVA 1.7 service Console, that i have applied EAS PSU 500. Here the problem starts after that, none of the user was unable to connect essbase server through eas. They get "error: 105: connection with a token at MaxlJni.

  So thought of reversing all the patches (block of POWER 500 & 500 EAS)

  (1) roll supported by block of POWER 500 patch successfully without any problems.

  1.1) strange question - rear roller command works even for 500 EAS.

  (2) restart the Services

  (3) for the navigation of the app, I had a lot of mistakes for EPMA components. Then I deleted the folder Temp and Cache of the domain directory and restarted the service. Still, I get the below error.

  At the opening of the planning application, I got info like"the version of the application is not the latest version. The existing release. "11.1.2.3.500, release date: 11.1.2.3.

  Don't know how to decline the superior to the inferior version planning application, normally we will do the upgrade process, I am familiar with that one. There is no information in this respect in the Patch document.

  Could you please suggest me in this situation?

• Import metadata into the planning your application

  I have problem with the import of metadata in my planning application (11.1.3), I tried the sample file of ads.
  The import is successful, but it fails to deploy
  The error message says formulas is not valid, I tried to change the formulas and it says invalid formulas. (but the same formulas that I copied in Essbase outline with no errors)
  
  I've removed all the formulae contained in the formula column in the metadata file example, it worked fine
  
  It will be O K if I copy the formulas manually in the Essbase outline?
  
  Guys, share your ideas means if someone have similar questions.

  Hello

  It is possible to enter formulas directly in essbase, but you must use a HSP_UDF UDA because this preserves the formula when you refresh the intention of essbase.
  Although this route should not really need to be taken, it should be possible to conclude the EPMA formula and validate.

  I'm trying to deploy the EPMA application & I get the following error:

  I'm tagging the account member % deep sales & Margin_Inc % as average of TB, if I set this to none, I do not get these errors and what deploys without errors. Post deployment if I go to the main lines and try to assign average TB directly in EA I am able to do it without any errors.

  I'm on EPMA 11.1.2.1, this error is not involved in the planning application but in cube Essbase BSO EPMA

  Any thoughts?

  Sorry - reread your post and follows it is an EPMA BSO app, does not intend.  You can try placing the period before dimension the dimension account in order and see if it deploys?  I know that's not ideal, but just as a test.  You can read the end of this possibly related post:

  We try to create an application of two type of separate plan ASO (Hyperion planning). We need to get the dimension member two of the plan
  Let's Plan A has five dimensions and plan b is six dimensional. I need eleven dimension in my application. My question is - who I create software, ASO can merge times the dimension of plan member in a single application of ASO.

  Not always 2 + 2 gives you 4. Similarly, fusion 6 dimensions of type of a single plan and 5 on the other doesn't really mean you should have 11 dimensions in your application to aso. Do not create separate dimensions for common dimensions. That is, both types of plan should include an entity dimension so Aso, you should have 1 entity only.
  2 types of different plan to a single ASO cube data is quite difficult, but can take you re - write a little MDX formulas. However, take this as a starting point. Instead of merge requests, rather flatten by including all members in dimensions, regardless of their type of source.
  For example, in the account dimension you have 4 accounts, 2 of them are in Plan 1 and 2 are in Plan 2. Ultimately in your ASO you should have 4 accounts of course in the same database.

• Error in validating application EPMA

  When I validate an EPMA application, I get the message with the 1 error: DimensionAlias cannot be zero or empty. In this application I have created associations between each of the application and the dimension of the Alias, and I don't understand what exactly is wrong, then I would be very grateful of any suspicion!

  I just got this error this morning with my planning application.

  Assuming yours is also planning... for each of your dimensions, click the size and change the text property to system properties. Where we see an empty alias, fill it. I think that any shared EPMA dimensions are affected by this. Then validate again. This is what solved my problem.

  You see the planning application in your list of applications of the click wheel?

  If not... then you just have to remove from EPMA schema/database.

  If so... then you must also remove the development plan and planning database app is associated.

  If your journal and SR Oracle Support has documentation on that.
