Play Flash videos

Whenever I try to watch a flash video, I receive a message to install the latest version.  I got the latest version 11.7.700.169.  So I tried to uninstall and put it back, hoping that would solve the problem.  Well it didn't.  Now when I look at the list of uninstall in Control Panel, only the ActiveX will appear.  What happened to the Flash Player?  He said that it has been installed successfully!

What is your browser?  If the Internet Explorer check

If you use another browser such as Firefox, you will need to install the plugin separately.

I am unable to play content flash facebook or CNN video. I use Firefox 31 and Flash 14.0.0.179 (32-bit) running Windows 7 Pro. I also have the 64-bit version installed for use with internet explore. These videos play fine in internet explorer but not in Firefox. Videos CNN stopped play in Firefox months ago and Facebook stopped in recent days.

I started Firefox in safe mode, reset Firefox, uninstalled and reinstalled flash and uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of realplayer (found this suggestion online). So far, nothing worked.

Just CNN videos freeze once the Player control bar appears at the bottom of the frame. Advertising plays, but it hangs at the start of the video of actual news.

Facebook displays the thumbnail for the video (no AutoPlay as it does in IE will) and when you click it you get the pop-up window with the user comments for the right, but just a black square where has to play the video.

If I right click and go to settings for flash, when I click on disable hardware acceleration, it reactivates it as soon as I click on close on the setting screen. When I return to the parameters of the box is checked again.

Accidents or other problems with some multimedia content in Firefox (for example, videos from Youtube and Flash animations or games) can often be solved by doing as in these Knowledge Base articles:

On Windows Vista and above all, you can disable protected Flash mode by following the instructions on these pages:

  • Dear all, I can not play the flash videos from any website through firefox because it freezes, but when I run firefox as administrator, then it works fine (but Google Chrome plays all the videos normally.). I use Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Help, pleas

    Dear all,
Firefox crashes when I try to play flash videos from any website, but when I run firefox as administrator, it works very well. (but Google Chrome, Opera & I.E9 video parts without administrator.) I use Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Help, please.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Satellite A200-10Z (PSAE0E) - blue screen when I try to play the video

    Hey Geeks,

I have a serious problem; I use my laptop for the last 3 years with no problems, but since yesterday, it the BSOD every time you try to play flash videos or youtube. I tried to update the version of adobe flash after unstalling the existing drive flash but when even the reason persisted. Finally, I reinstalled the 32-bit version of Windows Vista from the recovery of the product back up drive after I lost all my data, guess what the problem has not disappeared. I can't play youtube videos?

I think it's maybe a problem with the BIOS update, this could be a corrupt problem display driver or should I think that there is a hardware problem as such. Is the existing graphics card Mobile Intel (r) Express Chipset family 945GM. I tried to update the BIOS from the Toshiba support site, but there is no available for Satellite A200-10Z update. So point is should I try to reinstall the operating system once more, or should I be given the laptop to a service center to check any malfunction of the equipment.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

Generally speaking, it is not easy to say why this happens, but if you have already tried a restore of the Toshiba Recovery disk system and the problem still exists, it looks like more of a hardware malfunction. The recovery disk contains a pre-tested picture to factory settings, so everything should work correctly in the case otherwise it seems to be a hardware problem.

But he s strange why this happens only with videos. What you might try before contacting an authorized service provider is updated the display driver. Have a look at the Toshiba website, if a newer version is available for your laptop.

    Good luck! :)

I have a guitar tutorial on my website. I have a lot of 1 minute flash videos that can be viewed. Right now I use javascript to open a new browser to view each video... This means that there are different screens (video) for each video. How to use 1 simple video player to play flash videos? so, when I click on a playlist video shows in the same player? I don't know if this can be understood without an example of Mr. I want just 1 video player on my page and a link or playlist to play the videos in the same drive... Sorry if it does not make sense!

  • Click-to-play is active, but the Flash videos still play automatically

On my old computer (Windows 7, with Firefox 32.0.3), click-to-play stop Flash video to play unless I click on the piece of lego next to the URL bar. However, on my new computer (also Windows 7, with Firefox 32.0.3), Flash videos play automatically, even if the click-to-play is enabled. The part of little lego displays next to the URL bar, but when I click it, he asks me if I want to block Flash, not if I want to activate.

When I try to play the video (e.g. YouTube), Firefox is crashing, freezing and I can't do anything until I have kill plugin-container.
What have you done with my browser favorite? I hate the Chrome... When Google create it... all browsers are the same that Chrome now... WTF? The good old Mozilla Firefox got the same style of shit and it crashes all the time that I start to play the video.

Reinstall the flash plugin does not work.
Disable all other extensions or the cleaning of all that is not the problem at all.
My CPU and RAM are jaded by Firefox, in particular by the plugin container which floods the ram. All other software runs perfectly on this machine.
12 Firefox with Flash official version 11.2 (of Adobe), x 86 Win 7, 4 GB of RAM, Intel Core2Duo 2.2 GHz on improved HP 6710 b

I have the same version of Firefox on my desktop PC (AMD X 2 5600 + 2.81 GHz, 4 GB RAM) and it works great!

You can try 11.2 Flash you can download it via this link:

Blue death screen / system crash when you try to play the video or to copy an image from the internet

On further study, please do not go on the road to perdition as I trod.

However, to do this: go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and right CLICK on the logo that is being charged. THEN: Navigate down until "settings", click it, and you should have the choice: "disable hardware acceleration". NOTE: If you do NOT have this choice, study the icons down quickly: on MY screen, the left-most is an icon that looks like a video monitor: click on it and give you the opportunity to "disable hardware acceleration".

It works, if you can get it done before you get a BSOD! AND do not take the life of your computer in your hands by updating your video drivers. I do not really recommend doing that!

  • Flash player is installed, but cannot get a flash video to play

I use a 64-bit version of vista and I can not get any flash video to play.  It shows that I have flash player installed, but it does not work.  When I click on the adobe link, which fills the video area it says that flash is not supported for 64-bit system.  I did something to my computer yesterday and managed to get the video to play, but he returned to does not after that I disconnected.  Help, please

    Hi Breeyear54,

Welcome to the responses of Microsoft Windows Vista forums.

Adobe has not yet a version of Flash for Vista 64-bit.

    It's the Adobe Web site:

Adobe Flash Player not is not supported for playback in a 64-bit browser. However, you can run Flash Player in a 32-bit browser running on a 64-bit operating system.

    Reason

Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64 bit as part of our ongoing commitment to cross-platform Flash Player compatibility. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in a future version of Flash Player, Flash Player 10 now.

    Solution

To use Flash Player to view Flash content on a 64-bit system, you must run a 32-bit browser. To run the browser 32-bit to 64-bit machine follow these steps.

    -Click Start > computer > C: drive > Program Files (x 86) > Internet Explorer > iexplore.exe
