  We need more information to be able to help you with this question.
  -What version of Vista are you running?
  -What is the name of the program you want to open?
  -Do you need to connect to the Internet to run the program?
  -Is the program compatible with Windows Vista? You can click here to see the Windows Vista Compatibility Center.
  -Have you tried to click with the right button on the program file and select 'run as administrator '?
  -Have you tried running it in compatibility mode?

  If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.
  Use the following steps:
  (1) right click on the program
  2) click Properties
  3) click on the Compatibility tab
  (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP or other system that the program has been run successfully operating.

  Well I too struggled get up the store and running, with the error code 0x80072ee7. But I found an easy solution.

  • first of all, in search type services
  • then on the services window select store windows services
  • right click and press start .

  I finally found the answer - I need to uncheck the "copy protect music" in the tools/options - tab music copy in media player!

  I can't believe that the system is so sensitive and so poor error messages. I don't know how the box checked in the first place, but now I have to spend hours to re-rip my CD to put on my Surface! hum Ho!

  I have an application that I downloaded from the App Store of Windows 8 (RTM version), who has recently had an update, but Windows Store could not be updated and returned the error code 80070057 0 x.  But after the update failed, Windows Store still lists old as installed APP and calls the updated application.  I tried reapplying the update but it keeps fails with the error 0 x 80070057.  I tried to look for ways to uninstall it, but the Live tile has been removed from the home screen (not listed under all the Apps either), so there is no way to uninstall it.  Now I'm stuck with Windows Store perpetually asking the updated application.
  Does anyone know how to uninstall a Windows 8 application without the Live tile?  Thank you.
