Playback of Albums into tracks

I noticed this weekend when playing an album through AT4 albums where the tracks have been dismantled into parts have a click or gap inbetween tracks. The tracks do not play flawless, as they say on an iPod.

For example, I have a few albums of Jean-Michel Jarre who play gaplessly on my devices OS but have a standard deviation of reading on the tracks "joined" the gaps in reading have so the AT4 (titles are not gapless as as they are broken down into "First party", "Second party" etc..)

Playback on OS devices is gapless, but on AT4 it treats them as standard titles with a second 1 gap between the two during playback of the entire album.

Is it possible to change it without having to merge the tracks when importing from CD in a 40-minute track?

I saw nothing on the Apple TV to change the experience. I could not have looked hard enough of course, but generally, I know where most of the settings are.

  • iTunes divides into two album

Anyone know why, when I imported an album into iTunes, it was imported in two albums, that of the 1-way and one of the 17 (18 tracks on the original album)

If you see unexpected songs groups when you browse an album - https://support.apple.com/HT204538 - 'songs from the same album may not be grouped as expected when you view them in display Albums in iTunes."

The following sections provide additional solutions.

Steve MacGuire alias turingtest2 - iTunes and iPod tips and tricks - grouping beaches in Albums - http://www.samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/grouping.asp (old post on Apple Discussions http://discussions.apple.com/message/9910895#9910895)

Quick response: select all the tracks on the album, file > info (or right-click > news > Details) and give them all a single "album artist", or check the indicator of "compilation" (as in https://discussions.apple.com/message/17670085#17670085).

If they are several CD sets, you will also need to enter the appropriate information in the fields of number of disk.  If they are not a set of multiple CDs that you must always make sure any vacuum or disc number fields are properly defined.

    Another explanation of hhgttg27 August 2015 - https://discussions.apple.com/message/27784417#27784417

If they won't even really check this August 2008 post by turingtest2 group temporarily change labels - https://discussions.apple.com/message/7904806#7904806 or http://www.samsoft.org.uk/iTunes/merge.asp - add a letter at the end of the name of the artist, close the read information, then open it again and remove the letter. This works often but I had cases where securities combined when a letter has been added but divorced when he was kidnapped again.

If they are mp3 files are trying to change the version of the ID3 tag, which can cause iTunes to re - write the tags and clarify inconsistencies.  I use iTunes 7.5 (Yes, from 2007) so I can't tell you where it is in later versions.

I had a case of grouping stubborn reality.  The tracks will be re-group in a way that has no meaning when I changed metadata.  Without going into details, I deleted tracks iTunes completely, then add the files and they are all grouped together correctly.

  • I have a MacBook, and itunes does not read the cd, the track or album titles.

I have a MacBook Pro and when I try to import a music CD into my iTunes library, iTunes not read the album or track titles.  I've seen other messages on re - install iTunes, problems with Gracenote and be connected to the internet.  My computer is connected to the internet and Gracenote is still not read the CD.  Is there a solution for this other than to manually enter the tracks on the album and track names?

  • How to add data to a track to match the album data

Hi people. I have a separate track that I want to add to an album by the same artists, but listening on "Get Info" shows a track doesn't have the name of the album or artists, only the name of the track. I had to convert the real album of FLAC to MP3, then the separate track was already a MP3 format. I have now from the real album with all relevant data, so that the separate all in the same album, but the separate track track did not have the relevant data and I don't know how to add this data as any I can open it with is using "Get Info" but which cannot be modified and regardless of how many times I added the album ALL tracks including this one "separated", to iTunes to burn, iTunes will 'separate' track in the same album so I can burn. I was able to change a titles info by iTunes so that his now identical to the rest of the album but iTunes don't put in the same album! the only thing I can think is lacking data on this one track before you add it to iTunes, but cannot find a way to do it. Or did I miss something about iTunes?

I need this sorting asap too please if anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful thank you

    Puretoon,

The use of Get Info is the right way to edit track information.  If it is not allowing you to make changes, make sure that the audio file is not set to "ReadOnly."

In addition, you can burn an audio CD, even if the tags are not quite right.  He just put the titles in an iTunes playlist in the order you want, and then choose file > burn Playlist to disc.

  • How to prevent consolidation of library for reader albums multimedia windows into alphabetical groups?

my WMP library 12/11 keep my albums into alphabetical groups of grouping. for example... Albums starting with A under (a), ect ect.

I tried clicking all coloums and choosing sort by «...» "and verified that there where no files hidden.

He only started to do once I've added a few other albums from my library, then it should do it automatically after a certain number of albums have been added... Is there a way to turn it off all together?

sound very similar to go to my computer, right click in an empty space in the xplorer and choosing "group name".

    EDIT: Here is a picture.

    http://Tinypic.com/r/14obxo6/5

The Group may be disabled with the Windows Media Player Plus! plugin. After installing the plug-in, go to Tools - plugin properties - Windows Media Player Plus! (press Ctrl + M, if you don't see the Tools menu). Then, make sure that disable the headers of group in the library pane and click OK . Tim Baets

  • order of songs on an album with more of a drive

So I have a couple of older CD which are divided into two discs. The numbering system gets all messed up when I import the CD (there are two follow-up 1s, two follow 2s, two follow 3s, etc. and none of the songs are in the order of what they are on real discs). Is there a way to have disc one and two appear as a sort of category in the title of the album even record and list the tracks in the order appropriate on itunes? Or is there a quick way to reorganize without having to do it manually like the particular CD, I have problems with 2 discs, 36 songs? Or do I have to split the album into two separate albums (something I had really enough not to do..)?

I hope this makes sense and I appreciate all the answers in advance!

Move-click on the disc select a title, read the information, then fill in the fields of disk so it says disk 1 of 2. Then do the same for the other tracks of the disc so it says disk 2 of 2.

You can also separate them by adding the disc 1, disc 2 to the tracks on the album, or change the numbers of tracks on the 2nd disc while they are a continuation of the sequence of th of the 1st disk (for example, you'll find yourself with tracks 1 to 36).

  • Album art disappears for songs from the same album.

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with AirPlay on Apple TV (4th generation)

Album art perfectly fine poster to a playlist in which each subsequent song has a different album cover than the preceding.

If, however, I play 2 or more songs in succession from the same album (and with the same cover), the album cover displays the playback of the first track and then disappears to the other songs on this album. Album art does not appear again until a song on a new album (with different cover art) is selected.

If you want to report your experience to Apple, you can send them your feedback here, choose 'Report a problem' in the menu type of feedback.

  • Songs played in reverse order in mode 'album.

    iTunes on El Capitan.

'Album' mode, listen to songs backwards. For example - if I start playback on the 10th track on the album, the song played is number 9, etc.

In addition, the "buttons" PREVIOUS and NEXT are switched. If I click NEXT, he plays the PREVIOUS song, and vice versa. ***?

This happens only in album mode.

    See you soon.

This seems to be a long-standing bug that occurs when specific sort orders are selected for Albums (for example, if ordered by year descending sequence) and you start playing a song from an album - this seems to be a side effect of the order happening in view of songs (where sort descending year also reverses order of track number).  Play the album itself should get the order correct independent of the sort order.

There was a discussion of this issue during the Forum of Windows a couple of days - it seems that the bug has been present in iTunes for several years.  May be, however, with a value of reporting via the iTunes Feedback page.

  • Problems with FLAC and blank tracks

I'm not sure how the word this problem, so if it has already been covered, I apologize.

I'm trying to load a mixture of FLAC and MP3 on my rocket. I have all the songs are sorted into folders by artist and then album. Some FLACs tags are recognized. They have all been published by new version of WinAmp.

I was wondering if the file naming scheme makes a difference, so I re-named them. It wasn't the problem, but he reveals another problem where once a file is placed on the "rocket", any manipulation of this file is not recognized. If I re - name, the "rocket" simply sees the old file name. He can still play, however.

If I delete the file, the "rocket" recognizes SOMETHING. What is there appears as a Virgin artist, album and track on the "rocket". If I try to play the lost files, it simply ignores them until you reach another file that is completely "there". If I try to delete these ghost files, the player blocks until finally shut down. The phantom items are represented by apparently random characters. Once, they were '+' sign, and twice, they were ' > ' and '='.

I tried to change the content of the "rocket of" Rhapsody, but it does not recognize the FLAC, so it is useless.

    amartincolby wrote:

After your comment about automatic detection, I went and changed to MSC. It evokes the "rocket" as a drive, now, as opposed to a media player. Explorer Windows now says that the 'Music' folder is empty.

Files loaded in MTP mode does not appear in MSC mode.   And viscaversa.

Do all your tag / changes of the name of the file on the computer, and then copy and replace the files of the "rocket" (at PSG), not sure of MSC.

When you delete a song.  You disconnect the "rocket", and it updates its database?   But you still see the name in the game menu?  The "rocket" makes a database and displays for the selection, I think it might be corrupted.     Format and reload your music should fix it.

    See you soon,.

  • A few tracks on a CD Windows Media Player 12 will play but not others

I downloaded an album on Amazon.com MP3 to my computer.  After you download the Amazon MP3 default folder, I cut and pasted into the folder my music to the title of the appropriate artist.  Before ever opening Windows Media Player, I've renamed some of the tracks so that some were marked [Explicit].  Then I opened Windows Media Player to play the music.  Ironically, the ones I renamed plays very well, but the other tracks (unmodified) on the same CD are not recognized.  If I navigate to the folder of the album, a track, right-click and select "Add to Windows Media Player list" this will work in the drive.  But if I click on the album in the drive, it cannot recognize the path.  Huh?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI: Using Windows 7, Windows Media Player 12

  • Sort by album iphone playlists

I have several hundred playlists on my iPhone and iPad (mini). There is a reading list for each artist. A large containing more than one album. The albums are listed by track number. During the evolution of iTunes on the iPhone (5 - OS 9.3.1) of playlists have been reorganized by various updates to sort by title of the song in the playlist. I use playlists during my morning walks and would like to have sorted by number of album and track within the album. It's maddening to hear the same song several times in a row if it appears on several albums. I was able to use the PC iTunes playlists, but I can't get the arranged playlists to sync to my iPhone. Home sharing is on.

I can drag the 'correctly sorted' playlist PC to the iPhone connected. A playlist in doubles with the same name is created. I can then delete the offending playlist and all is well in the world (until the next update). The problem is that I don't want to have to do this (do drag, open, check, and delete playlists) to several hundred artists, this is a way to sort on the iPhone.

I read a lot of posts with similar but not identical problems and have tried most of the solutions that have been posted in the past two years. None have worked for me.

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Playlists in iTunes have a correctly called the order of play. It is normally the order in which items are added to the list, but you can sort a list on a column of your choice and then right click on the name of the playlist in the left column and click on copy to Play Order. The best column to sort on will usually be the Album I would normally set to the Album of the artist. If it is currently drafted Album or an Album of artist by year, click on the column position again.

Once you have playlists set up the way you want them in iTunes I would recommend that you configure your device to synchronize with selected playlists. This avoids all the problems with drag content manually power the unit on and off.

The phone already has mechanisms that allow you to read individual albums or songs by an artist through the albums and artists of the menus, so it is not necessary to reproduce these collections with playlists.
