Please help me master!

Hello, I have a problem on my Windows Server 2003. I have 2 partition which are C and D. C is my system and D is my data. My C is short of space, and I want to extend it. But I can't do it with third-party partitioning tools because it is impossible to expand on the hard drive of the system. What should I do? Please help me...

Thank you.

Hi rayzz23,

If you want to extend the size of the c: which is your system partition for windows 2003, please perform the following steps:

1. power off the virtual machine.

2 detach the hard disk of the virtual machine. (Right-click the virtual machine-> the settings of-> remove the HDD)

3. attach this disc to one of the other virtual machine to Windows 2003 as a data disc.

4 put the drive in disk management line.

5. follow the steps in the Kb to expand the size of the disk. VMware KB: expand partitions in Windows using DiskPart

6 detach this virtual machine's disk, attach it to the original virtual machine and turn on.
