Please I can't find any backup program in my windows xp.
so, how can I backup my data? and even when I backup using Norton online
If you are running XP Home, XP Backup utility does not automatically get installed - you have to install it yourself.
If you're using a Norton/Symantec product and operations of backup/restore fails, you should probably take with them.
There are also problems with the Norton/Symantec product and XP System Restore feature.
Here's how to install the XP Backup program if you use XP Home:
The backup program is automatically installed on XP Professional, but not on XP Home. If you have the genuine bootable XP Home installation CD, insert it into your system and navigate to this folder:
\ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP
Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file to start the installation.
Here is a nice article from Microsoft which tell you all this:
http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=302894
Here is another article that explains how to:
http://www.winxptutor.com/Ntbackup.htm
If you don't have an installation CD and need to download the Ntbackup.msi file, here is the link:

Whenever I boot Windows XP (fully updated), I get a message saying that 'wasuoba.dll' is missing. I can't find any information what so ever on this .dll file any where. Help, please!
As I said, my Windows XP is fully updated. I get this error for a while now, so not sure what has caused it and when I started to do.
In general, I was ignorant, but recently my PC feels like it becomes less stable.I'm surprised that it returns no results on any search engine.

Assuming that your spelling is correct, your computer is probably infected by malicious software. Download, update and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

Backup and restore cannot find any backup sets.
I had to reinstall windows 7 prof 64 using the original recovery partition and want to restore my data files that I had backed up using the backup and restore windows. The files are on a network drive. "When I run the restore I have 'Browse' the network choose the folder labeled" backup files aaaa-mm-jj xxxxxx "but it comes back with the error message: Windows could not find the backup sets on \\xxxxx please select a different location.
Early research indicated it could be a permissions problem and the network drive is not a Microsoft Windows type disk I copied the folder and all the files on my C: drive and checked that they were all showing all permissions to all the users/system/everyone etc. I tried again. Same result. I tried now selection of locations right differnet down the folder hierarchy (for example: in 'Catalogue' records and individual records date) but still get the same message.
I realize that I could go in the individual zip files and restore everything manually, but the backup set has 9 different files and 525 zip datr files each with a tree long through the files of the hard disk C: before getting to the part of My Documents with data.
It would be so much easier than Microsofts back/restore program does what it is supposed to do. The only references I found in the web site of Support MS concerned questions of authorisation and in ensuring that the original folder is in the format "Yyyy-mm-dd of backup files xxxxxx" I've done both.
Any help gratefully received.

Original title: restoration of Windows can't find the backup sets
I solved the problem. It seems that, for a new installation (reinstallation of the operating system), it is necessary to set up a backup to the location of the original backup. After saving the new facility in the same place as the old backups, older backups are available to be applied.

I have 1700 messages in my folder "sent mail" Outlook Express. How can I remove them? I can't find any option to do so.
Click on one to select it, and then Ctrl + A will highlight all. Right-click | Remove.
You can add remove button of the toolbar or use the keyboard as well delete key.
After your done, compact your folders.
Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
Compress your OE folders:
http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact********************************
General precautions for Outlook Express:
Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.
Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Windows was not able to find any backup sets
My hard drive crashed yesterday. I knew it was coming and made a full backup of the system using Microsoft Backup and Restore last thing before it crashed. I backed up on my external hard drive. I replaced the failed hard drive and reinstalled Windows Vista Ultimate x 32. Now when I go to the backup and restore, select Advanced Restore > Advanced Restore > files from a backup made on another computer > FreeAgent drive (f) (the name of the external HD), I get the error message "Windows could not find any backup sets on F:\.» Please select a different location. »
I can see various research (executed on another, operating system Windows 7, because I have no internet access on my computer that has only Windows Vista and nothing else installed on drive hard nine), I can not completely a cumbersome process involving download Virtual Server 2005 that it works, but I seem to not be able to find the download file to actually download.
Download Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 SP1 here:

I can't find any information about the type of server type server incoming or outgoing so that I can set up an e-mail account to windows on the yahoo site.
Here are instructions to configure Yahoo in Windows Mail in Vista: http://www.freeemailtutorials.com/vistaWindowsMail/setupYahooMailInWindowsMail.php. It includes the server settings you requested. I don't know if they are the same with other e-mail programs, but that's what comes with Vista and you're in a Forum of Vista so I took my best shot at the choice of this particular option to present.
There are many other tutorials and articles on how to set up the account depending on what e-mail program you are using and what type of Yahoo email account you have. Go to http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=Amc3Rw9f2u0uuHTa9.YBe0SbvZx4?fr=yfp-t-701-s&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF8&p=yahoo%20email%20settings%20for%20windows%20mail and enter your question as "for Windows Live Mail, the e-mail settings" or "for Outlook 2007, the settings of e-mail"or what you use.» Check the results, and then search for tutorials on the option that you use. Again, whether or not you can do depends on the type of account Yahoo Mail you have (some are not available with the free version). I can't any more detailed data without setting up an account of myself (and I don't want one). I can't help you further with your search because you did not provide the e-mail program, you are using or the version of Vista you are using.
I hope this helps. If you need more information, give me more information.
Good luck!

Problems of Windows 8 pilots.
I just installed Windows 8 preview of developer on a virtual machine, I have an ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 motherboard. The problem is that I can't find any windows 8 compatible LAN drivers for it. All solutions?Given that Windows 8 has not been released yet not all drivers will work with him. Some drivers are very precise on the version of operating system, you may need to wait until they release the pilots of Windows 8 (if they make it to your model).
If the drivers do not install, try their installation in compatibility mode.
Troubleshoot Compatibility
This can help with some (but not all the) programs/drivers:
(1) uninstall the program, if it is already installed. Then when install you / reinstall instead of double click on the Setup file, right click and select 'resolve compatibility issues.
(2) then click on 'Try recommended settings' and in the next window, click on "Start the Program" to install it.
(3) after he set up see if it works properly. Note: some programs are perhaps not able to run in Windows 8. -

I can't find any help to fix my information bar in Windows Mail. It's like a split screen display. A suspected email "phishing" shows the warning in pink on the left side but right, I can still see the partial list of the names of "recipients" email & addresses. The button to unlock does not at all. There is no error message and it started 2 days ago. Do I need to reinstall the program, and if I do, could you provide me with information on how to configure Windows Mail once more.
Thank you!
Windows Update forced the installation of IE 9, and that's why you see the problems. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#15 for workarounds.

Backup files Vista - "Windows could not find any backup sets [file path]."
I have a Vista computer. The hard drive broke so until I replaced it I backed up all the files on the computer to another computer running Windows 7. I did it in the backup and Restore Center. I made a backup of files, not a full backup of the system (I've seen the full backup of the system mentioned in other posts, but that was not an option... maybe which is only available on Vista Premium). In any case, I replaced the hard drive and then try to restore the files, but I get the message "Windows could not find any backup sets [file path]." Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
Here is an article on the restore procedure:http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right. It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your process more closely than would a full restore.
Here is an article on the advanced use of restoration (during normal restore does not work):http://www.mayankraichura.com/post/2009/08/06/Avdvanced-Restore-via-Windows-Vista-Backup-and-Restore-Center.aspx.
Restore files from a backup

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-and-restore-frequently-asked-questionsI also found the following (but don't know if it of true or not):
1. after the start of "backup and Restore Center."
2. I chose "Advanced Restore"
3. I was did not an administrator password... maybe because my account is an administrator account.
4 choose "files from a backup made on a different computer.
5. in the dialog box indicating "Select the location of the backup to restore", select "hard drive, CD or DVD...". »
6. under the drop-down list box, select your drive/partition and continue
7. If all the backups on your drive, it will show a list of them.
8. in my case, he showed a backup, but in the backup location, it will show "backup location is not available."
9. I was frustrated, but then I somehow just select this backup (Yes... even if he said that thebackup location is not available " ")
10. and you press "next".
11 guess what... no error!
12. a window appeared asking me if I wanted to do a full restore, or I want to select specific folders or files.
13. I selected the folders I wanted to restore and bingo... it their restored smoothly.
14. so that the next time see a mistake, try to continue with him... ;)
I don't know if this will help, but it does not provide much information about the process (when it works). I hope you find any error or discrepancy in your procedure and it will clear up and allow you to restore.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!
