  I'm leaving now official teed - with miserable attempt to Adobe customer service. I can't get the Twain software for my Canon scanner open inside Photoshop. I've lived your "Chat with an agent" and your "call an agent' for nothing doesn't." A 'senior' tech person was supposed to call me today to address the issue and not a glance.   I have a brand new installation of Creative Cloud PS for a Mac with the latest operating system from Apple, Mountain Lion and brand new drivers for my scanner Canon and there is no reason why Adobe shouldn't be able to get up and go.

  If Adobe expect me to pay a premium for their software, they should have the honesty to help me make it work properly.

  In Mac OS, you can use the TWAIN plugin to scan when you run Photoshop CS6 (Photoshop CS6 only runs in 64-bit mode). Not many manufacturers scanner recorded their drivers scanner 64 bit versions, you cannot use TWAIN.

  TED talks, videos, AOL and others will start with a flash of the video, then off. The audio continues. I deleted the plugins flash and quicktime - no luck. I restarted Firefox in safe mode and it works fine. I then rebooted and disabled all the plugins - no luck. Internet Explorer works fine.

  One of the characteristics of Safe Mode is that it disables use of Firefox hardware acceleration of graphics. This method works around incompatibilities with some graphics driver software.

  What Did I Do? I refreshed Firefox...

  (1) pluginreg.dat deleted
  (2) threw in the folder an old copy of pluginreg.dat from when he worked
  restarting and it picked up everything.

• Toshiba 47L7453DG - CEC does not properly using exernal amplifier

  I bought Toshiba 47L 7453 a few days ago.

  It is connected to the amplifier Onkyo TX-NR535 but CEC does not properly. Volume control works fine but On / Off or stanby does not at all.

  My previous TV Toshiba 42XV635DG was communicated by the CEC with the Onkyo even without any problem.

  The wire connection is HDMI 1.4 certified.
  Maybe the problem is with the firmware of the TV.

  Maybe someone had the same problem.

  From my point of few TV and amplifier are connected some CEC (Volume control) functions that work. I think you should check the auto power settings and HDMI CEC standby control system.
