Plugin stopped on a Web page

Out of curiosity, when a plugin (Flash for example) stops on a Web page, the options 'Continue' or 'Stop running this plugin' developed.

If "Stop the execution of this plug-in" is selected and it has several 'windows' open:

1. the plug-in be stopped on all the "Windows Open" or just the "affected Web page window?

2. all the 'open windows' must be closed and reopened, or the affected Web page window so that the plug-in again?

3 will again automatically the plug-in when the page beginning Web and/or other windows is / are reopened or should it be restarted manually for each window?

have you checked?

I was pretty clear, go to the page of the addon and see if the plug has been disabled after the tab is closed.

If not, then it will work on other open windows!

  • Firefox stops download of Web pages

Firefox works fine for a few minutes and then stops just reload och opening new tabs. My other browsers work fine and have a good internet connection. When I then try to restart firefox, it shows that the process is open in the background and will not restart. So, I guess it's some sort of accident.

It may be worth trying with the disabled Norton toolbar, this kind of thing has sometimes been associated with problems of Firefox. If you use a Norton toolbar, it should be the latest version available.

As a general troubleshooting step try firefox in Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode using only the default theme and with all plugins disabled. Do NOT make changes in the first window options on what you see to the safe mode, just click continue. If the problem disappears, then it has reduced what to look down.

  • videos on web pages stop playing after 5 seconds

I just installed Windows XP Home Edition on an old Dell (Dimension s 4500) computer.  Most things work well; However, I notice that all the videos on websites play for about 5 seconds and then stops.  The full video continues to be downloaded and can be restarted by clicking on a different location on the timeline - after which he played for 5 seconds.  This happens with Internet Explorer and Firefox and all the sites I've tried.

It seems I missed some setting somewhere.  Any ideas?

Earlier, I posted a question on playback of videos from web pages (" videos to stop web pages play after 5 seconds '). " Since then, I have studied the possible fixes on Windows sites as well as the Dell support pages (the computer is a 4500 s Dell dimension running Windows XP Home Edition). All responses/advice found do not seem to solve my problem. All drivers and all plugins are here and up to date. The problem is not caused by lack of bandwidth or buffer - download videos at a reasonable speed. It's just that they will play only about 5 seconds. Then they stop and not restart by themselves.

In addition, the videos have played very well until I reinstalled Windows XP from a boot disk, so I'm sure that all the works of material.

It's driving me crazy! Can anyone help? Please, I beg you! »

I wonder if it's a snap in IE and Firefox. You can try and disable them and see what happens.

  • Half way through a web page, HTML stops returned

I have an internal web page, and one of my users reported to me that it seemed wrong to Firefox 5.0.

Page just a VERY simple HTML. He doesn't use CSS, but there are tags with the specified colors. The code was generated by the code, is completely uniform from line to line. Everything renders correctly for as many lines and then all of a sudden the HTML stops rendering and the remaining content of the file is displayed in plain text. You can easily view the page Source and make sure the code is intact and correct. I am baffled by this problem that doesn't seem to affect Firefox 5.o.

Even if it is an internal web page, I made a publicly available version in case someone would like to take a peek. Any ideas you have will be appreciated!

    http://pulseofradio.com/public/posts/test.asp

I think that you do not close your color tags ARE correctly. For example:

    <FONT face='arial' size=-1>6/13/2011 5:02:52 AM(EST): <STRONG><FONT COLOR='RED'>WUUQ </STRONG></FONT><FONT COLOR='BLACK'>logged in as: <STRONG><FONT COLOR='RED'>prepcw6 </STRONG></FONT><FONT COLOR='BLACK'> from <STRONG><FONT COLOR='RED'>66.18.36.6 </STRONG></FONT><FONT COLOR='BLACK'><HR>

When you start a series of BLACK, you're not end it. Each line ends with a color tag ARE open. This translates into deep nesting which apparently is higher than a threshold in Firefox.

Second, you've been through the STRONG tags and FONTS:

    <STRONG><FONT>text node</STRONG></FONT>

    This would be better written:

    <STRONG><FONT>text node</FONT></STRONG>

For efficiency, if the STRONG tags are always red, you can use CSS and get rid of all the font color tags.

    <style type="text/css"> body {color:black} strong {color:red} </style>
