I just upgraded to Firefox 15 and have noticed a problem in rendering png files. I rebooted, cleared the cache, run in safe mode, nothing works. I saw the same files with IE 9, and they look very good. I also copied the files on the desktop before displaying their but the problem remains of rendering. I have attached a jpg showing cropped images of FF and IE on the http://www.petapixel.com/ site and also attached the original png file.

  • Write that VI PNG file will not replace the existing file

    Hi all

I use VI file PNG write to store the graph in a png file. I am able to save the file with a specific file name, which includes the date, model number, serial number etc.. Once the chart is saved as a png file, if I make changes in the graph (as autoscale, turn captions etc.) and try again to save the file with the same file name, write PNG leader VI does not save the changes I made on the chart. I'm looking at the timestamp on the windows Explorer, but it is not updated. I opened the VI itself (which is write protected) to see if it generates an error if I provided the same file name, but it does not generate an error.

I don't know if I am missing anything.

Can you people please help me find a way to replace the existing PNG file?

I'm using LabVIEW 2013 on Win 7 machine.

p.s. I use the second method mentioned in this article:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/5AE4ADCBB65A6D8F86256FBF007A1AC1

(Programmatically with the Get Image method).

You are also looking at the image itself? Explorer Windows cannot update the timestamp in the display immediately, or you might be looking at creation time, which doesn't seem to change when you replace a file.

I can say that I saw a similar question very recently (he was also PNG, even if it's not really relevant), and here it certainly crushes - http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/LAVA-snippet-overwrite-keeps-old-date-time-of-png-file/m-p/3257059#M...

  • Writing PNG file failed when build exe, but operate normally on the development platform

See photo below, it is used to call WinAPI for screenshot and then save it in PNG file. This Vi operate normally on the flatform of development, but it failed when building the application .exe file. The pop-up dialog error 'chain of illegal path, OS', but it is clear that the path is correct. Note: run the same PC with Win XP.

    Update:

I found the reason, but not a solution. In fact, the Clipboard.Get Image does not work when building application exe. But it's the private node invoke, impossible to get support of NOR.

It seems to be to the node to invoke public on the version of LabVIEW 2012, which can help you check on LV2012 version? Thank you very much.

  • take screenshot and saves the image to a PNG file

    Hello

How do I take screenshot and save the image as a PNG file?

    Thank you

    Avivit.

If you want a picture of façade one VI, you can use the method to obtain images of Panel (or the Tool of Capture of Code, which offers a range of screws for this).

If you want a picture of the entire screen, you can simulate a button on the print screen, using the method of Clipboard.Get Image Application class to get a picture of the contents of the Clipboard. If you are looking for "screenshot" you should probably find a few examples already.

  • problem with the READING of the PNG FILE

I read a file png - one photo with transperent back polished - READ the PNG file and display them in my program using a function to draw the flattened Pixmap.

I get a very dark black background color - in the image created.

How can I solve this problem?

    Please give your suggestions

    Thanks in advance

    RENN

    RENN,

Probably you monitor is too dark, and you should just increase the brightness a bit?

Seriously, when you post this question - its always goot to include an example. In this case: picture a) and b) source code snippet - how do you use it?

    Look here--I don't have a big problems:

The only small problem semitransparent is not taken in charge. You must set the threshold (which amounts to default 127).

    See attached example.

    Kind regards

  • Extracted from LAVA - crush keeps old date/time of the png file

I don't know if this is a bug, or to behave like that.

Scenario: create an extract using the tool of LAVA. I just use the same name (and path) of an existing png file that was created by the same LAVA tool a few days before also (so I replaced the original file). I opened the case, and to quickly find the newly created excerpt, I ordered the files as a descendant by time and date. To my surprise I couldn't find the code snippet in the upper part. The reason was that the new file kept the date/time from the original one.

This is a really minor thing, but it made me curious. Under windows, when I rename a file, it retains the original timestamp. However when I crush him, it updates.

    LabVIEW 2015 (32-bit),

    Code Capture Tool v3.2.1 - 46 lava

As I said, look at the code of the COMMON customs tariff. The only thing I can think of that would make it interesting is the code snippet, which is a flow within the PNG file, something that the VI of shipment is not compatible. I don't know more how it's done exactly - it might be created under the PNG in memory and then writes to the file directly or can be injected into the file after shipping VI saves it.

Either way, I just did a test fast in Notepad and if I do record under and tell him to replace an existing file, the date of the creation of this file does not seem to change so this seems to be normal behavior for Windows. I don't know if the Windows API file deletes the file and creates a new or simply modifies the existing file when you perform this operation.

    ========================================
You're almost there... try the following steps...

Your work on the screen left click the "Snapshot"...

The screen 'save data such as' will launch and you can enter
a backup location and a file name for your project.

Left click on the Save"" button.

(OK... This is the step that you missed)

After having left clicked the button 'save'... your pointer turns into a
Cross + if you click left or made to drag a rectangle around the area you
want to save... When you release the mouse, the graph button
will be saved in .png format.

  • Windows Photo Viewer stopped opening PNG files

Using Windows 7, 64 bit. Windows Photo Viewer no longer displays one. PNG file. He has always worked in the past. I get the error message

Windows Photo Viewer cannot open this picture because the file seems corrupted, altered, or is too large.

A similar message is obtained from Windows Live Photo Gallery

Microsoft Picture Manager is OK, like paint, Irfanview, Picasa and many other programs.

I've updated MS .NET to 4.5 as suggested in another post.

This also affects the ability of the Explorer to display thumbnails when the photo viewer is the default program for PNG.

Your system ceased to display PNG files after Microsoft Update KB2670838 was delivered to your computer through Windows updates in late February 2013.

Software developers cannot possibly predict all future updates that Microsoft will make to its operating system or applications. Do us, however, solve the problems when they occur and publish updates as necessary.

A more reasonable notice might suggest looking for an update of the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack instead of pointing the finger and recommending other users to uninstall our product that if it turns out, was not directly responsible for the issue.

You also do not mention that uninstall the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack - while setting the PNG issue you know - also disabled Explorer thumbnails and previews of the Windows for Adobe PSD, EPS Photo Viewer, I and the other 40 formats support us.

The compatibility problem that resulted from the installation of KB2670838 was identified and corrected since, as well as another problem of compatibility that is revealed only after the release of Microsoft Office 2013.

I downloaded a zip file containing a few photos that someone sent me to use. I can open and see the pictures, but cannot save to computer or be able to copy and paste. I get this option is USE as a background. I've never heard of a PNG file so far.

    I have windows 7

HI - are you familiar with the need to extract images from the compressed file? (Select, right click and select 'Extract all'...) PNG images are high quality images, but cannot be changed in the photo gallery... If you prefer you can open PNG images extracted using 'Paint', then click on "save under" (top left) and you will be able to save a jpeg copy.

Let me know if you need more guidance... Cheers, Ric.
