  Different formats have different (DIS) advantages.

  PNG supports palette as well as true color images, it supports channel alpha, but also color overlay. It uses the cuts without loss, so that you get exactly the images you expect at the price of file sizes more big ususally.

Use PNG for everything else, the graphics of the user interface of f.i., sprites with any kind of transparency etc..

  I have 10 and even up to 50 PNG files I want to convert to JPEG. However, I have Photoshop 6.0 and want to know how to do this in PS. These png is raw (don't no size)-can I actually size them first? Can convert to JPEG format at 300 DPI and 1500px wide for all final images?   You can also use IrfanView batch processing: there is much, much faster than Photoshop.

  (A) to download and install IrfanView (one of the most known and popular of the world image viewers). It's a freeware.

  (B) open IrfanView. Go to--> BATCH CONVERSION/RENAME FILE (shortcut: B)

  Fact! Since you mentioned that you need to convert thousands of images, note important here is that IrfanView is several times faster than Photoshop. And the lot never - fails with Photoshop, I lived in the past that the batch conversion would cease or fail for any reason any at times.

  I did a quick test with a simple 95 images at different sizes with the wishes of parameters the OP. I also used the same JPG quality.

  Photoshop CC 2015 Image Processor Pro: 106 seconds

  IrfanView: 13 seconds.

  IrfanView beat Photoshop by a factor of more than 8 times (!) faster. Now extrapolate this number to thousands of images, and you begin to understand that Photoshop can not be the best choice to perform batch conversions.

I was a given and old document to draw some information and images of. Some of these images seem to be incorporated in their old identity document. This isn't something I've ever done, but I'm old school. To make it even better, these images are old screenshots, and nobody kept the originals. They seem to be scaled down in their document, this is not to say it is a larger file hiding somewhere?

  However, is it necessary? I know it will be OK for viewing online, but what happens when I create a pdf of press quality? Is this what is causing problems for the printer?

  And while I'm OK printers with binding psd rather than files JPEG or tiff files? I know that the color would be more accurate if I converted, but this customer is particularly accurate color matching concerned.

  to deal with embedded images - go to your links dialog box - select the embedded link - appearing in the upper right of the links dialog box, and select "désincorporer" - this will open a dialog box asking where to save to (this will be the original)

  JPEGs are fine (sometimes png files can be problematic because they are usually RGB) - color space "may" be a problem - check with your printhouse to see what they prefer (CMYK and not RGB)

  Note: PDF print quality can convert the color space and color changes may occur

  I am new to this forum and relatively new to work with Captivate. I hope there is someone here with more experience who can shed some light on a problem I have.

  I'm creating a presentation using Captivate4 which includes sequences of animation that are built in Flash. Some of these Flash animations contain imprted PNG files. Flash movies work fine. They even look fine when you preview in Captivate. However, when I try to publish the Captivate SWF file format full I get empty rectangles red everywhere where the PNG files are supposed to be. I tried to use JPEG files instead, and I still have the same problem.

  Any ideas?

  I had the same problem in the past and worked around it by converting the images to symbols in flash.

  PDF is smaller and the text is clear, even when zoomed in.

  The files are smaller, but there is no support for it on the Viewer from the office or on Android or Kindle Fire.

  If you use this format on pages with interactivity, interactive parts will always be rasterized.

  Yes, there is a bitmap printer driver that can be configured to produce a PNG or JPEG output.

  It is covered in the printers, but here is a sample reference manual to help you get started:

  We know all that JPEG doesn't support transparency, but the attached file is in JPEG format with transparency and opening the file in Photoshop cs4 its error display (screen shot below) and I tried out in the procedure below

  Another thing to try in photoshop cs4 is to go to file > open as and select PNG and then click Open.

  You can try to denigrate the Photoshop preferences and default reset and see if that helps.

  Steps to follow:

  To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"
