  You can always insert any available unit, just add the unit if it is not the norm. For example write 5pt if you wand 5pt, even if the field displays mm or inches.

  Changing permanently would be possible through preferences, but not only for the single string.

• Firefox uses https rather than http

  I had problems to connect to a site recently so I tried to use https instead of http and I got but only a text based page. Now I want to go back to using http, but Firefox uses https rather than http.

  I put browser.urlbar.autoFill.typed and browser.urlbar.autoFill to false, but it does still even after restarting Firefox. I deleted cookies, the tab of this site closed and restarted Firefox. He always does.

  I tried to set the keyword. URL to http://***.***.org/ "obviously with the correct url.

  One of the reasons why a "Strict-Transport-Security" header sent by your server (or an application on your server). Once Firefox stores this parameter specific to the site, you may be stuck with HTTPS forever. See this thread for an example: Firefix 25.0.1 forces SSL even when http:// is specified in the address bar.

  The function "to forget this site" will erase all the known places that Firefox can keep information on the site. This, of course, history and cookies, but also includes the permissions specific to the site and even favorite.

  If you want to try it, the option is available in two locations:

  • The library dialogue (history > view history). Right click on any entry to the site.
  • The subject: permissions page (type or paste on: permissions in the address bar and press enter). Choose the site from the list on the left and look for the button in the upper right.

  I have briefly spoken on BlackBerry Playbook workshop at LeWeb 10 with the presenter and thought I'd share it here as well.

  Most of the QNX components already exist in the 4.5 Flex / AIR SDK 2.5 framework (button, checkbox, list, StageWebView,...), but they exist in QNX specific packages so that they are "tactile."

  I believe that BlackBerry created a few new components "tactile" because the Flex Framework was not yet ready, but now with Flex 4.5, there these prepared components for mobile.

  Create BlackBerry applications using components from QNX records is easy, but if you really want to develop for multiple platforms, it would be preferable to use skins rather than new components. Skins such as the display of the box could be easily SDK BB so that there is no need to change all the 'new' instructions (or the need to create several plants) but simply to define it in a CSS or Flex theme. In this way the exact same application can be on Android and BB without having to redefine each instantiation.

  I hope the SDK already thought about this team and will provide these theme / Skins

  Hi cjohnm,

  You can use the 5 Lightroom Catalog and improve it in Lightroom 6, therefor all folders and collections will be identical in both version.

  Open the Lightroom all holding the key Alt/Opt and select only the 5 Lightroom Catalog and it will switch to it.

• First CC - multicam using sequences rather than clip sequence

  In Adobe first CC, is it possible to create a multicam source sequence using "clips" with multiple clips rather than simple video clips?  The reason... I've shot with Canon 5 d Mark iii 3... which segment their clips never 4GBs, so around every 8 minutes, separate clips.

  Yes, a multicam source sequence can include nested sequences. But you may not really it. Instead, create a sequence with the series of clips from each camera on another track. Then nest this sequence in another sequence, right-click and select multicamera > activate. It's the way of the old school to be set up for editing multicamera.

  If you really prefer the newest way to creating a multicam source sequence in the project Panel, who works with sequences among the selected project items.

• Built-in social sharing via URL custom rather than "renditions" folio

  We publish a free magazine on the iPad, and we have the same content available for free on our Web site. We would like to send all traffic sharing of the content of our Web site, rather than iPad app iPad through "renditions" folio content.

  Currently, we do this by coding buttons on every page of the iPad which, when we, take people to the corresponding HTML code content via Twitter and Facebook URL sharer. Of course, we would prefer if this could be done through the icon 'share' in the Viewer.

  Is it possible to configure the Viewer to send people to our URL for Facebook, Twitter and Email?

• IVI drivers - OK to use SetValue rather than the specific functions of Config

  It is a general question of IVI driver, although I am currently using c# with the supplied agesani driver by NOR.

  The IVI specifications provide many methods for configuration of devices (for example, ConfigureLevel, ConfigureAcquisition, etc.).  The IVI specification also requires that all drivers provide support for configuration of attributes through SetValue.

  Configurations, the question: can be done through SetValue, or is it necessary to use specific methods to "configure"?

  It is possible to set all the attributes in writing through SetAttribute functions, but this is not the recommended approach.  Configuration methods have been designed to set the related attributes in a logical manner.  Sometimes an attribute must be configured before other attributes.  The configuration functions should be considered.  If you use SetAttribute functions directly, you will probably have to learn more about how the instrument works and responds to commands.

  Photoshop actions have limits, if you are familiar with JavaScript, you should probably examine script instead.

  I have everything configured loadbalancer.

  I tried to edit epm_rewrite_rules.conf by adding

  Is there anyway that I could do.

• When you use a Tablet I get phone view

  I put my site business catalyst and when I look with a Tablet, I get the phone display. I contacted support and they said it's a bug and the team are working on it. I was told I need to subscribe to forums to wait for a fix and once it was set it would be announced in the forums and then I can download my site and it will work, but they had no idea when it would be fixed. So I took my site down from BusinessCatalyst to wait for muse have the feature that has been promised, because it seemed useless to me if it shows a blurred view phone seen on a tablet.

  At first, I thought that I would just have to wait. Then I get to thinking that may not be a large global company like adobe. They may not have released software that is supposed to automatically to redirect depending on your device, but does not work.  I checked the boxes saying redirection in the site properties, so it redirects to the Tablet and phone.

  I felt not sure so I contacted support and they said the bug was just with business catalyst website and if I upload my website to third party hosting it will be right. I was wondering if someone from Adobe could clarify the issue for me. If I test in catalyst for business because it is not work and instead just download my site redirects really will be ok then?

  I'd rather have someone clarify the question before going live with my site.

  Sites hosted on Business Catalyst and those hosted on other hosts use two completely different mechanisms for device detection. Sites hosted on BC brought before a "peripheral database" to search a specific device is a phone or a tablet. Hosted on other hosting sites use a JavaScript snippet that leans on the dimensions of the screen and whether or not it is a touch screen.

  In theory, the approach of the device database must be greater, since that which fills the database on the occasion of porter a judgment call on hybrid Tablet/laptop and phones "phablet" and the decision to serve what is done on the server, while the approach looks JavaScript only to screen size and touch screen support. However, in practice, the database of the device proved expensive and difficult to maintain and the JavaScript approach fits the expectations of visitors site remarkably well.

  When you do "Site Preview in browser" in the Muse what URL is displayed in your browser?   For the next version of Muse, should be out in a few weeks (or less), there is an additional option in the Options section of the dialog box to publish. The new option will let you choose if you want to use the "Universal redirect" (JavaScript) or the "Redirect Business Catalyst" (database of the device) then the publishing a site with several other patterns in British Colombia. I recommend to go to the "Universal Redirect" and recheck your site on your devices.

  Hello Ferds,

  In Windows Explorer, simply type an asterisk in the search engine to return all the files and folders in the folder parent.  You can click on any column heading to sort the results in this column.

  It is a good workaround (thanks Mr Wizard) If you want to view the files in this way - but the procedure does not correct how Explorer files are sorted in the records themselves. And you will have to do it every time you viewed a folder because the search procedure would not automatically from window to window transfer and may not be assigned to do.

  Chrome is a browser, not a search engine.

  My guess is that you want to replace the default search engine in Internet Explorer with Google search.

  If that's what you want to do, click on the gear in the top right of the window icon and select "Manage Add-ons."  In the window that opens, click on "search providers".

  If the only element of the list is Bing, click at the bottom left of the window to «Search again search engines»

  In the "Internet Explorer Gallery" window that opens, scroll down to "Google search" and click Add.  Click on 'Add' in the pop up window. You can close the window "Internet Explorer Gallery".

  Close window 'Manage Add-ons' and then click on the gear icon and open it again.  You should now see Google in the search providers list.

  Click on Google and then click on "Set as default."  Close window 'Manage Add-ons '.

• Cannot update files have point 8.1 of Windows when you use illustrator CS5.1

  A really weird problem started today.  I am able to open and work with the files have.  However, when I save the work, the original file exists, no not update work.  I closed and open the AI and restarted the computer.  But I'm still in the dark. Can I save my work under a new file name.  Hoping someone solved this problem without reinstall illustrator.

  I remember my having seen this (or similar) issue before, but I can't seem to remember the cause/solution.

  He could have (something on) the list below. "resettlement is the last resort 6). ((1-2) are easy and safe. (3-4) are on preferences, ireversibly and reversible. (5) is a collection of other options, some of which may be relevant.

  I also mentioned something on external downstairs, in case that can be taken.

  In any case, I hope that you report your findings, for each of us to know and remember (I hope).

  Sometimes, (some) things can stop working for no apparent reason. When (other) possible reasons/remedies do not work, it can be a kind corruption (temporary or permanent) that can be cured with something on the following list. It starts with a few easy suggestions and safe) 1 and 2) for less severe cases and continues with two 3 ways) and 4) preferences of the society (irreversible and reversible), then follows a list 5) various other possibilities, and it ends with a complete reinstallation 6). If no other suggestion doesn't work, or if no other suggestion appears, you can start on the list and decide how far to go.

  The following is a general list of things, try when

  (A) the question is not in a specific file,

  (B) you have a printer installed, connected and turned on if it's a physical printer (you can use Adobe PDF/Acrobat Distiller as a printer by default without the need to have a printer on, of course you will need to specify when you really need print on paper), and

  (C) It is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media (see below).

  You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

  External media: it is generally recommended here for open/save from/to clean hard disk and to copy to and from networks and removable media. You maybe lucky (for a while), but the chances of corruption of files and other unpleasantnesses are immensely greater when you use something else than the hard drive, and it is better safe than sorry.

  To have a network really work requires little work.

  Make sure that you do not mix Mac and Windows on a network: you must use a Mac with Mac machines and a Windows Server with Windows machines.
